Rapper DMX rushed to hospital after 'drug overdose' leaves him in 'critical condition'

“Talking about your problems is viewed as a sign of weakness when actually it’s one of the bravest things you can do.

“One of the bravest things you can do is put it on the table, chop it up, and just let it out,” he told  People’s Party with Talib Kweli.

DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, disclosed that the person who introduced him to hip-hop is the same person who handed him a  cigarette laced with crack cocaine.

This unnamed person, whom he considered a mentor, declined to tell him that he was smoking a highly addictive substance.

Sky News' Jacquie Beltrao 'incredibly rashy' on TV return just 2 DAYS after hospital stay

She tweeted: “Back in on a Friday @SkyNews for the first time in a while – sport in just a sec but I’ve got a question for you – tweet me.

“(PS note the polo neck shirt I’m still incredibly rashy!).”

Her words accompanied a video, as she spoke about the task in hand while looking chic in royal blue blouse.

“Good morning, I’m back in on a Friday for the first time in about a gazillion years,” she stated.

Eamonn Holmes in hospital with pain he’s never experienced as fans flock to wish him well

The presenter took a 10-week break from This Morning and Sky News at the time which included his recovery period.

He previously told The Mirror: “The pain was too much, the inability to stand – whether at a party, or to report on a news story, host a quiz show, to go shopping, play a round of golf, fool around with my kids or even walk the dog – one by one became too much.

“So I didn’t make the decision, the decision was made for me.

“But I did I decide to have both my hips done at once.”

Post-operation, he added: “I stand straighter, am an inch taller, can touch my toes and sit without pain.”

UFC warrior Stipe Miocic’s wife reassures fans he is ‘alright’ by sharing picture from hospital after shuddering UFC 260 KO defeat

UFC heavyweight Stipe Miocic’s wife has taken to social media to put fans’ minds at rest following his brutal knockout at the hands of Francis Ngannou at UFC 260 on Saturday, posing next to the bruised fighter in hospital.

The Croatian was knocked out in brutal fashion as he lost his title in Las Vegas, taking a heavy beating in the second round of his rematch against heavy-hitting Cameroonian Ngannou.

Unable to go 2-0 in a grudge match series with his rival, Miocic missed out on a chance to surpass Randy Couture with seven title wins in the division and set up a super fight with Jon Jones.

“He’s alright, still my hero!” ran the caption to Ryan Marie Miocic’s post.

The post was accompanied by a photo of the couple that showed the 38-year-old brawler, although banged up, looking far better than he had at the end of the encounter while raising a smile from his hospital bed.

Despite his advancing years and the savage nature of his fourth defeat, there hasn’t been any talk of Miocic winding up his career yet.

His legacy as the greatest UFC heavyweight of all time is considered secure among many commentators for now, and there is still the possibility of a trilogy clash with Ngannou to match his 2-1 series win against Jon Jones’ bitter foe, Daniel Cormier.

To Jones’ and perhaps Miocic’s dismay, Ngannou looks to be moving past them and on to another revenge bout.

Despite ‘The Predator’ calling Jones out following his impressive win, UFC president Dana White wants Ngannou to face Derrick Lewis once more instead.

Kate Garraway talks 'shocking' change to husband's body after losing 8 stone in hospital

Kate Garraway, 53, is a well known face on UK morning TV but in the past year her name has become one entangled with heartbreak, empathy and hope. Her husband Derek Draper, 53, is now the longest surviving COVID-19 patient in the country, after being admitted to hospital a year ago where he still remains, but she notes that the change in his body is “shocking” after he lost eight stone in intensive care.
A documentary following Kate and her family’s struggle over the past year is set to air on ITV this month, after film crews began to capture his health battle last summer.

The harrowing account will show footage of Derek at his sickest with glimpses of his recovery.

But Kate warned fans that what they will see will leave them in a state of shock.

“The change in his body is shocking,” she said in a recent interview.

It comes after the former lobbyist was hit with the full force of Covid, that ravaged his entire body.

