Chrissy Teigen Reveals How Kim Kardashian’s Really Doing After Kanye West Split: She ‘Gave Her All’

Chrissy Teigen says that her pal Kim Kardashian really ‘tried her best’ when it came to making her marriage to Kanye West work before finally filing for divorce.

Kim Kardashian, 40, put up with a lot from husband Kanye West, 43, in their final year of marriage. From his ill-fated 2020 “presidential run,” spending so much time away from his wife and their four kids on his ranch in Wyoming, to his outbursts on social media claiming he wanted to divorce Kim, the 40-year-old reality star never said a bad word about him. The SKIMS founder’s pal Chrissy Teigen, 35, is confirming that Kim “gave her all” to make their marriage work, saying that she “tried her best” at her union with the rapper. Ultimately, Kim filed for divorce from Kanye on Feb. 19, 2021.

The Cravings cookbook author appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Tues. Apr. 20, and what quite honest when a fan asked, “What is the status of John’s relationship with Kanye right now and have they been in touch since the news of the divorce with Kim broke? And how is Kim doing?” Chrissy’s husband, singer and musician John Legend, 42, had worked creatively in the past and was formerly friends with Kanye. The pair had a falling out in 2018 over Kanye’s support of Donald Trump‘s presidency. The EGOT winner also shaded people as “reckless” if they planned to actually vote for Ye in his 2020 presidential bid.

“I will say I have definitely been in touch with Kim more than John has been in touch with Kanye. If anyone knows Kanye, it’s that he is that he goes off the grid. It’s hard to ever contact Kanye,” Chrissy began part one of the fan’s question. “But Kim is doing okay. I know Kim gave her all for everything and it’s honestly a shame it didn’t work out. Because I saw them being a forever relationship. I really did. But I know she tried her best,” the purple robe-clad former model continued.

Kim and Kanye have four young children together — North, 7, Saint, 5, Chicago, 3, and 23-month-old Psalm — and she worked so hard to keep up the marriage for the sake of their family. But with Kanye spending so much time away in Wyoming, along with his ongoing battle with bipolar disorder where he refused to take his medication, the two ultimately drifted apart.

Kim has been focused on raising their children, along with building her business empire including SKIMS solutionwear and KKW Beauty. Meanwhile, Kanye has vacillated between his devotion to building his Sunday Services and commitment to God, his Yeezy clothing and footwear line and his promises to deliver a new album, which tends to end up beset by delays. But at the end of the day, both are now officially billionaires in 2021 thanks to their business savvy.

Chrissy’s husband John explained his complicated relationship with Kanye in a May 2020 interview with the UK newspaper The Sunday Times. “I’m not trying to disown Kanye because I still love him and love everything we’ve done together creatively. But we were never the closest of friends,” he explained.

When asked if Kanye’s support of Trump increased the distance between them, John didn’t solely blame his and Ye’s rift on the president. “I just think we’re doing our own thing. He’s up in Wyoming. I’m here in LA. We’ve both got growing families, and I no longer have a formal business relationship with him as an artist, so I think it’s just part of the natural cycle of life.”

Jax Taylor Reveals Beautiful Blue Diamond Ring He Gave Brittany Cartwright After Son’s Birth

Jax Taylor surprised Brittany Cartwright with her ‘push present,’ a blue diamond ring, to celebrate their newborn son’s arrival. The ring was designed by the same jeweler who made their wedding bands!

The birthstone for April is a diamond, so it was only appropriate that Jax Taylor gifted Brittany Cartwright with a blue diamond to celebrate the arrival of their baby in April. The former Vanderpump Rules star shared a photo of this sparkly “push present” from him and their son, Cruz Michael Cauchi, on April 18. A lustrous blue diamond sat on top of the ring, which was surrounded by even smaller diamonds. The band was encrusted with — you guessed it — more diamonds.

