‘Ghost’ of angry, murdered man ‘follows’ woman home from work before ‘assaulting’ her

woman home from work before assaultingLeah Lewis claims to have suffered months of spiritual activity in the home she shares with her mother, resulting in her having unexplained scratches on her thigh. Her experience forced to call in the help of a psychic medium to cleanse her haunted house and help the apparition “pass to the other side”.

As reported by Staffordshire Live, Ms Lewis believes the ghost “followed” her home from her work at a shop that he had been haunting – something which the 21-year-old is sure of as she had “seen” it lurking behind her.

Staff at the shop had speculated that the ghost was a murdered man from the area, describing him as “aggressive and angry”.

The supernatural troubles started at the family’s home in Staffordshire just a few weeks after Ms Lewis’ grandfather passed away.

Her mother, Colette, said: “Leah started saying that she could see and hear things which none of us could. I remember this one evening driving to my mum’s. She asked me if I saw the little girl stood on the roadside and I was blown away as I couldn’t see anyone in sight.

“Fast forward a few months and her ability has only got stronger. She’d come home from work and tells me about the activity she’d experience while being there. Little did we know she would end up having ‘the man upstairs’ as she referred to him, follow her home and become our worst nightmare.”

On one occasion, Ms Lewis could feel a man slowly breathing down her neck – later finding scratched on her thigh after getting out of the shower.

She said: “I didn’t feel anything at all [in the shower] until I saw the scratches when I was drying myself.

“I told my mum and she said I think we need to contact Ian Griffiths [the psychic medium] now. We had been putting it off for a while but now I had been physically assaulted.”

Later that night, she went into her mother’s room to ask what she was doing as she could her something rummaging around in the wardrobe – but was stunned to discover her mum in bed nowhere near the closet.

Ms Lewis’ mum said: “With her now being physically harmed, I thought enough is enough and I needed to do something about it. I asked around my friends and they asked their friends and I got quite a few recommendations for Ian Griffiths and I reached out to him giving him a small description of what had been going on and right from the get go, he was amazing.”

According to Ms Lewis, the help of the psychic medium was invaluable in ending the supernatural “activity” she was experiencing.

She said: “He confirmed everything we had experienced and then he ‘passed the man over to the other side’ from his house.

“One day at around 6.40pm I was leaving my house to go to the shop and suddenly I felt really angry and felt I needed to get out. Ian later said this was around the same time the man passed over.”

Mr Griffiths explained that as soon as he heard from Ms Lewis’ mum he pictured the man as slim and tall, wandering around the house – and he had never been there before.

He said: “I told her what I was picking up and she says that’s what’s been happening and what we have seen wandering around the house. The male spirit didn’t seem positive. I got a more negative feeling from him.

“Over the years of mediumship I have learnt how to remove spirits. It is years of learning and experience removing good and negative spirits. Some negative ones can be very challenging at time. Some can mark you as it did with Leah or make you feel ill and put unwanted emotions on people.

“I’ve been affected by some negative ones, pushed, marked and even nasty comments close to my ear or face but in the end it comes down to learning about how to deal with each negative spirit that I’ve come across over the years. Once I’ve removed the spirit I start blessing the person that has been affected and blessing the home. In each room I say prayers. It may take a bit of time going around the home.

“Some places may have portals where spirits can and go through like a door way. This home had two portals where spirits can come and go. I sealed them up so nothing else comes in to the home. Each time someone texts about spirit in the home you never know what you’re going to come across or what challenge you face. Sometimes it can take over you life. I love the work of mediumship and paranormal investigating.”

Coronation Street bosses ask murdered teen's mum to help storyline

Author: [email protected] (Mark Jefferies, Lucy Marshall)
This post originally appeared on Hull Live – Celebs & TV

The mum of murdered Sophie Lancaster who was stamped to death by thugs ‘for being a goth’ has been asked by Coronation Street bosses to help out with a new hard-hitting storyline.

Sylvia Lancaster OBE who tragically lost her daughter in 2007 has been working behind the scenes with 23-year-old actress Mollie Gallagher.

The shocking story surrounds characters Nina Lucas and boyfriend Seb Franklin clash with Corey Brent and his gang.

Sylvia, 65, has used her knowledge of subcultures to ensure the goth cafe assistant was a realistic portrayal in the build-up to the tragic scenes next month.

The episode will echo the sickening attack that left Sylvia’s daughter Sophie dead, the Mirror reports.

But this isn’t necessary a spoiler as insiders insist it is still not clear if Nina will be killed off on the soap.

Mum Sylvia set up the Sophie Lancaster Foundation in her daughter’s memory to focus on creating respect for, and understanding of, subcultures in our communities.

When the storyline was first discussed, producers and the research team approached Sylvia who was delighted to be able to work with them to help highlight the issue.

Sylvia said: “I know first-hand the abuse, harassment and violence that alternative people suffer.

“Hate crime is usually directed at already stigmatised and minority groups and Sophie was assaulted three times before that final, sustained and brutal attack that took her life – but she never reported the earlier assaults.

She added: “Coronation Street covering this issue means such a huge amount to me.

Nina Lucas, played by Mollie Gallagher, is the character inspired by Sophie’s story

“We want alternative people to know that they shouldn’t be putting up with this prejudice and intolerance, and they should report it.

“We want the wider community to really appreciate the horror of this violence and understand that difference in itself, is not frightening, it just makes us all who we are.

“We will also use this platform to continue raising awareness of Sophie’s case with the police and judiciary to make sure that hate crime against alternative people is recognised and treated with the degree of severity that it deserves.”

