‘He had to wait almost two weeks!’ Prince Andrew finally met his new grandchild Sienna

Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mappelli Mozzi visited Prince Andrew in Windsor on Friday with their newborn daughter Sienna Elizabeth Mappelli Mozzi. A source told The Sun: “It is quite something that he had to wait almost two weeks before he met her.”

Sarah Ferguson, Prince Andrew’s ex-wife left Balmoral to be at the hospital in London where Beatrice gave birth.

However, it has also been reported the announcement of the newborn’s name was delayed until the Duke of York left Balmoral.

Last week Princess Beatrice posted the name of her newborn on Twitter – it read: “We are delighted to share that we have named our daughter Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi.”

The post added: “We are all doing well and Wolfie is the best big brother to Sienna.”

The newborn is the Queen’s 12th great-grandchild.

She was born at 11.42pm on September 18 at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London.

Sienna Elizabeth is also 11th in line to the throne.

Her middle name is a tribute to the current Monarch.

‘He loves fame and fortune’ Prince Harry is ‘deluded’ over US move says Lady Colin

“It’s hard to do but for me, it comes down to awareness.

“I never saw it, I never knew about it, and then suddenly I started to piece it together and go, ‘Okay, so this is where he went to school, this is what happened, I know this about his life, I also know that is connected to his parents so that means he’s treated me the way he was treated, so how can I change that for my own kids?’

“And here I am, I moved my whole family to the US, that wasn’t the plan but sometimes you’ve got make decisions and put your family first and put your mental health first,” he finished.

Prince Harry quit working as a senior member of the Royal Family at the beginning of last year.

‘He tapped’: UFC legend Werdum stunned by bizarre KO defeat after claiming he was showing mercy by letting opponent escape (VIDEO)

Former UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum has cried foul play after his Professional Fighters League (PFL) debut ended in defeat, with the veteran claiming opponent Renan Ferreira tapped out before gaining a TKO victory.

In his maiden outing for his new employers, ‘Vai Cavalo’ started off well as the two combatants let off a series of flying kicks at one another.

Ferreira took top position, but Jiu-jitsu expert Werdum refused to yield on an armbar hold that later became a triangle choke.

Carrying on regardless, Ferreira powered through with a barrage of punches that eventually caused referee Keith Peterson to wade in and call a TKO stoppage.

Controversy took center stage and the shine off Ferreira’s win when replays clearly showed that he tapped Werdum’s shoulder while stuck in the triangle choke.

“I think everybody saw the fight,” the Porto Alegre native said in a post-fight interview, discussing how he had loosened his grip.

“He tapped and I have to respect my opponent. I have to stop. Maybe I [should have opted to] break his arm or put him to sleep.

“When he tapped, I automatically stop the fight but he kept going to punch my head. But I stopped because he tapped.”

Asked whether he would appeal the result that cost him six points in the tournament, the 43-year-old wasn’t entirely clear – but he has now filed one with the New Jersey State Athletic Control Board, according to his manager, Ali Abdelaziz.

The PFL will send the governing body the footage for review, but there is no doubt for Werdum that he was done dirty.

“In my mind it was over because I feel when he tapped my shoulder. This is why I stopped the fight,” he said.

“I stopped and he keeps going to punch my head. The referee doesn’t see nothing. When you tap, you have to stop the fight.

“But it happened and everyone saw he tapped for sure and he knows he tapped.”

Onlookers laughed at the fact that Werdum lost his PFL debut to a guy who played him in a biopic of BJJ legend Fernando “Tererê” Augusto that is set to be released later this year.

Calling the scrap “crazy theater”, others questioned why Werdum relented – but MMA practitioners explained that the seasoned veteran has been taught to do so when his opponent has clearly submitted.

Werdum also addressed the saga on Twitter. “I’ve been fighting for 23 years, and one of the first things we learn when your opponent gives up [is that] we have to respect [them],” he said.