The ring was designed by celebrity jeweler Kyle Chan, who has worked with stars like Beyoncé, Mariah Carey, Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift. He was the same jeweler who designed the matching diamond wedding bands for Jax and Brittany to exchange at their nuptials in Kentucky in June of 2019, and who also designed Brittany’s 3.14-karat diamond engagement ring. With the addition of this push present, Brittany has no shortage of diamonds to wear now.

Jax and Brittany welcomed their first child together on April 12, about one week before Jax revealed his push present. Brittany took to Instagram to break the birthing news, where she shared a photo of herself in a hospital gown cradling her newborn baby (who was receiving a kiss on the head from his dad).

“Yesterday, April 12th at 1:51pm, our lives changed forever in the absolute best way possible. Our beautiful son Cruz Michael Cauchi was born and we have never been more in love. He is the most precious gift and I am so blessed to be his Mommy. We are soooooo so happy, he is a dream come true!! Both Mommy & Baby are doing great,” Brittany wrote in the birth announcement post.

Since the baby’s arrival, both Jax and Brittany have been happily sharing photos of Cruz. Brittany gave her 1.5 million Instagram fans a one-week update on April 19 by sharing a carousel of adorable pictures, which starred their son. “1 week with our sweet beautiful baby Cruz. [heart emoji] I never could have imagined a love like this,” Brittany wrote under the post.

Public Citizen: Coca-Cola, AT&T gave nearly $1M to legislators backing voting restrictions

Two companies that oppose Georgia’s new voting law have given almost $ 1 million to proponents of similar laws in other states over the past five years, according to a report released Monday by a left-leaning group.

The report[1] from Public Citizen said Coca-Cola and AT&T, whose CEOs disapprove of Georgia’s law, donated more than $ 944,000 to state lawmakers around the country who have introduced or indicated their support for bills that would in some way restrict the right to vote in recent years.

AT&T donated the lion’s share, with more than $ 810,000 in donations to Republican lawmakers around the country who have supported bills that critics say would restrict the right to vote and disproportionately impact minority communities.

“Corporate leaders cannot credibly claim to love America while also giving contributions to lawmakers who are supporting thinly veiled attempts to suppress the vote, especially among people of color,” Public Citizen’s executive vice president, Lisa Gilbert, said in a statement Monday.

“The only acceptable action for corporations to take is to stop giving to supporters of these bills, forever.”

When reached for comment, a Coca-Cola spokesperson said: “We suspended all political contributions[2] in early January after the incident at the U.S. Capitol, and that pause continues.”

AT&T did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Coca-Cola CEO James Quincey slammed Georgia’s new law[3] in an interview with CNBC last week, calling it “unacceptable,” while AT&T CEO John Stankey issued a more measured statement[4] indicating his disapproval.

“We understand that election laws are complicated, not our company’s expertise and ultimately the responsibility of elected officials. But, as a company, we have a responsibility to engage,” Stankey said. “For this reason, we are working together with other businesses through groups like the Business Roundtable to support efforts to enhance every person’s ability to vote. In this way, the right knowledge and expertise can be applied to make a difference on this fundamental and critical issue.”

Stankey became CEO in 2020, while Quincey has been in the top post since 2016.

Meghan Markle gave Princess Anne 'concerns' before wedding to Prince Harry says Lady Colin

Lady Colin Campbell, 71, has said Princess Anne, 70, believed Meghan Markle, 39 to be an unsuitable match for Prince Harry, 36, in a new 38 minute long YouTube video. The I’m A Celebrity star and aristocrat alleges the Princess Royal had “grave concerns” over how the Duchess of Sussex would take to royal life.
Lady C claimed: “Princess Anne was the champion in terms of, ‘Don’t marry that girl, she is unsuitable.’

“She is wrong for us, she is wrong for the country, she is wrong for the job.’ Well, it’s turned out to be true.”

Lady C also alleged the Queen’s second child and only daughter accused Meghan of “flagrantly attention-seeking”.

