Invasion of ladybugs on the North Black Sea coast

Invasion of ladybugs on the North Black Sea coast. Many people are impressed by the phenomenon. According to experts, it has a simple explanation.

“It is completely explainable with aphid calamity. In Varna, I think there were so many aphids about 20 years ago, but it is not unusual. And because the biggest enemy and favorite prey for ladybugs are aphids, so their population has developed very quickly, “said Dr. Antoaneta Toncheva, head of the municipal enterprise” DDD “- Varna.

And in order to restore the biological balance, in this case no human intervention is needed.

“When they reduce the food or eat most of the aphids, they will scatter themselves because they will go looking for food elsewhere,” explained Dr. Toncheva.

According to experts, ladybugs are in no way dangerous to humans, and their large number can melt literally in a day.

In 2019, in an unprecedented environmental action, the authorities in the Brazilian city of Belo Horizonte distributed … ladybugs. Residents received the insects in plastic containers.

The town hall of Belo Horizonte – the capital of the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais, organized an environmental campaign in which residents were given more than 2,000 ladybugs.

According to the plan of the city authorities, insects should help in the fight against pests on green areas.

As part of the campaign, passers-by were given plastic containers with ladybugs to release not far from their homes, thus expanding their scope.

China war threat: Taiwan activates missiles amid fears of imminent Beijing invasion

Chinese warplanes violated Taiwan’s air defence identification zone (ADIZ) for the fourth time this month alone. The incursion set off alarms, with the Taiwanese military responding by launching aircraft and activating its air defence missile system. Taiwan also broadcast radio warnings to the Chinese aircraft, amid growing fears of an imminent invasion from Beijing.

Following the encounter, Taiwan called the incursion from the People’s Liberation Army’s (PLA) air force “unnecessary” and “thoughtless”.

According to the Taiwan ministry of national defense (MND), a PLA Shaanxi Y-8 electronic warfare plane flew into the southwest corner of Taiwan’s ADIZ on Thursday.

In recent months, Beijing has regularly sent planes into Taiwan’s ADIZ, amid growing tensions with the self-ruled island.

Beijing claims full sovereignty over Taiwan, even though the two sides have been governed separately for more than 70 years.

China has warned that the island is an “inalienable part” of the country and seeking independence would result in full-scale war.

The Chinese Communist Party has vowed to take Taiwan back by force if necessary.

As recent as June, Chinese leader Xi Jinping pledged to complete reunification with self-ruled Taiwan.

However, the administration in Taipei has maintained that it remains an independent nation.

Taiwan has sought increasingly closer ties with the US, including large-scale arms deals.

A senior US official has warned that any Chinese invasion of Taiwan would be “catastrophic”.

Kurt Campbell, the coordinator for Indo-Pacific affairs on the US national security council, said the US had tried to send a “clear message of deterrence across the Taiwan Strait” .

Elsewhere, more than four in ten Australians are concerned about an imminent Chinese invasion of their own country.

The Australia Institute think tank said the polling suggested the level of fear among Australians was the same as the fear among the Taiwanese.

War fears EXPLODE as China invasion of Taiwan may ‘threaten survival of Japan’

Taro Aso, Japan’s deputy prime minister, has said that the US and Japan would have to band together to shield Taiwan in an event of conflict, according to Kyodo News. Japan’s leading news agency reported that Taro Aso said a conflict over Taiwan could be devastating for Japan.

“If a major problem took place in Taiwan, it would not be too much to say that it could relate to a survival-threatening situation (for Japan),” he said.

“We are closely monitoring the situation.”

Tensions have been rising between China and Taiwan as Beijing has suggested the possibility of invading their island neighbour.

On Tuesday, Zhao Lijan, a spokesperson from China’s foreign ministry, warned “no one should underestimate the Chinese people’s staunch resolve, firm will, and formidable ability to defend national sovereignty.”

Last week, Nobuo Kishi, Japan’s Defence Minister, announced that the security of Taiwan is directly linked to Japan and stressed the importance of a Japanese intervention.

“The peace and stability of Taiwan are directly connected to Japan and we are closely monitoring ties between China and Taiwan, as well as Chinese military activity,” he told Bloomberg.

“As China strengthens its military, its balance with Taiwan is tipping heavily to the Chinese side.”

This follows reports the US and Japan have been uniting forces and preparing for a conflict with China, conducting joint military exercises and war games.

Serious preparations for a conflict with China began in the last year of Donald Trump’s administration.

The reunification of Taiwan has been in the works for a long time and Kevin Rudd, former Australian prime minister, is concerned about the global implications.

“I think what we’ll then be moving into is a period which China will be looking at its options to leverage Taiwan back into a form of a political union with China by the time we get to the late 2020s and into the 2030s,” Rudd told CNBC.

“And that’s when I believe it does get dangerous for us all.”

Japan’s deputy prime minister also shared his concerns that China could shift its interests to other islands as well.

