“I do yoga every day, I meditate, I watch my diet and do everything I can to stay positive.”

Bill, who is described as Wycombe Wanderers’ most famous supporter, said that living with cancer “can be a burden” – but that football has provided some valuable relief.

“When you have cancer, it’s with you all day every day,” he said.

He added that watching his favourite team kept his mind off his health.

Bill explained: “I was so absorbed in the game, so excited I completely forgot it.

“That’s what happens in games, you get swept away in the excitement of it, win, lose or draw. And that’s a wonderful relief.”

Earlier this year, Bill reunited with his former Breakfast co-host Susanna Reid on Good Morning Britain.

It comes after Piers Morgan stepped down from his presenting gig in March.

Elsewhere, Piers returned to ITV at the weekend for a new episode of Life Stories.

He was tasked with interviewing Joan Collins about her lucrative career in show business.

However, viewers were left laughing when the starlet shut down Piers’ question about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

He asked: “What do you make of what’s going on with the British royal family now, with Meghan, Harry, the feud, with William, Charles?”

Joan then cheekily replied: “My lips are sealed on that subject.

“I just don’t want to go on national TV and say what I think about Meghan and Harry, because look what happened to you.”

Piers’ controversial comments about the royal were behind his exit from GMB back in March.

Following her and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah Winfrey, he admitted he didn’t believe her.

The move led to more than 57,000 complaints to Ofcom and Piers exited later that week.

Jeremy Clarkson inundated with support as fox wreaks havoc on farm: ‘Killed 34 of my hens'

“I can still hear the shrill, keening noise he made, though, so there’s no way I was going to try to unjam my barn door while perched on a long wooden killing machine. Especially when I have a JCB telehandler.”

Jeremy went on to share his fears about “toppling over” and falling underneath his tractor after experiencing a close call last year.

The presenter said: “Another issue in farming is being crushed.

“I don’t even want to think about that, but soon I shall have to because it’s that time of year when I have to cultivate my game covers. And one is located on a precipitous slope.

“Last year I was almost sitting on the side window of my tractor as I went along and I was acutely aware that at any moment it could topple over and that I’d end up underneath it, being pushed into the ground like a tent peg. I’m told this is the most painful way to die.”
