Jennifer Saunders, 62, is the latest celebrity to lash out at this modern-day society who are “offended by everything”, while admitting she wouldn’t get away with her sitcom Absolutely Fabulous alongside Joanna Lumley, in the “woke era” of sensitivity. The actress insisted “it’s not a crime” to have an opinion, sarcastically quipping that she still “remembers jokes” and that the “woke brigade” has ruined comedy.
In a new interview, she addressed the joyless “small-mindedness” which would face the iconic BBC show today.
“What p*****s me off? Quite a lot of stuff actually,” she laughed.
“I get p*****d off by people and gentle criticism all the time.
“This is a modern thing, isn’t it? If someone says something it always has to be, ‘Oh, but sorry, you can’t say that’. I say, ‘Oh f**k off.'”
Jennifer Aniston has treated her legion fans to unseen snaps of the Friends reunion – but not everyone was happy to see them.

The star reflected on taking part in the one-off episode with co-stars Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, Matt Le Blanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer, The Mirror reports.

However, some fans thought he had no right to be there.
“Why is Bieber there? Lmao,”(sic) one person questioned.
Another queried: “I still don’t understand why Justin Bieber was there?”
“No reason for Hailey and Justin Bieber to be there,” a third quipped.
Others were quick to point out that the Canadian-born singer is a fan of the show Friends.
One fan shared: “Because he adores Friends! Him and Hailey watch it every single day. Justin has suffered with anxiety a lot and he has said that watching Friends has helped him a lot in those moments.
“He has loved the show for years and during the first year of his career he used the name Chandler Bing when booking hotel rooms.”
Also in the collection was an offering of Jen smiling alongside television director and producer James Burrows and the final picture was a cartoon sketch of the Friends cast from The New Yorker magazine.
Next to the post, Jennifer shared how she was feeling after the reunion show aired.
“Still basking in all the love from the #FriendsReunion. Thank you each and every one of you,” she penned.
The age-defying star added: “Swipe for… The bazillionth selfie taken with the five of us… When two TOTALLY different worlds collide – @_schwim_ ’s face says it all …The legend himself, our director of the first season, Papa James Burrows.”
The comments section was flooded with kind words from social media users who were happy to see captures.
Others wanting the actress to share more snaps wrote: “show us other bazillion selfies, trust me we won’t get tired” and “Feel free to post more selfies mama.”

James was lucky enough to quiz the group of six about how their lives changed due to the success of Friends and also asked if there had been any off-screen romances.
Taking to Twitter, many people slammed James’ hosting abilities with one person writing: “I came here to watch Friends.. Not James Corden and Friends.. #FriendsReunion.”
A second posted: “Sitting down to watch the friends reunion. If there was any way to make me uninterested in watching it’s adding James Corden as the host…. dear god why.”
And a fourth tweeted: “Was getting a bit emotional and nostalgic watching the beginning of the #FriendsReunion and then bloody James Corden appeared and killed the joy.”
However, many others tuning in were absolutely loving it, with one saying: “I think that is the best thing I have watched #FriendsReunion.”

Before we determine the legitimacy of the underlying assertion — whether “Bennifer” was again a Hollywood couple, as of this writing — let us provide some context regarding the celebrities’ history.
Affleck and Lopez first met in late 2001 while filming the romantic comedy “Gigli.” Shortly later, they confirmed there was off-screen chemistry between them, too, and stories about the A-list power couple — dubbed “Bennifer” — dominated celebrity tabloids.
Then, in late 2002, Lopez revealed during an interview with journalist Diane Sawyer that they were engaged to be married. The pair scheduled their wedding for the following year but ultimately called off the ceremony, citing paparazzi and reporters’ obsession with documenting the event.
“When we found ourselves seriously contemplating hiring three separate ‘decoy brides’ at three different locations, we realized that something was awry,” the couple said in a statement to media at the time.
They split ways a few months later. Years later, while reflecting on their early-aughts romance, Lopez told PEOPLE magazine:
“I felt like … ‘Okay, this is it,’” she said. “[But] sometimes I feel like what you think people are and how you see them when you love them is different than when they reveal later. […] I think different time different thing, who knows what could’ve happened, but there was a genuine love there.”
‘Bennifer’ In 2021?
Next, we first considered why, and under what circumstances, celebrity tabloids alleged the start of a renewed connection between Lopez and Affleck in spring 2021.
Citing anonymous sources, TMZ reported that Affleck emailed Lopez — telling her “how beautiful she looked” — in February while she was filming the upcoming romantic comedy “Shotgun Wedding” in the Dominican Republic. Apart from the TMZ article (which published on May 11), no evidence substantiated that allegation.
Then, in late April, the two were photographed hanging out together in Los Angeles. Page Six reported Affleck visited J.Lo’s home multiple times after she returned from the Dominican Republican, and an identified source supposedly told the outlet “security picks him up at a nearby location and drops him off after spending a few hours at her house.” Page Six captured a series of photographs allegedly showing Lopez’s white SUV escalade giving Affleck rides.
After that, the pair were spotted in Montana. The Daily Mail published photos supposedly showing them driving home after a private flight from Big Sky, where Affleck owns property. An anonymous source told PEOPLE:
“[Jennifer] spent several days with Ben out of town. They have a strong connection. It’s all been quick and intense, but Jennifer is happy.”
E! News also reported on May 10, citing an anonymous source close to Lopez: “Ben reached out to her to see how she was doing and they had dinner together a few times within this last month. It’s natural between them and the chemistry is unreal. They picked up where they last left off and are enjoying each other’s company right now.”
Snopes reached out to publicists representing both Lopez and Affleck to confirm whether they were dating. We have not received any responses, but we will update this report when, or if, that changes.
We considered other evidence — including video footage of Rodriguez, Lopez’s ex-fiance and retired MLB star, and Matt Damon, one of Affleck’s closest friends — regarding the rumors to see if it substantiated the claim. For example, Damon said he first heard of the possible romance minutes before TODAY show hosts Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb asked him about it.
“It’s a fascinating story. I hope it’s true. I love them both. I hope it’s true. That would be awesome,” he told them.
In sum, while photographs indeed depicted Affleck and Lopez hanging out together — including an image that showed them sharing a vehicle together — in spring 2021, there was no proof or on-the-record source confirming a romantic relationship between them. Rather, a relatively equal amount of evidence suggested they were spending time together platonically or to attract attention from celebrity tabloids to purposefully create a media narrative.
On a podcast episode discussing the possible resurgence of “Bennifer,” Julie Kramer, co-founder of Comments by Celebs, said: “No matter what way you shape this — and no matter what way you’re looking at it — it still has an element of PR to it, even if you think it’s genuine.”