“It just absolutely turned Princess Anne off,” she said.

“Because she couldn’t stand Meghan’s constant, ‘Uh, uh, me, me me, me’.”

The royal author also spoke on Meghan and her husband Prince Harry’s claims of racism against a member of the Royal Family during their Oprah Winfrey interview last month.

Lady C insisted the Royal Family are entirely not racist, as she said there were “no concerns” over Meghan’s biracial heritage.

She continued: “No one is the guilty party in terms of racism.”

In the interview with Oprah, the Duchess had said there was a comment from a senior member of the Royal Family, about “how dark” her son Archie Mountbatten’s skin may be. However, there is no suggestion that Anne was the unnamed member to remark on Archie’s skin colour.

Meghan told Oprah: “They were saying they didn’t want him to be a prince or princess, which would be different from protocol, and that he wasn’t going to receive security.

“This went on for the last few months of our pregnancy where I was going, hold on for a second.”

According to the Duchess, the decision for Archie not to have a title nor security was made in tandem with “concerns and conversations about how dark [Archie’s] skin might be when he’s born”.

Buckingham Palace spoke out in the days that followed and said issues would be addressed “privately”.

A statement added Harry and Meghan would always be “much loved” by the family.

Prince William told reporters the Royal Family was “very much not racist”.

Lady C was previously married to Lord Colin Ivar Campbell, son of the 11th Duke of Argyll and has written a book on Princess Diana before.

Buckingham Palace declined to comment on the video when approached by The Mirror.

The Daily Express has contacted representatives of Meghan and Prince Harry for comment.

'The girl who never gave up': Huston-Tillotson student shot and killed in her own apartment

Editor’s Note: The video included in this story is from a March 31 APD media briefing about the shooting.

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Police identified the woman killed in a reported shooting at a northwest Austin apartment complex early Wednesday morning.

The Austin Police Department said she was Natalia Monet Cox, 21. She was pronounced dead at the Colonial Grand at Canyon Pointe apartment complex on North Farm-to-Market 620.

Huston-Tillotson University confirmed to KXAN in a statement Thursday[2] that Monet was a senior at the school. She was a biology major on her way to becoming an exotic animal veterinarian, according to HTU.

She was also president of the Pre-Alumni Council, secretary of the Alpha Kappa Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., sat on the executive board of Deeds Not Words and held an internship with Texas Parks and Wildlife for two years.

President Colette Pierce Burnette personally extends her deep condolences and prayers to the Cox family, ‘Natalia was a brilliant and spirited young woman whose rays of light illuminated and brought warmth to every individual she encountered — Natalia Monet Cox, you are forever missed.’
-Huston-Tillotson University

Before Huston-Tillotson, Natalia Cox was making a name for herself in small-town Melissa, Texas.

Natalia’s friends remember her as the girl who never gave up

Natalia’s friends held her in highest regard. They recalled stories of how she always wanted to just make people’s lives’ better, whether through just laughter or doing nice things for them.

“The goal of Natalia was to make other people happy,” said Natalie Courtney. “She was also really prominent in trying to push for diversity where it wasn’t.”

“Everyone in the community knew her, and everyone’s heart is breaking right now,” said Reese Murphy.

One friend, Jessica Gonzales, recalled a time where she helped a complete stranger during a rain storm.

“There this one time we were driving around and it was pouring down rain. She told me to pull over. She ended up giving her letterman to this homeless man. She was just always that person to go above and beyond,” Gonzales said.

Perhaps the hardest part is not getting that next time to talk with a friend after a tragedy like this one

“I remember the last time I talked to her I said I was so proud of her and her accomplishments. I didn’t know that would be our last conversation,” said Nadia Monroe.

“Natalie Cox was a light in the world that will never be replaced. She was destined for pure greatness,” said Claire Morrison. “She was one of my biggest role models and inspirations, and I know many would say the same.”

