War fears as US nuke bombers and NATO jets send stark warning to Russia –‘Air superiority’

According to CNN’s International Diplomatic Editor Nic Robertson, Operation Allied Sky aimed to show NATO’s “credibility of common defence” and “enhanced readiness”. It comes two weeks ahead of US President Joe Biden’s planned summit with Russia’s leader Vladimir Putin.

The NATO jets and US nuke bombers flew over NATO’s 30 member states to showcase their “air superiority”, according to The Sun.

Video footage shows a US Air Force B-52 Stratofortress refuelling near Scotland on a flight from Spain before returning to the operation.

The footage depicts an RAF Typhoon jetting up into the sky over the UK to escort the US aircraft.

According to Airforce Technology, Jeff Harrigian, NATO Allied Air Command and USAFE-AFAFRICA commander general, said: “Bomber missions demonstrate the credibility of our forces to address a global security environment that is more diverse and uncertain than at any other time in our history.

“Today’s mission is an awesome demonstration of NATO air superiority and together there is no challenge we cannot tackle.”

The countries which took part in the operation were Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Spain, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Turkey, Romania, and the UK.

In another show of strength to Russia, last Friday British forces led a series of missions with the HMS Queen Elizabeth ahead of its trip to the Black Sea.

The huge aircraft carrier was accompanied in Portugal by 19 NATO warships from the US and eight other allied nations as part of operation Steadfast Defender.

The mission included submarines, destroyers and frigates – and was joined with support from the RAF’s new F-35B Lightning stealth fighters.

The exercise is expected to last until June 22.

Commander of the UK Carrier Strike Group, Commodore Steve Moorhouse, called the mission “a hugely powerful statement”.

Earlier this week, Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab called on NATO to work together to tackle the threat of “hostile states like Russia”.

The first meeting of NATO leaders since 2019 will take place later this month.

Call of Duty Warzone server queue update as live Nuke Event extends to Rebirth Island

This post originally appeared on Daily Express :: Entertainment Feed

UPDATE: Today’s Warzone server queue issues are expected to continue on and off following developers Raven Software releasing a new patch to help with issues.

According to the latest COD news, The Destruction of Verdansk Playlist will continue until 11pm BST, while the new Rebirth Island experience will be available until the next Warzone update is released.

This is scheduled to happen at 5am BST, on Thursday, April 22. The event list now reads:

  • 2P PT: Seek safety from Verdansk on Rebirth Island
  • 9P PT: Update your comms (console) and investigate Rebirth Island
  • 12:00P (4.22) PT: Return tomorrow to Rebirth for updated instructions

ORIGINAL: The good news is that while Warzone server queues are back, gamers are reporting getting through them pretty quickly.

And for those who have been receiving server errors, the current advice is to back out and start again.

As ever, these issues could continue for some time as everyone tries to access Warzone servers.

This is part of the new Nuke Event, which is now live in-game and available across all platforms. However, some gamers are also reporting problems staying in the event, which starts with dropping and finding a Juggernaut suit.

A message from Activision adds: “Operators, The above quote should ring true for us today, as in less than an hour, you will be launching the most massive coordinated effort that Operation Rapid Sunder has ever seen.

“Over the past year of our Operation, we had our differences and disputes. Over the past year of our Operation, we made errors and even lost some objectives. Indeed, over the past year of our Operation, there were even some “friendly fire” incidents.

“But this is the same task force that infiltrated Verdansk day in and day out, whether it be on the brightest days or the cover of night. This is the same task force that swayed the mercenary Shadow Company from our enemies to our fellow Operators. This is the same task force that overcame the nightmares of October 2020.

“And this is the task force that saved the world from evil once before. It’s time to do it again.

“To the Operators active in Verdansk, we must honor the spirits of our fallen squadmates and bring them justice, no matter what host these parasites have taken over.”

Call of Duty Warzone Event: When is the Warzone Nuke event, will it be live in-game?

The next big Call of Duty Warzone event is on the horizon and it looks set to have massive implications.

A new version of Verdansk is expected to be launched next week, complete with revamped locations for Season 3.

This will help Warzone fit better with Black Ops Cold War, a game that it has now fully integrated with.

And to kick off these big changes will be the Call of Duty Warzone Nuke Event, a long-rumoured part of the Battle Royale experience.

We might not have all the details yet but it appears we now know when the Warzone event will be happening across PS4, Xbox One and PC.

According to a series of new teasers released this week by Activision, the Call of Duty Warzone Nuke Event will be happening on Wednesday, April 21, 2021.

This would fit into the latest reports that Cold War Season 3 is scheduled to begin on April 22, providing enough time for a big show to be put on by Activision.

There were rumours that a limited-time mode would also be featured, focusing on Zombies taking over Verdansk.

However, since this information was first leaked, no such event has been announced by the development team.

And being so close to the end of Season 2, we would’ve expected something to have happened by now unless it’s part of some kind of new live event.

When it comes to timing, the Call of Duty Warzone Nuke event is expected to kick off at around 8pm BST, on April 21.

The most recent reports suggest that the nuclear weapons found across the Verdansk map will be fired into the sky, dropping down onto the map and destroying it.