In scenes which will air next month, Seb and Nina will be subjected to a violent assault which has similarities to what happened to Sophie Lancaster in 2007, when she and her boyfriend Robert Maltby were set upon and beaten in a park simply because of the way they looked.

Nina and Seb have fallen head over heels in love in recent weeks, but her Victorian Goth identity has resulted in some prejudiced reactions, not least from Corey Brent (played by Maximus Evans), the boyfriend of Nina’s best pal Asha, who has long made his intolerance towards Nina known.

In the dramatic episodes to be screened in early May the couple are out walking when Corey and a gang of drunken mates including Kelly Neelan, corner and goad the pair.

As Corey starts hurling abuse, Kelly finds herself egged on by the crowd and slaps Nina.

Seb and Nina hurry away as the gang gives chase and they find themselves subject to an unprovoked attack.

Back on the Street, Abi Franklin and Kevin Webster’s hen and stag night parties are brought to an abrupt halt when the police arrive with news of the attack.

The police then start an investigation to get to the bottom of which of the teenage gang was responsible for the vicious assault that has left the young couple with horrific injuries.

On the importance of tackling this storyline, Coronation Street Producer Iain MacLeod said: “The issue of intolerance and hatred towards people from different cultures and subcultures is arguably more relevant now than it’s ever been.”

Phillip Adams: 5 Things To Know About Former NFL Player Who Murdered 5 People Before Killing Himself

Phillip Adams, a retired NFL player, is suspected of fatally shooting five people (including two children) before dying by suicide. ‘Nothing’ makes ‘sense’ to both authorities and friends.

Retired NFL player Phillip Adams is suspected of fatally shooting five people — one of them being the well-known Dr. Robert Lesslie — according to his father, Alonzo Adams, and local authorities. The shooting took place inside Lesslie’s home in York County, South Carolina on April 7; Lesslie’s wife Barbara, 69, their grandchildren Adah, 9, and Noah, 5, and someone named James Lewis, 38 (who was working inside the home) also died amid the shooting. A sixth person — Robert Shook, 38 — survived the shooting[1] and is now “fighting hard for his life,” the victim’s cousin reported, per ESPN. After the tragedy, Adams fled to the home of his parents — who were evacuated — where he eventually died by suicide from a self-inflected gun wound in the early morning of Thursday, April 8, according the outlet.

“There’s nothing right now that makes sense to any of us,” York County Sheriff Kevin Tolson said at a news conference on April 8, per ESPN. Investigators are still looking for a motive in this mass shooting[2]. Adams’ relationship to the Lesslie family is also not known at the time; the sheriff clarified that there was no “doctor-patient relationship” between Adams and Dr. Lesslie, a longtime emergency room doctor and the founder of Riverview Hospice and Palliative Care. Adams’ father, however, suggested what may have led up to this horrific point; you can find out what that is, and learn more about the former professional football player who took his own life, below.

Phillip Adams’ Father Believes Football ‘Messed’ Up His Son

“I can say he’s a good kid,” Adams’ father, Alonzo Adams, told a WCNC[3] reporter after the shooting. He added, “I think the football messed him up…We pray for the family. I know they were good folks.” While officials didn’t report about any known medical conditions, the younger Adams did reportedly suffer two concussions amid his earlier days in professional football, according to WCNC. However, he wasn’t eligible for testing because “of a broad settlement between the league and its former players over such injuries” since Adams didn’t retire by 2014, according to ESPN.

However, Adams’ agent Scott Casterline said that the football player “had an injury’ in his rookie year of professional football. “Some teams wrote him off and he had that stigma of a guy who was hurt. It was hard for him to walk away from the game, especially a guy as dedicated as he was,” the sports agent told AP News[4]. “We encouraged him to explore all of his disability options and he wouldn’t do it. I knew he was hurting and missing football but he wouldn’t take health tips offered to him. He said he would but he wouldn’t. I felt he was lost without football, somewhat depressed.”

Phillip Adams Played For Multiple NFL Teams

Phillip was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in 2010. He then went on to play[5] for the New England Patriots, Seattle Seahawks, Oakland Raiders, New York Jets and Atlanta Falcons (in that order). Adams played his last NFL game with the Falcons in 2015, but he did train with the Kansas City Chiefs amid a visit in April of 2016. He played in 78 NFL games total. Before going pro, he played football for South Carolina State.

After Football, Phillip Adams Went On To Open A Food Business

Right before the COVID-19 pandemic[6] began in 2020, the retired football player opened a shop that sold smoothies and juices.

Phillip Adams’ Football Family Is Bewildered Over The Shooting

“He was part of my family. I loved him. He’s a great kid, a great guy. This is so unlike him. He had to not be in his right mind, obviously,” Adams’ agent Scott Casterline told AP News. The agent later added, “Seeing Philip shoot two kids, it’s not him. I can’t fathom it. It’s devastating for the victims and the families.”

Kevin Smith, who was a cornerback for the Dallas Cowboys and trained Adams both before he entered the 2010 draft and after, was just as shocked. “He didn’t drink not one bit of alcohol. He was a bit of a neat freak. In his house, everything was precisely placed,” the former NFL player told AP News as well.

Phillip Adams Was A ‘Good Father,’ His Agent Said

Phillip Adams was staying in South Carolina because he had a son, according to his agent. “All of us who knew Philip are shaking our heads. He struggled away from the game. I tried to get him to come to Texas. I was going to find him a job, but he wouldn’t leave South Carolina because he had a son. He was a good father,” Scott told AP News.