The 911 call came in at 2:43 a.m., police said. Callers reported the sounds of a door being kicked in, then several gunshots, a woman screaming and someone running away and leaving in a car.

When officers got there, they saw an apartment front door that looked like it had been forced open. Police said when officers went inside, they found Cox in one of the bedrooms with apparent gunshot wounds to her body.

Police said officers tried to save her, but once Austin-Travis County EMS took over and assessed her condition, she was pronounced dead at 3:04 a.m. The Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office will do an autopsy to determine the official cause and manner of death.

Investigators are developing leads toward a possible suspect, APD said. The case is still open. This is the 20th homicide for the City of Austin so far this year.

Anyone with information can call APD Homicide at (512) 974-8477. A $ 1,000 reward is available for information leading to an arrest.

Grace Kelly earnings: What happened to Grace Kelly's millions? How star gave up everything

“Not only on the one hand where she’s no longer able to work, and you see that in an interview where she was asked, ‘What does this mean for your career now’ and she said, ‘It’s up to the prince.’

“So the ability to earn any income of her own was completely dashed, and that’s one level.

“But the other level was, she’d also spent all of these years she’d given up, she’d moved away from her family, she gave up the security of her family, and actually had to fund her acting on her own through modelling.

“So she’s worked so hard. She was known as a very hard worker over the years. And, and all of the money that she earned was used to pay the dowry.”

‘She was in her feelings’: LA Lakers ace Montrezl Harrell claims female NBA official gave ‘soft’ call because she felt ‘belittled’

Presented by

Los Angeles Lakers forward Montrezl Harrell was left perplexed by the performance of referee Jenna Schroeder in an agonizing defeat on Wednesday, claiming that she gave a foul against him because she was “holding onto a grudge”.

Towering Harrell had a frustrating game in the 123-120 loss to the Sacremento Kings, suffering the narrow defeat despite scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds ahead of the All-Star break.

After putting his side 33-26 ahead in the second quarter, Harrell said he had yelled “and-1” on his retreat – a term used to appeal for a free throw in the belief of being fouled on a successful shot.

“No cursing, no profanity, none of that,” insisted the 6ft7in Sixth Man of the Year.

“And she turned around and gave me a tech because she was in her feelings, because she felt like I was too loud with her or I belittled her when we were talking [earlier].

“You can’t bring that into the game. I don’t care who it is; I don’t care what the situation is.

“Whether me and you or me and whatever ref got into it, in a verbal conversation the play before, just because you’re still holding onto a grudge from that, you cannot come back and give me a [technical foul].”

Harrell added that he would have arena employees at the Kings’ home and onlookers from both teams supported him.

“The tech that I got definitely was a big one for me and definitely shouldn’t have been called, because at [that] instance of, I’m not looking at her [Schroeder]. I was nowhere near her vicinity. I’m running back on defense.

“I think some of the referees – and this is not bashing any referee in general – but there cannot be any instances of calling the game that soft.”

The 27-year-old promised that the incident would not silence him as he bids to help the Lakers improve a run of seven defeats in 10 games.

“I’m going to keep playing with the same passion and fire that I do. I didn’t stop talking throughout the rest of the game.

“I kept playing with the same fire and same mode that I had all game. It just is what it is.”

ABBA Waterloo: Meaning of the lyrics and why the UK gave it 'nul points' at Eurovision

The lyrics were written by ABBA’s manager Stig Anderson and famously open with one of the most unlikely lines in pop history.

Waterloo starts: “My, my, At Waterloo, Napoleon did surrender. Oh yeah, And I have met my destiny in quite a similar way.”

The song is referring to the famous Battle of Waterloo, which took place on Sunday, June 18, 1815, near the Belgian town of the same name.

Napoleon Bonaparte and his French forces were defeated by two armies – a Prussian army and another, commanded by the Duke of Wellington, which combined troops from the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Hanover, Brunswick, and Nassau.

So why would a pop song merrily talk about a bloody battle which killed almost 50,000 people?
