Camilla Parker Bowles shares her secret to ‘healthy ageing’ while travelling

Camilla Parker Bowles may be 73, but even at her busiest she is said to prioritise “healthy ageing”. As part of her role as a Royal Family member and wife of Prince Charles, the Duchess of Cornwall is often required to fly long distances and spend time away from the UK representing the UK.

With so much travel experience behind her, the Duchess has come up with a specific packing list to ensure all of her needs are met.

This includes making sure she always packs a specific fitness item to help her remain “supple”.

Camilla is a big fan of both yoga and pilates, ensuring she even gets her practice in while overseas.

In his 2018 book Queen of the World, royal author Robert Hardman revealed she always take a yoga block on her travels to aid her practice.

“‘Healthy ageing – that’s what we all need,’ she says cheerfully.”

Yoga blocks are said to help make certain poses more accessible, provide support for those practising and even boost strength.

Made from foam, the blocks are also relatively lightweight which means they are fairly easy to transport.

According to insiders, while at a yoga class in Singapore, the Duchess commented on her own love of the practice thanks to its health benefits.

Yoga is not the only self-care regime Camilla engages in on her travels.

According to Hello! magazine, the Duchess of Cornwall has also been known to pack the Bee Venom Mask cream from skincare line Heaven.

As the name suggests, the face mask concoction is made using actual bee venom and has been hailed as a nonsurgical alternative to a facelift.

Camilla is also said to have recommended the product to Kate in the lead up to her wedding.

‘Slow to thaw’: Princess Anne’s body language with Camilla Parker Bowles shows change

Camilla has had an important royal role since she married Prince Charles in 2005.

She has often stepped out with Princess Anne and the royals seem to have a close bond.

However, body language expert Judi James claimed this was not always the case.

When Camilla first joined the family, the expert suggested Princess Anne was “slow to thaw”.

Judi said: “Given their past histories, with Anne having dated Camilla’s ex-husband, the relationship between Anne and Camilla might have been difficult.

“History like that would normally create a sense of embarrassment or discomfort from someone in Anne’s position.

“But [in one photo] she looked as though she might be ignoring or cutting Camilla rather than avoiding her, suggesting she is taking a slow-thaw route to her sister-in-law.

“But now, the two women seem very tolerant of one another to the point of often looking like old friends.”

The expert analysed pictures of the royals at the time and said their body language showed a growing friendship.

She continued: “In 2007, Camilla’s popularity with the public was rising and she was proving her worth as a member of the Firm via some tours abroad with Charles.

“In one photo, sitting in the carriage with Anne, Camilla wears a reasonably relaxed-looking smile.

“It’s the pose of the two women laughing together in the line-up that really seems to signal not just a thawing of the frost between them but a growing sense of close friendship between two women who have so much in common.”

The royal line of succession – who outranks who?

The line of succession to the British throne dictates the order in which each member of the Royal Family would ascend to the throne.

It is also seen as a ranking of importance with the head of the line, the Queen, taking the place of ruler.

Older children come before younger children. Traditionally boys came before girls, but this law was changed on March 26, 2015 before the birth of Prince William’s first child.

Incredibly, Catholics are still excluded from the line of succession, as are children born outside of wedlock.

The royals, who usually stick to a strict protocol when appearing in public, often arrive at events in ascending order of importance, with the most important royal arriving last.

Prince Charles, 72, is currently first-in-line to the British throne, followed by Prince William, 39, his oldest son.

Then comes Prince William’s children, George, seven, Charlotte, six, and Louis, three, and they are followed by Prince Harry, 36. Prince Harry is succeeded by his son Archie Harrison, born in May 2019.

Dereck Chisora will finally get to step into the ring with former WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker two years after their initial bout was cancelled. However, this fight has also been up in the air over the past 24 hours as Chisora started packing his bags to leave the Matchroom bubble.
A row broke out between the two fighters over who would walk into the ring first. They both signed a contract which stated that the ring walk would be decided by a coin toss.

Chisora’s manager David Haye lost the toss and that sparked outraged from his fighter who was refusing to fight – that was until his mum stepped in.

Haye said: “Thankfully the voice of reason came in – Viola, Derek’s lovely mother, and she is the only person he actually listens to.

“I spoke to Viola about an hour ago and she said, ‘I told him he’s going to come to the ring first, like he promised, and that’s that.