The illness has affected his kidneys, damaged his liver and pancreas, and caused his heart to stop on more than once occasion.

On top of all this he also caught pneumonia with numerous other infections leaving holes in his lungs.

The epic fight to stay alive has seen him lose a whopping eight stone whilst spending months in intensive care, and it’s these changes that left even his nearest and dearest staggered at his current physical appearance.

Knowing that her situation is that of other families around the UK, she has been updating viewers regularly on the ITV show, giving hope that there may be light at the end of the tunnel not just for Derek, but for others too.

“I’m sure there’s plenty of people who think, ‘Why is she going on about it all the time? My husband’s sick too,” Kate admitted to The Times.

“But inevitably, because of the job I happen to do, I’ve talked about the situation on air because it would be weird not to.

“I know this sounds a little bit holier-than-thou, but I’m also very conscious that I have a voice that other people don’t. So it’s really important to say stuff that I’ve experienced because I will not be alone in those experiences.”

Prince Philip leaves hospital after heart procedure

The 99-year-old had been hospitalized since being admitted to the private King Edward VII’s Hospital in London on Feb. 16, where he was treated for an infection.

LONDON, UK — Editor’s Note: The video above is from March 4, 2021.

Britain’s Prince Philip left a London hospital on Tuesday after being treated for an infection and undergoing a heart procedure.
Philip, 99, the husband of Queen Elizabeth II, had been hospitalized since being admitted to the private King Edward VII’s Hospital in London on Feb. 16, where he was treated for an infection.
He was later transferred to a specialized cardiac care hospital, St. Bartholomew’s, for a short stay, before returning to King Edward VII’s.
Photographers standing outside the door of the private hospital captured his departure. Buckingham Palace has not yet commented on the matter.
Philip’s illness is not believed to be related to the coronavirus. Both Philip and Elizabeth received COVID-19 vaccinations in January and chose to publicize the matter to encourage others to also take the vaccine.
This is a developing story.

Kate Garraway mistakenly told husband Derek Draper ‘may have died’ in hospital mix-up

“I had a lot of sleep and medicine and feeling much better,” she added.

Kate spent Christmas apart from Derek due to coronavirus restrictions.

She continued: “I haven’t been able to see him since Christmas, we’re back into a situation of looking at strangers in masks.

“That’s the situation for everybody at the moment. It’s tough. When you’re someone like him, dealing with a consciousness problem and trying to emerge, I can’t help but fear it’s not helpful.

“There’s no end in sight to that. There’s no one to blame or be angry with. It’s tough.”

Two Point Hospital: Jumbo Edition Available Today on Xbox

Look, we get it. You’re a pro hospital administrator. You can whip a healthcare institution into shape at a moment’s notice. Queues of people line up in an orderly fashion to be seen by your top docs, who successfully diagnose them in mere seconds before sending them for successful cures.

You, my friend, are a tippity-top, total heathcare hero. You’re a champ. You’re the best in the biz. You’re certainly better than the administrator described in our last Xbox Wire article.

But have you considered aliens?

Two Point Hospital: Jumbo Edition

You know, aliens. The grey things? The ones with the eyes? The ones that are pouring through your hospital doors as we speak? Oh, my sweet summer child. If you haven’t dealt with aliens, you haven’t seen the half of it.

And what about your hospitals out in the sticks? Do you have an ecological vibe on the go? Are you planting carrots, for goodness sake? Are you successfully monitoring power use? Are you dealing with the political ambitions of an ecological megalomaniac? Or are you just consuming power & chucking out CO2 to your heart’s content? And I thought you were a doctor. A champ.

You know, maybe I need to look at you again. Maybe you need to look at yourself. Or maybe you need to check out the Close Encounters and Off the Grid expansions for Two Point Hospital, which are fortuitously included in Two Point Hospital: Jumbo Edition.

Two Point Hospital: Jumbo Edition

Tell me more, Mr…

Well, OK then. As you wish.