There have also been a few hints that the event will include some kind of connection to the Dam.

This could be the viewing point Activision has chosen for players to watch the event, however, there are still a few questions regarding that.

Earlier live events have seen Activision release a special playlist which players then access to complete a series of challenges and then watch a trailer.

The same could be used for the Warzone event, providing a way for Activision to offer a live in-game experience.

But with the hints now starting to roll in, it seems likely that we will learn more about what’s going to happen next very soon.

There has been no word on when to expect the big update needed to make such an event possible, including details on Season 3.

The new season of Cold War is expected to boast a Battle Pass, complete with 100 tiers of cosmetic items and COD points to unlock.

The timing suggests that Activision will have enough time to release a new COD patch early next week, and that will mean a preload being available on PS4 consoles beforehand.

The same option is not offered on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Battle Net or PS5. Based on previous updates, The Warzone Season 3 patch could be very large, possibly weighing in at over 30GB.

Later this week, Activision will be releasing a big XP event to help everyone to complete their existing Battle Passes, with the full announcement explaining:

“There’s a Triple-Double Weekend coming up, starting at 10 AM PT Friday, April 16, and running through 10 AM PT, Monday, April 19. Players will get Double XP, Double Weapon XP, and Double Battle Pass XP in both Black Ops Cold War and Warzone.”

Call of Duty Warzone Event update: When is Warzone nuke event, new map coming out?

A new Call of Duty Warzone Nuke Event is kicking off later this month, with developers Raven Software dropping weekly hints at what is coming next.

The good news is that the nukes will not be flying just yet, as we just got Season 2 Reloaded content.

It doesn’t add a lot of new stuff in Warzone connected to the map, but there is an interesting mix of new streaks to buy from the game’s Silos.

There is also a new Sniper unlocking in the coming weeks, alongside a range of new operators and bundles.

Available now in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone, Wolf join the NATO faction via the Wolf Operator Bundle. The nine-item bundle features tools and accessories alongside the Legendary Wolf.

In addition to unlocking Wolf’s default skin — “Alpha” — you’ll also unlock a new Wrist Accessory, Weapon Charm, Emblem, and Legendary Calling Card.

But while Warzone just got some fresh new content for gamers to enjoy, Thursday is upon us, and we should get another Warzone event teaser.

Recent weeks have seen zombies move around the map and another small change could happen today.

It’s not guaranteed but there is no reason why Activision would slow down on the teasers.

Hopefully, we’ll start getting something a little bigger happening around Verdansk leading into the big Warzone event.

Raven Software are planning to blow up the Call of Duty Warzone map as part of a new Nuke Event, recent reports suggest.

This will happen after a limited-time event featuring zombies taking over Verdansk as part of a spreading Plague.

This will happen during Warzone and Cold War Season 2 but has not been officially announced by Activision.

The new Call of Duty Warzone event is expected to happen close to the end of Season 2, which is scheduled to end during April 2021.

April 22 could be the day of the Nuke Event, however, no firm details have been shared, and gamers can expect plenty of hints to be dropped beforehand.

According to the latest reports, Call of Duty Warzone will get a new map set in the Urals Mountains.

Reported locations include a semi-built stadium, a Soviet Zoo, an aqueduct, and a Mineshaft.

These are the points of interests that have leaked so far, but more are expected to be teased leading up to the event.

Activision has already confirmed that a reckoning is coming to Warzone, with the latest report from the publish adding:

“Following the past month of unusual activity around Southern Verdansk and to reduce further spread of aforementioned phenomena, Armistice is officially instating a Containment Protocol across the entire region of Verdansk.

“As outlined in the Armistice Code of Operations, stage one of this protocol – monitoring and assessing current crises – is in effect. Data indicating the current outbreak spread will be transmitted to secure areas within the region.

“Furthermore, Operators are to assist with containment efforts by neutralizing these threats on sight, in addition to the main objectives of Operation Rapid Sunder.

“Following exfiltration, Operators are to immediately report to Armistice-approved fumigation sites, complete required questioning about potential contacts, and present optional proof of complete hostile eradication for commendations, although this elective step may be performed within Verdansk at the Operator’s own peril.”

More news could be shared later today by Activision, possibly after 6pm GMT on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Warzone Nuke event: When is the Call of Duty Warzone event, is something happening today?

While Activision has not confirmed that a new Warzone Nuke Event is happening, fans certainly believe there is enough evidence to support such a thing happening.

Not only have the silos and destructive weapons been part of the ongoing Warzone storyline since the start, but even more locations have been added during Season 2.

And when you consider the number of high-profile leaks surfacing in recent weeks claiming that such a Call of Duty event is being planned, it all seems to point to a big bang in April.

The big question for many gamers is not what is going to happen, but when is the next Call of Duty Warzone event going to happen.

This is a fair question, especially with the first anniversary of Warzone being celebrated this week.

There has even been some speculation that something explosive could happen today, with the Outbreak event ending at around 6pm GMT.

And while anything is possible, the full Warzone Nuke Event probably won’t be happening today or during March.

Recent rumours suggest that Activision has plans for a special mode and other map locations being overrun by Zombies leading up to weapons dropping on Verdansk.