“I talked to Derek, and Derek sort of agreed, yes he’s agreed that.

“The fight is 100 per cent on. Derek will be walking to the ring first as he should have done, because he lost the coin toss. We’ve got ourselves a fight.”

Dereck Chisora threatens to pull out of Joseph Parker bout over ring walk row

Saturday night’s heavyweight clash between Dereck Chisora and former world champion Joseph Parker could be sensationally scrapped after Chisora threatened to walk away from the bout.

Arguments erupted backstage as Chisora refused to walk to the ring first, despite Parker’s status as a former WBO world heavyweight champion.

While Parker is a former champion, Chisora is listed first on the fight posters, with the fight being marketed predominantly in the U.K.

And, after the pair weighed in for their heavyweight clash, the two fighters faced off before the two camps engaged in animated debate over who would walk first.

“We’re having an argument right now, in the back there,” a disgruntled Chisora told Sky Sports after the faceoff.

“They want to do a coin flip for who comes in the ring first and who comes in the ring second.

“I’m like, ‘Nah! Not doing that!’ I come in second otherwise I’m going home, right now.”

When asked how things might be resolved, Chisora shrugged, “I don’t know. Listen, I’m not in a good mood right now.”

Chisora’s stance appeared to take everybody present by surprise, including his own manager, former world heavyweight champion David Haye, who admitted the whole episode made no sense to him.

“I genuinely can’t see the fight happening if Derek’s told to come (to the ring) first,” Chisora’s manager and former heavyweight champion David Haye told Sky Sports.

“I know it makes zero sense. He agreed it. He signed the contract and he’s be breaking the whole (thing).

“He’s that guy. He just doesn’t care, and unfortunately, that’s what it is.”

Haye said Parker “should walk second,” but Parker smiled off the furore, as he simply said, “It’s just more drama!”

The New Zealander is riding a four-fight win streak after suffering back-to-back unanimous decision losses to Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte, with the former taking his WBO heavyweight title in the process.

And he said he’s ready to continue his good form with a fifth straight victory.

“It’s fight time now,” Parker told Sky Sports.

“It’s time for business. We’re here to fight, we’re ready.

“We’ve had no problems with weight. The body is healthy and fresh and ready to go.

“I want to knock him out. I’ll certainly beat him, but I want to knock him out. That’s what I want to do.”

Chisora weighed in at 17 stone, 12 pounds, while Parker came in nine pounds lighter, at 17 stone 3.

Camilla Parker Bowles wears diamond brooch with nod to Queen Mother on royal tour today

Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Charles are visiting Greece to celebrate the nation’s bicentenary. As they stepped out in Athens, Camilla wore a rare piece of jewellery once belonging to Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother.
She removed the coat when inside to reveal a classic navy skirt suit.

This featured a long navy skirt which a matching blazer worn over a cream skirt.

Camilla completed the look with a pair of closed toe navy pumps and black leather gloves.

The 73-year-old dressed up the ensemble by wearing a subtle brooch pinned to the left side of her blazer.

DON’T MISS

The art-deco jewel has been worn by the royal before, as recently as last year.

Camilla has sported it on key occasions including the Royal Family church service in 2017.

It is made from a rock crystal and has a diamond in the middle of the rectangular design.

On first glance, the brooch appears to be fairly minimal but it has a subtle hidden design which adds more detail.

Following the trend of the time, the Queen Mother wore the piece pinned to the outer rim of her hat during one outing in the 1920s.

It is likely it became part of Queen Elizabeth II’s collection following her mothers death in 2002.

The Queen is likely to have gifted the jewel to Camilla, or has leant it to her to wear on various occasions.

By choosing to wear the brooch, Camilla could be showing her respect for the Queen Mother, as the anniversary of her death falls next week on March 30.

Spider-Man: Tom Holland replaces Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker in deepfake

The deepfake follows the continuing reports that both Maguire and Garfield will appear in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

The former Spider-Man actors’ arrival in the series would mean a live-action Spider-Verse was being built.

In Marvel comics the Spider-Verse is made up of countless different versions of the web-slinger from different dimensions.

Multiple versions of Spider-Man were featured in the 2018 animated hit Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which included Miles Morales, Peter Porker and Spider-Gwen.

The Sony-led movie was such a success it received an Oscar for Best Animated Feature.