While debate played out over social media and UFC welterweight title challenger Gilbert Burns demanded the result be overturned, one punter predicted that the controversy will “play out as a win for PFL”.

“Ambiguous enough ending that they can gift him points to make the playoffs, yet it’s generating 10 times the discussion a simple steamrolling — or even an uncontroversial upset — would have,” they added.

“And if they meet again in the playoffs? Hoo boy.”

Russian ex-champ Yan joins fans to mock latest MMA

A Senegalese MMA heavyweight who collapsed on his back after being hit by a punch on the bell in a fight has been likened to Aljamain Sterling, the UFC star who was accused of fakery in a hugely controversial win over Petr Yan.

As both fighters threw punches, Oumar ‘Reug Reug’ Kane was caught by a hard right hand from Kirill Grishenko as the bell rang in their ONE Championship Contest, staggering around the canvas for a few seconds before taking to the floor while a medical team spent several minutes trying to fully revive him.

The curious scene was immediately reminiscent of stunned Sterling’s dramatic finale to his acrimonious meeting with Yan last month, when the feared Russian was disqualified after being adjuged to have illegally kneed his rival, who insisted he had been in no fit state to continue after sprawling around the cage for a prolonged period afterwards.

“Just saw the heavyweight Aljamain,” laughed Justin Tafa, who fights for the UFC in Kane’s weight division, watching Grishenko shrug his shoulders to indicate that he did not understand what the issue was following the shot that caused the previously unbeaten fan favorite to gasp and roll his eyes as he lay on the canvas.

Yan, who has repeatedly accused the dismissive Sterling of acting since he was dethroned as champion in deeply contentious circumstances, echoed Tafa’s amusement in his reply, while some fans suggested Kane should receive an award for playacting named after Sterling.

“Good call,” applauded one of the unimpressed viewers to praise the refereeing decision to declare Grishenko the winner by TKO. “Acting is lame and it’s ruining the sport.”

“It’s hilarious to watch him stand there for two seconds staring, then suddenly fall,” added another. “What a delayed reaction.”

Kane had his sympathizers. “That’s after the bell,” argued one, while a fellow backer replied to the question of whether the official had acted fairly by claiming: “Absolutely not. The last hit was after the bell, so it’s irregular.”

Grishenko seemed a little confused by the saga at the Sinagpore Indoor Stadium. “To be honest with you, after the fight I came to my room and I replayed what happened during the fight,” he told SCMP MMA.

“I saw that both of us punched at the same time during the bell, I guess before the bell. I’m not sure why he didn’t want to go to the third round. I’m not my opponent, but if I would be in his mind, I would definitely continue.”

Grishenko did not openly agree with cynics who suggested Kane was tired. “I can’t answer this question, to be frank, because I’m not my opponent,” he continued.

“But if I was him I would have continued to the third round. I would like to say thank you very much to ONE Championship for the rational decision that happened. The judge, as well, saw that the punch was before the bell – not after.”

The win meant the 6ft 4in Belarusian improved his record to four fights unbeaten as a professional.

Jorge Masvidal predicts Kamaru Usman will break Colby Covington

Jorge Masvidal came up short in his second bid to seize the welterweight title from around the waist of Kamaru Usman, but says that the next man up, UFC firebrand Colby Covington, will suffer a similar fate later this year.

Masvidal was knocked out for the first time in his 50-fight career in last weekend’s UFC event in Jacksonville, Florida when Usman connected a flush right hand that sent ‘Gamebred’ crumpling to the canvas.

The win was Usman’s 14th in succession in the UFC and was enough to raise him to second place in the organization’s pound-for-pound list when the new rankings were released this week – and Masvidal says that Usman’s winning streak is set to continue when he welcomes the challenges of the controversial Covington.

I think Kamaru keeps his hands up and comes to fight Colby the same fight that he did the first time. He just puts a thorough beating on him,” Masvidal told ESPN.