“We need to think hard that Okinawa could be the next,” he said, talking about a Japanese prefecture where China claims a number of small uninhabited islands including the Senkaku island.

'Prepare for war!' Chilling Chinese propaganda circulating on Weibo hints at invasion plot

Propaganda is circulating on Chinese social media platforms Weibo and WeChat. It is reinforced by articles addressed to ‘splittists’ – a term believed to refer to those in favour of separating areas the Asian superpower asserts authority over.

The messages serve as a hair-raising insight into Beijing’s well-known stance on Taiwan, over which it claims sovereignty.

These were published the information arm of the People’s Liberation Army’s (PLA) 80th Group Army.

A propaganda poster – depicting military rockets being fired beside the words “prepare for war” – has been produced by the Political Work Department.

The content was shared on Wednesday, June 9.

According to the articles, troops in the 80th Group Army, which is deployed in China’s Shandong province, vowed to “obey all commands” and “fear no challenges.”

The soldiers also promised to “fight for dignity without fear of death,” according to the campaign material.

The propaganda drive also included a music video featuring videos of tanks, soldiers and rocket explosions.

The video was titled “Want to be a splittist? Listen here!”.

Join the Cosmic War in Fortnite Chapter 2 – Season 7: Invasion

Fortnite fans,

Congratulations, you have survived the Primal Era! The Primal forces that took control of the Island have faded away. Sadly there’s no time to celebrate. A new threat has already arrived…This time from above.

Aliens have infiltrated the Island in the new Fortnite Chapter 2 – Season 7: Invasion! We do not know what they want with us, but we are not going to sit around and wait to find out. Get ready to fight it out in a cosmic war! Below is everything you need to know before taking on our new extraterrestrial foes

IO Innovations

With the arrival of the Alien army, Doctor Slone has emerged from her lab and is leading the resistance with her the self-proclaimed defenders of the Island, the Imagined Order (better known as the IO).

The IO has clearly been preparing for this day, as it has already developed  advanced technology to help take on the invasion. Stay aware of your surroundings with the Recon Scanner, blast through your opponents when wielding the Pulse Rifle, and shoot through surfaces with the imposing Rail Gun. Even more IO innovations will be revealed as the Season progresses.

Alien Artillery

To no one’s surprise, the Aliens are also well prepared for war. But do not panic! If you can manage to get a hold of their technology, you can use it against your opponents! Try to get your hands on the Kymera Ray Gun: a powerful weapon that shoots a continuous beam of molten destruction. IO researchers believe that the Aliens are developing even more technology. While we do not have all the intel yet, it is believed that the Aliens have a weapon capable of moving even the heaviest of objects with ease. There are also reports of an Alien device capable of disguising its user.

Kymera Ray Gun

Eyes in the Sky! Capture a Flying Saucer

Throughout the map you will see many flying Saucers cruising around in the sky. Try to shoot down those menacing Saucers or better yet, hijack them for yourself! Flying Saucers will allow you to zoom around the Island with your squad, fire at your foes from above, and abduct anything that isn’t bolted down to the ground.

It has been discovered that the Nuts and Bolts that drop from the Saucers are great for crafting powerful weapons. Use Nuts and Bolts to turn an Assault Rifle into a Burst Assault Rifle, an SMG into a Rapid Fire SMG, or a Shotgun into a Lever Action Shotgun. Nuts and Bolts are the key to unlocking these once vaulted weapons!

Your Battle Pass, Your Way!

This Season’s Battle Pass may feel a bit… alien to you, as unlocking cosmetics earned through the Battle Pass will function differently from past Seasons. With the new Battle Pass, cosmetic rewards are no longer tied to specific Season levels. Instead, you’ll earn Battle Stars when you level up. Battle Stars can be exchanged for Battle Pass rewards in the order that you decide. The more Levels and rewards you earn, the more pages of rewards will become available to you. Most pages feature a special reward, becoming available to claim once all other rewards on the page are claimed.

Build Your Own Alien!

Maybe to understand the Aliens, one must become an Alien? As soon as you acquire this Season’s Battle pass, you will be rewarded with the Kymera Outfit. Kymera is an alien that you can customize yourself! In order to gain different styles for your Kymera, you will need to collect Alien Artifacts. Alien Artifacts can be found in locations on the Island that have been impacted by the invasion. Like Battle Stars, Alien Artifacts can be exchanged for more options to customize your Kymera. Be sure to try out different looks, as there are over 800,000 different combinations of head shapes, eye colors, skin patterns, and more to experiment with!

The rest of Chapter 2 Seasons 7’s Battle Pass features characters that have experience with the extraterrestrial or are extraordinary in other ways.

  • Sunny: Alien sympathizer and Punk rock enthusiast
  • Guggimon: Synthetic artist who thrives in the chaos

Fortnite Season 7 Battle Pass rewards revealed with Invasion trailer: Superman headlines

The Fortnite Season 7 Battle Pass rewards have been unveiled by Epic Games.