First up, let’s delve into the world of Close Encounters. Harrison Wolf, Two Point County’s intrepid local DJ, has thoughts. Thoughts of a conspiracy that is wrapping itself around the town of Goldpan. This town has recently seen a fireball streaking above its sandy climes, and not everyone thinks it’s a natural phenomenon. No, you see, Harrison thinks it’s aliens.

But it goes deeper. So much deeper. What if the town of Goldpan was just a façade? What if, deeper behind the scenes, somewhere behind a murky curtain, there was a military base, teeming with aliens? What if they are already here, walking among us? What if you, for some reason, have to build a hospital here?

Two Point Hospital: Jumbo Edition

My goodness. What if?

Slip across the map of Two Point County, though, and you’ll find yourself somewhere different entirely. The sand dunes part and are replaced by a lush and verdant landscape of trees, and oxygen and, blimey, hope! This is the setting of the Off the Grid expansion.

Hope, you see, because the local politician, Tabitha Windsock, has a dream. A dream that’s green. A green dream. She’s building an eco-city with her name on it, and she needs your help to cure the people in her constituency so that they can remain healthy, keep voting for her, and, of course, keep paying taxes.

Two Point Hospital: Jumbo Edition

You’ll encounter wild ailments like Hare Brained, Root Snoot and Bodily Druids, as well as the troubling-sounding Flappy Hamper, in your quest to cure the county.

But it doesn’t end there, because the Jumbo Edition also includes earlier DLCs like Bigfoot (help an eccentric billionaire who just so happens to be a Yeti manage his snowy healthcare resort / castle), and Pebberley Island (help explorer Wiggy Silverbottom blaze a sterilized trail through the tropics in a quest for the fountain of eternal life).

Not only that, but if you’re like me, someone who likes to place lamps and rugs down at arbitrary angles for hours on end to please your patients, you’ll get a real kick out of the two included item packs – the Retro Items Pack and the Exhibition Items Pack.

Two Point Hospital: Jumbo Edition

Retro brings to the fore some mighty props of yesteryear, like pinball machines, ducks to hang on your wall, old televisions, gramophones and more. I love placing them all down in my staff rooms! Not only that, but you’ll get an interactive photo booth, an emu ride and more.

The Exhibition Items Pack is an exploration of the nuance of sculptural art. Take in such seminal works as “keys on a podium,” and a large pig. Place an orrery down in your lobby and become transfixed by the motion of the celestial bodies. You know what? Just stick a whole flippin’ dinosaur skeleton in your lobby while you’re at it.

We know you’re going to have a blast with this stuff and can’t wait for you to get stuck in! Please check out the Two Point Hospital: Jumbo Edition today on the Xbox Store and tell all your friends. Or else we’ll send the aliens after you.

‘Stomach-turning’: Norwegian ski star airlifted to hospital after horrific crash leaves her screaming in agony (VIDEO)

Presented by RT.com

Skiing fans have admitted to having their “stomachs turned” after an horrific accident involving Kajsa Vickhoff Lie in the super-G in Val di Fassa which left the Norwegian screaming in obvious pain with a suspected broken leg.

The 22-year-old lost control as she descended the Italian slopes Sunday after hitting an edge at high speed which caused her to plummet backwards and collide with the safety net.

Replays of the incident appeared to show Vickhoff Lie’s left leg twist at an awkward angle and when she finally came to rest, her anguished cries of pain could be clearly heard on the television broadcast.

Reports from the scene have since suggested that she suffered a broken leg in the crash as well as injuries to at least one of her knees.

She was subsequently airlifted to hospital for treatment for her serious injuries.

The race was delayed for a period of 30 minutes to allow for Vickhoff Lie to receive treatment on the slopes, as well as to facilitate her airlift.

Incredibly, a second medical airlift was required soon after the event resumed after Austria’s Rosina Schneeberger when, while at the top of her run, she connected with a control gate before crashing and, just as Vickhoff Lie did a short time earlier, coming to a stop entangled in security netting.

She was stretchered away from the slopes and transported to hospital for treatment.