“Colby will try and get some takedowns on him, and it might not work. Colby’s gas tank with other wrestlers is not something he wants to do. That’s why he didn’t take a shot in the first fight, because he knows he’s going to have to get tired.”

The sequel between Usman and Covington will be a rematch of a fiercely competitive fight between the two in December 2019 which ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ won by late TKO finish – a conclusion which Covington has protested ever since.

But as far as Masvidal sees it, there isn’t much that Covington will be able to do against the man who stands alone as the world’s best welterweight fighter.

As long as Kamaru is in wrestling shape and comes in the same as the first time, hands up, pressuring him, I think he breaks him again,” Masvidal concluded.

His hands are where they need to be at right now. I bet he’s goingto have more confidence than ever because he knows I’m somebody that’s never been finished.

“So he can definitely take that with a pride of honor, put his hard head on, keep getting the work. I think he gets a finish on Colby.”

DMX’s Kids Deliver Heartbreaking Eulogies At Memorial: ‘He Was The Best Dad Ever’

DMX’s children delivered emotional eulogies at their father’s memorial service, and even wrote an original song dedicated to their dad.

DMX has been remembered not only as an incredible talent in the music industry, but also a loving father to his children. His eldest son Xavier highlighted this during his eulogy at the April 24 memorial for the rapper, held in New York City. The touching service, which was also streamed live on YouTube, comes just a few weeks after the legendary rapper died at the age of 50 following a heart attack.

“Thank you to every single soul on this planet who has been with this family. You can never prepare for anything like this,” he began. “Our father is a king, our father is an icon. I am so honored to have a father like we have. This man deepened my ability to love.” Xavier also spoke about some of the “lessons” his dad taught him: “Always say thank you. No matter where you go a blessing is everywhere. Be kind to everyone.” He concluded his eulogy by saying, “We are his blessing right here,” referencing his other siblings standing beside him.

One of DMX’s younger sons also took the microphone, delivering a heartrending message while holding back tears. “He wasn’t just a rapper, he was the best dad ever.” One of his daughter’s also performed a rap dedicated to her dad. “I’m growing, I’m learning, to hold my head up. My daddy’s still holding my hand so i gotta get up,” she sang.

Prior to the service, DMX’s fiance Desiree Lindstrom paid tribute to her longtime partner after his sad passing. She took to Instagram on April 17, thanking God for blessing her with the musician, and father of her son, Exodus. “The first night we met and you held me close. I knew I would never let go. I was lost in you and nothing else mattered,” she wrote in her caption. “My best friend, my baby, my love…truly my everything. Thank you for us. Thank you for Exodus. Thank you God for Earl Simmons…forever X.”

His ex-wife, Tashera Simmons, also paid tribute to her “best friend” and “mentor”, with whom she shares four kids. “I also thank god for his life, and his peace, and his journey, and his life lessons that [were] passed on, and will live on for generations,” she said. In her caption, Tashera also wrote that she was “crying” and experiencing a “rollercoaster of emotions” as she celebrated her 50th birthday the day after he died. “I couldn’t bring myself to just celebrate and close the last 50yrs of my life with out celebrating the life of one of the most important person in the world to me, my ex-husband,” she wrote.

‘He never left his seat!’ Youngster sends baseball fans wild by effortlessly beating player to viral catch at first game (VIDEO)

A young baseball fan enjoyed a dream first game in the stands by making a fantastic catch during the MLB meeting between the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Atlanta Braves.

Diamondbacks star Kole Calhoun was attempting to meet a foul fly ball, but found himself having to battle with a 13-year-old supporter of the home team Braves who had brought his own mitt.

The youngster, Cord McLerran, made the catch, but rather than get irritated by the play that helped the Braves, Calhoun could only show respect through a warm fist-bump in a touching moment.

The Trust Park crowd – and many more online – was sent into raptures by the highlight of a 5-4 win for the hosts, after which, the Fan of the Night was interviewed by local media.

As a pundit bigged the boy up as a “celebrity” with the “coolest glasses I’ve ever seen”, McLerran revealed that Calhoun told him: “You caught that one, let me catch the next one.”