As you can see from the image above, the new Fortnite season is titled Invasion.

Needless to say, it has an alien theme, as beings from another planet attempt to take over the island.

As part of the Battle Pass, fans will be able to unlock Superman, Rick of Rick and Morty fame, and a customisable alien trooper.

But Doctor Slone appears to be the star of the show, and can be found in the centre of the map.

Fortnite developer Epic Games has also released a Battle Pass trailer, highlighting some of the new skins fans can unlock throughout the season.

The new trailer – which you can see below – also showcases some of the new weapons, including an energy ray that can move items.

This can be used to create carnage, as players throw cars at rivals and explosives.

Judging by the leaks, users will be able to unlock certain variants of some of the skins, including a new look for Superman.

According to dataminers, this includes a black Superman skin that will presumable be available once fans reach a high enough level.

Speaking of Superman, the official Battle Pass artwork suggests this particular skin will launch later in the season.

The Battle Pass purchase screen shows Superman next to a Coming Soon banner.

It’s likely Superman will take the place of Neymar, who launched midway through Season 6.

Elsewhere, it has been revealed that Kymera is the name of the customisable alien character joining Season 7.

As for Season 7 itself, new map points of interest include Believer Beach, as well as Corny Complex.

Eagle-eyed fans will notice that The Spire has disappeared from the map, which ties into the story.

Other new features include UFOs, which can be accessed to speed around the map and out of danger.

The new Fortnite Season 7 update weighs in at around 5GB on all platforms, so it shouldn’t take too long to download.

China menace: Risks at ‘all-time high’ with Taiwan invasion ‘only a matter time’- expert

Taiwan: Foreign Minister warns of ‘military assault’ from China

The document was published on Wednesday by the China Cross-Strait Academy, a Hong Kong-based think tank led by Lei Xiying, a committee member of the Communist Party-backed All-China Youth Federation. Using several factors including military strength, trade relations, public opinion, political events and support from allies, its stark conclusion is that the two sides are “on the brink of war”, with the risk put at 7.21 for 2021, on a scale of minus 10 to 10.

Using the same criteria, researchers concluded that in the 1950s, when the anti-communist nationalist forces fled from the mainland to Taiwan, the index was lower, at 6.7.

The figure fell in the 1990s, but began increasing after the turn of the Millennium, when the Democratic Progressive Party took power, replacing the Beijing-friendly Kuomintang, which had ruled for 55 years.

Lei characterised the shift in relations between Taiwan and Beijing, and Washington’s increasing engagement with the autonomous island, which China nevertheless regards as part of its territory, as “destructive factors” increasing the risk of conflict.

He warned: “If the current trend continues Beijing’s unification of Taiwan by force will only be a matter of time.

Speaking to the South China Morning Post, Lim John Chuan-tiong, a former researcher at Taiwan’s Academia Sinica, stopped short of describing tensions as being worse than in the 1950s.

However, he added: “But considering the explosive situation now, huge uncertainties and the stakes involved if anyone makes a wrong judgment or a wrong move, it is not wrong to say that the risk level across the Taiwan Strait is at an unprecedented high level.

“Beijing used to believe that as long as Sino-US relations are under control, Taiwan will not be a problem.

“But Sino-US relations took a nosedive under Trump and there are no signs of improvement now with the Joe Biden administration, which is relying more on allies like Taiwan to contain China.”

In a clear illustration of the ongoing tensions in the region, on Wednesday China accused the United States of threatening the peace and stability of the Taiwan Strait after a US warship again sailed through the sensitive waterway which separates Taiwan from its giant neighbour.

The US Navy’s 7th Fleet said the Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer USS Curtis Wilbur conducted a “routine Taiwan Strait transit” on Tuesday in accordance with international law.

A spokesman insisted: “The ship’s transit through the Taiwan Strait demonstrates the US commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific.

“The United States military will continue to fly, sail, and operate anywhere international law allows.”

However, a spokesman for China’s Eastern Theatre Command said: “The US actions sends the wrong signals to Taiwan independence forces, deliberately disrupting the regional situation and endangering peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait.”

Chinese forces had tracked and monitored the ship throughout its voyage, he added.

China believes Taiwan’s democratically elected government is pushing for a formal declaration of independence for the island, a red line for Beijing which experts predict would trigger a full-scale invasion.

Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen says they are already an independent state called the Republic of China, its formal name.

Taiwan’s Defence Ministry said the U.S. ship had sailed in a southerly direction through the strait and the “situation was as normal”.

The US Navy has been conducting such operations every month or so.

The United States, like most countries, has no formal diplomatic ties with Taiwan but is its most important international backer and a major seller of arms.

Military tension between Taiwan and Beijing have spiked over the past year, with Taipei complaining of China repeatedly sending its air force into Taiwan’s air defence zone.