Jennifer Lawrence and her husband Cooke Maroney were seen hurrying to a restaurant for dinner reservations in New York City.
Jennifer Lawrence, 30, and Cooke Maroney, 35, resurfaced in the Big Apple on Apr. 17 after not being seen together for six months. The husband and wife were walking side by side while wearing warm clothing as they hurried along to a restaurant for dinner reservations. The actress wore a long brown and white patterned Prada coat with a paisley scarf and dark blue pants during the stroll while the art gallerist wore a dark blue button-down long-sleeved shirt and jeans. Check out the pics HERE!
They also both wore black face masks and Jennifer carried a black leather hobo style handbag. Cooke added blue and white sneakers to his look and his lady love wore black boots. After walking for a bit, they eventually reached their destination and enjoyed a dinner together.
At one point during their stroll, Cooke appeared to comfort Jennifer by putting his arm on her shoulder as they seemed to have a discussion. Neither one of them paid much attention to the photographers around them and focused only on each other and their close surroundings.
Before their latest outing, Jennifer and Cooke were seen together in Oct. just ahead of their first wedding anniversary. They were married at the Belcourt of Newport in Rhode Island in front of a star-studded crowd of guests. Celebs like Adele, Cameron Diaz, and Emma Stone all attended the romantic event, which took place in 2019.
The lovebirds first started dating after being introduced by mutual friends in 2018. Jennifer was then spotted wearing an engagement ring in 2019 and spoke out about her plans to marry Cooke in an interview with Entertainment Tonight shortly after. “Well, he’s just the best person I’ve ever met in my whole life. It was a very, very easy decision,” she told the outlet about the proposal.
“How do I feel? Is he nice? Is he kind? It’s just — this is the one, I know that sounds really stupid but he’s just, he’s — you know,” she continued. “He’s the greatest person I’ve ever met, so I feel very honored to become a Maroney.”
“We have realized we are better as friends and look forward to remaining so,” ‘J-Rod’ said in the statement. “We will continue to work together and support each other on our shared businesses and projects. We wish the best for each other and one another’s children. Out of respect for them, the only other comment we have to say is thank you to everyone who has sent kind words and support.”
J.Lo and A-Rod have split up after four years of dating, according to multiple reports Friday.
WASHINGTON — Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have reportedly broken up, calling off their two-year engagement, sources tell multiple media outlets.
Page Six was first to report Friday afternoon that “J-Rod” was no more. Multiple sources connected to the couple later confirmed to TMZ, E! News and Entertainment Tonight that J.Lo and A-Rod had broken up.
The powerhouse couple has been engaged since March 2019 and had planned to get married in June 2020, before having to postpone the wedding due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Sources told Entertainment Tonight and other outlets on Thursday that the couple was “still planning on getting married,” so it’s unclear what changed.
A source told Page Six the couple split because of allegations involving Rodriguez and “Southern Charm” star Madison LeCroy. Entertainment Tonight reported Friday that a source said “Jennifer felt like moving forward to marriage wasn’t right” after Rodriguez’s “character” had been called into question.
On Friday, Rodriguez, 45, posted a photo on Instagram of himself alone on a boat in Miami, starting at his cellphone. The caption read: “Don’t mind me, just taking a sail-fie. What are your plans for the weekend.”
Meanwhile, on Thursday night Lopez, 51, posted a series of clips featuring her laughing in past TV appearances.