And from what has been shared so far, it seems more likely that the Call of Duty Warzone Nuke event will happen in April.

It all needs to be taken with a pinch of salt as plans can always change and gamers can always be surprised by something new.

But even if the next Warzone event does not kick off on March 11, after 6pm GMT, today is the day that smaller changes could start occurring.

Activision is a big fan of Easter eggs and throwing out clues to its fanbase, and more of those mini-events could be coming our way.

If developers Raven Software are planning a big event for the end of Season 2, that would give them a good few weeks to get things started.

This could mean Zombies invading new locations, followed by a limited-time Plague event and ending with the destruction of Verdansk.

Much of this remains just a prediction but Warzone could start changing in the coming days and weeks across all platforms.

If anything is being planned for today, March 11, you can expect some teasers to go up this afternoon, perhaps after 6pm GMT.

The current storyline is that Warzone Operators are trying to contain the Zombie outbreak on the shipwreck, fighting back the hordes in-game.

And as shared earlier this week by Activision, another much bigger reckoning is being planned, with a new statement from the publisher teasing:

“And now, during Warzone’s one-year anniversary, we find ourselves in Season Two, where Verdansk is primed for a reckoning.

“A cursed vessel known as the Vodianoy crash-landed and spilled its otherworldly cargo out into the city, with Operators desperately attempting to contain this new threat within the ship’s hull.

“It seems that after a year of smooth sailing, Warzone may have to prepare for a threat never before seen in Verdansk, and any Operators who wish to survive might need to save the celebration for another time and get back in the fight before it’s too late.

“Once again, thanks to you, the community, for being with us for the past year of Warzone. With Season Two’s story continuing through the game’s one-year milestone, we cannot wait to share with you what’s in store for the year to come… but it’ll be better for you to experience it for yourself.”

Call of Duty Warzone event: When is the Warzone nuke event? Will it affect Cold War?

New reports in 2021 suggest that the next Call of Duty Warzone event has been scheduled for the coming weeks.

And the good news for those who are bored with the Verdansk map is that big changes could be on the way.

From what has been shared so far by data miners, the current undead infestation found in Shipwreck will expand.

References to a Plague have been found in audio files associated with Warzone, and it sounds like it won’t be centralised in one area.

Instead of finding Zombies in just one area, this new Plague will spread across the Verdansk map, leading up to a big Call of Duty Warzone Nuke Event.

This could mean that a series of smaller events and Easter eggs will lead up to something that will change everything in the popular Battle Royale spin-off.

Starting small and expanding into a full-blown outbreak, gamers will be tasked with clearing plague zones before a nuke drops on Verdansk.

This will include exfiling from the area, with audio references found suggesting that if you fail, your extraction will be cancelled, and a nuke will be fired against Verdansk.

But while this new mode sounds like a lot of fun, it will also probably mean the end of Call of Duty Warzone as we know it.

Season 2 could be the last to feature Verdansk, with Season 3 featuring new locations and a visual quality more connected with the Black Ops franchise.

It certainly sounds ambitious and would be the perfect way to end the era of Verdansk and refreshing it for something new.

It could also give developers Raven Software the chance to remove some older weapons and make way for new ones.

This remains speculation, but moving to a new map would open all kinds of new options to the team who have had to integrate different Call of Duty games.

According to earlier reports, developers Raven Software are planning to blow up the Call of Duty Warzone map as part of a new Nuke Event.

This will happen after a staged mode has been released where players take on a new challenge on Verdansk connected with Black Ops Cold War.

This will happen during Warzone and Cold War Season 2 but has not been officially announced by Activision.

The new Call of Duty Warzone event is expected to happen close to the end of Season 2, which is scheduled to end during April 2021.

April 22 could be the day of the Nuke Event, however, no firm details have been shared on what Activision has planned next.

But if recent reports and rumours prove correct, April will be the month where Verdansk is destroyed, and a new Warzone map is released.

If a big event is being planned for the end of Season 2, gamers can expect plenty of hints to be dropped beforehand.

In the lead up to Warzone’s other big event, Activision produced plenty of clues for gamers to follow.

This included a mini-event staged on the Verdansk map, which lead to the release of a new Cold War trailer.

It should be noted that the current Zombies Outbreak event is scheduled to end on March 11, with Activision confirmed last month:

“Across Warzone and Black Ops Cold War, Operators can do their part to help Verdansk contain the undead and assist Requiem in their research operations in Outbreak, all while receiving rewards for their efforts through this limited-time event.

“Like previous events in Warzone, Operators can complete a set of challenges that will award them with Charms, Stickers, Emblems, Calling Cards, and ultimately, Weapon Blueprints. This challenge list can be found on the event’s hub page between the “Play” and “Weapon” sections of the Warzone menu.

“For the Zombies Outbreak Event, Operators will have two sets of nine objectives to complete: one specific to Warzone and one within the new Outbreak game mode in Black Ops Cold War Zombies. Finishing all nine objectives within a set results in being awarded a Weapon Blueprint.”

So Activision could start dropping more hints about the game’s next planned event following March 11.