“At first when I saw it I was, like, ‘That can’t be coming to me,'” he explained, when starting to tell the story of the event.

“Then I realized it was and I didn’t know whether to stand up or sit down. So I just went for it. And once I saw it was in my glove, I felt so good,” McLerran went on.

Asked what he was going to “tell the guys at school” about his feat, the boy answered: “Well first I’m going to brag about how close to the foul line I was. Then I’m gonna say ‘Yeah, I’m pretty sure I’m famous in Atlanta, Georgia now’.”

Replying to the clip on Twitter, his mother Samantha remarked that she “would have really loved to have gotten his baseball signed, but Kole Calhoun was so awesome to my son!!!”

“It was Cord’s first ever MLB game!,” she added.

“What a great memory for your family and [a] classy move by Kole. Hope your son’s second favorite team will be the Diamonbacks!,” another MLB enthusiast commented.

Golf social media stunner Paige Spiranac also approved, dropping a simple “I love this” message alongside a welling-up-with-tears emoji.

‘He praised Guardiola yesterday then beat him up today’: Chelsea fans in thrall to Tuchel as resurgence continues at Wembley

Thomas Tuchel has been hailed for putting on a tactical masterclass as his Chelsea team shut down Manchester City to book a spot in the FA Cup final.

Chelsea edged out the runaway Premier League leaders 1-0 in their semi-final on Saturday thanks to a 55th-minute strike from Moroccan wing wizard Hakim Ziyech.

READ MORE: Chelsea crush Man City’s quadruple dream as Tuchel revolution rolls on

The Blues constrained their rivals with the tenacity and defensive stinginess that has become their hallmark under Tuchel, as dreams of a quadruple for Pep Guardiola’s team came shuddering to a halt at Wembley.

The win for Chelsea was yet more vindication for the decision made by Russian owner Roman Abramovich to wield the axe in January with the team struggling under Frank Lampard.

Since former Paris Saint-Germain boss Tuchel took the helm, he has set about restoring confidence in the Blues’ talent-laden ranks, moving them back into contention for the Premier League top four and booking semi-final berths in the Champions League and now FA Cup.

Tuchel, 47, will become the first German to manage a team in the world’s oldest cup competition when his team face either Southampton or Leicester City on May 15.

Moreover, Tuchel has suffered just two defeats in his 19 games in charge of the Stamford Bridge outfit, in a sequence which has included victories against teams led by managerial talents Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp, Diego Simeone, Jose Mourinho and Carlo Ancelotti – all without conceding a single goal in those games.

Yet again on Saturday Tuchel got his tactics spot on, having initially raised eyebrows with the inclusion of Kepa Arrizabalaga in goal and the return of the misfiring Timo Werner up front.

In the event, the German forward was instrumental in Chelsea’s winner as he broke down the left before feeding Ziyech for a tap-in.

Prior to the game, Tuchel had hailed Guardiola’s City as the “benchmark” in Europe, although as Blues fans pointed out, that flattery was followed by a brutally efficient display on how to nullify the threat.

Elsewhere, Chelsea fans hailed Tuchel as “world class” for the impact he has made, with the ensuing reversal in fortunes barely conceivable when the German stepped into the dugout with the team stuck in a slump at the end of January.

The fact that Manchester City outclassed Chelsea with embarrassing ease the last time the two teams met towards the end of Lampard’s ailing tenure showed even more starkly just how far Tuchel has taken the team as they triumphed against the same opposition on Saturday.

Chelsea reached the same stage of the FA Cup last season under Lampard before losing to London rivals Arsenal in a bitterly disappointing display, although this time around they will surely be hot favorites against either Leicester or Southampton, not least because of Tuchel’s tactical acumen.

Next up for Chelsea are Premier League meetings with Brighton and top-four rivals West Ham, before they travel to Spain for a Champions League semi-final first-leg against Real Madrid.
