Fatty liver disease: The four early warning signs you could easily miss – 'dull pain'

However, as the Mayo Clinic explains, NAFLD is linked to poor health markers.

These are:

  • Overweight or obesity
  • Insulin resistance, in which your cells don’t take up sugar in response to the hormone insulin
  • High blood sugar (hyperglycaemia), indicating prediabetes or type 2 diabetes
  • High levels of fats, particularly triglycerides, in the blood.

“These combined health problems appear to promote the deposit of fat in the liver,” warns the Mayo Clinic.

“For some people, this excess fat acts as a toxin to liver cells, causing liver inflammation and NASH, which may lead to a buildup of scar tissue in the liver.”

Regal Cinemas to reopen US theaters in early April

Regal Cinemas will kick off a phased reopening in the U.S. with a limited number of theaters opening for “Godzilla vs. Kong” on April 2.

WASHINGTON — For the first time in about six months, Regal Cinemas will be reopening its theaters to the public in April, according to an announcement from its parent company, Cineworld Group.

In an announcement on Tuesday, Cineworld Group said the phased reopening will kick off with a limited number of theaters opening for “Godzilla vs. Kong” on April 2 and going wider with “Mortal Kombat” on April 16.
Movie theaters all over the United States were impacted over the past year as the coronavirus pandemic swept the globe.
“We have long-awaited this moment when we can welcome audiences back to our Regal theatres and restore our essential role within the communities we serve,” said Mooky Greidinger, Chief Executive Officer of Cineworld, in a statement.

He added: “With the health and safety of our customers, staff, and communities as our top priority, we continue to take all the necessary precautions and abide by our CinemaSafe guidelines to confidently provide a safe and comfortable experience. With capacity restrictions expanding to 50% or more across most U.S. states, we will be able to operate profitably in our biggest markets.”
As of the end of September, Regal Cinemas had 536 theatres in 42 states along with the District of Columbia and Guam.
Cineworld added that it plans to reopen its U.K. locations in May, once the government guidance allows it.
On top of reopening U.S. theaters, Cineworld also reached a multi-year agreement with Warner Bros. Cineworld said starting in 2022, Warner Bros. Pictures Group movie releases will have a 45-day window of theatrical exclusivity, with certain provisions.
“We are very happy for the agreement with Warner Bros. This agreement shows the studio’s commitment to the theatrical business and we see this agreement as an important milestone in our 100-year relationship with Warner Bros.” Greidinger added.

Heart attack: How stress can lead to coronary heart disease and an early death

“The best time to make even small changes is always now. It’s easy to think that you’ll do it later, but if something is affecting your health right now, then you need to take action,” said the BHF.

This means ditching a smoking habit – it’s not a healthy way to cope with stress.

Instead, go for a walk – or a jog if you’re feeling up for it. Replacing unhealthy habits with much healthier ones will reduce your risk of a heart attack.

The BHF encourages relaxation exercises, such as yoga, meditation and breathing techniques when facing difficulties.

Genshin Impact 1.5 leaks: Mihoyo addresses early character list reveal

Genshin Impact 1.4 has only just been released but it won’t be long before new characters arrive during Genshin 1.5.

And from what has been shared so far, there will be at least one five-star character available to unlock.

According to the latest leaks, Geshin Impact 1.5 will be arriving in late April and will bring Eula to the roster.

These most recent leaks are not being taken lightly by developers MiHoYo who have gone as far as addressing the information being shared, telling gamers on Twitter:

“Recently, we discovered the dissemination of leaked version 1.5. content.

“Such behaviour not only disrupts our plans to develop and promote the new version, but also causes some Travelers to have misconceptions about the content of the new version.

“Here, we kindly ask for the support and help of all Travelers to resist leaks, and maintain a fair gaming environment. We will also increase our efforts to deal with such illegal disclosures.”

From what has been shared so far, the Genshin team is planning on cracking down on recent leaks but it’s unclear what new content will be available during Genshin 1.5

As referenced in the statement, certain content might have leaked and linked to different versions of the game.

But like with most development projects, some things might need to be delayed, and could cause headaches if they have been shared by unofficial sources.

And it’s probably going to be a full month before we hear more about the Genshin Impact 1.5 release date and what is being planned for it.

In the meantime, there is still plenty of Genshin Impact 1.4 content to look forward to and play.

The Invitation to Windblume event is scheduled to kick off on March 19, the latest in a series of new changes made to the game.

During the event, Travelers can complete challenges related to the Windblume Festival to obtain Festive Tour Tickets and Peculiar Collab Coupons.

Gamers on PS4, PC and Mobile will be able to exchange these in the Event Shop for the event-exclusive weapon Windblume Ode (Bow) and its exclusive refinement material “The Visible Winds,” as well as the Crown of Insight.

There’s no rush to jump in as the new Genshin event will be running until early April and requires Adventure Rank 20 or above.

A message from Mihoyo confirms: “Travelers can participate in three types of Festive Challenges during the event: Bullseye Balloons, Floral Freefall, and Ballads of Breeze. Complete the challenges to obtain Festive Tour Tickets.

“A new stage will be unlocked for each Festive Challenge during each act. In single-player mode, beat certain scores to win prizes off the corresponding characters.

“In Co-Op Mode, you can try to best your friends in Bullseye Balloons and Floral Freefall challenges.

“After the Windblume Festival begins, more activities will appear in the Peculiar Wonderland as the event progresses, including Peculiar Challenges, Peculiar Trials, and Peculiar Conqueror tasks. Travelers can complete the challenges to obtain Peculiar Collab Coupons.”

Due to the time differences, the next big event for Genshin Impact is expected to start late in the day on March 19, in the UK.

How to live longer: Fermented soy linked to a reduced risk of early death – BMJ study

The study found that a higher intake of fermented soy products, such as miso and natto – staple items in the Japanese diet – is associated with a lower risk of death.

In Asian countries, especially Japan, several types of soy products are widely consumed, such as natto (soybeans fermented with Bacillus subtilis), miso (soybeans fermented with Aspergillus oryzae), and tofu (soybean curd).

Researchers had hitherto not established a link between soy products, especially fermented soy products, and specific health effects.

To remedy this, a team of researchers in Japan set out to investigate the association between several types of soy products and death from any cause (“all cause mortality”) and from cancer, total cardiovascular disease (heart disease and cerebrovascular disease), respiratory disease, and injury.

Valtteri Bottas and Mercedes suffer early setback in F1 pre-season testing in Bahrain

In other news from testing, Alfa Romeo team principal Frederic Vasseur is set to miss the entirety of pre-season in Bahrain after testing positive for COVID-19.

He will also remain fully operational and connected to the garage for the duration of the test, and no Deputy Team Principal will be named.

Parkinson’s disease: The five early symptoms of the degenerative brain disorder

Postural instability

This symptom usually occurs in the later stages of the disease and is a balancing issue.

A person may find it difficult to maintain an upright position and is unstable when standing.

This instability leads to a person with Parkinson’s to often fall over.

Freezing

This is when a person feels as if their feet are glued to the ground, especially when turning or changing direction.

Freezing is also when a person feels like their lower half is stuck but the top half is able to move.

Freezing also affects activities such as speaking or when doing a repetitive movement such as writing.
