Call of Duty Season 4 Reloaded update release time and pre-load NEWS

Call of Duty Season 4 Reloaded update release time and pre-load NEWS

Call of Duty fans are counting down to the release of the mid-season Reloaded update.

The Season 4 mid-season update will add new content to both Call of Duty Warzone and Black Ops Cold War.

Season 4 Reloaded has a July 15 release date. UK players will be able to jump in and enjoy the action from 5am BST UK time.

If you want to make sure you’re ready to go the moment the new season goes live, then you’ll need to pre-load the Warzone and Cold War updates.

According to Activision, the Season 4 Reloaded update will be available to download early.

“The Season Four Reloaded update will be available for Black Ops Cold War on July 13 at 9 PM PT and will be available for Warzone July 14 at 9 PM PT,” Activision explains.

For UK fans, the Cold War update will be available to download at 5am BST on July 14. The Warzone update can be downloaded at 5am BST on July 15.

The Cold War update weighs in at 21 GB on Xbox Series X/S, 18 GB on PS5, 14.5 GB on PS4, 13 GB on PC, and 11.4 GB on Xbox One.

Elsewhere, the Warzone update weighs in at 8.9 GB on PS5 and PS4, 9.2 GB on Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One, as well as 9.2 GB on PC.

Arguably the headline new feature is the Mauer Der Toten Zombies map, which is set after the events of Operation Excision.

The new map sees Requiem agents explore a war-torn Berlin map overrun by zombies.

“Agents will navigate through the dark streets, lit only by spotlights, street lamps, and long-abandoned vehicles, to reach various key landmarks and structures, including a U-Bahn where flaming trains carry undead passengers to parts unknown.

“They won’t be alone, however, if they can find a way to activate a new robotic companion, Klaus, who will help them defeat the undead.”

Other new features include a Wonder Weapon with four unique variants, fast-travel ziplines and new enemies.

As for Black Ops Cold War, Activision is bringing back classic Black Ops 2 map Rush.

“A remastered map from Call of Duty: Black Ops II’s Vengeance DLC pack, Rush is a small-sized 6v6 map that takes place in and around a paintball course.

“This chaotic arena offers multiple opportunities for up-close-and-personal combat, with narrow choke zones to scurry through and a scattering of exterior structures offering longer-range takedown possibilities.”

The paintball-themed map will be joined by a new Paintball game mode later in the season.

Call of Duty Warzone, Cold War mid-season update release date, time, pre-load, patch news

Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War and Warzone mid-season update (Image: ACTIVISION)

Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War and Warzone fans are counting down to the release of the mid-season Reloaded update.

The new Call of Duty update has a May 20 release date on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One and PC.

The Reloaded mid-season update has a 5am BST launch time for fans living in the UK. That’s 9pm PT on May 19 for US players.

There’s good news for PlayStation users, who can pre-load the patch ahead of schedule. This means you can get stuck into the update right away.

Fortunately for Xbox users, the new Black Ops Cold War and Warzone updates aren’t as big as some of the previous releases, so it shouldn’t take too long to download.

The Black Ops Cold War update weighs in at 10.3 GB on PS5, 7.1 GB on PS4, 13.1 GB on Xbox Series X, 8.3 GB on Xbox One, and 10.3 GB on PC.

The Warzone update, on the other hand, weighs in at 14.6 GB on PS5 and PS4, 15.2 GB on Xbox Series X and Xbox One, and 14.9 GB on PC.

Needless to say, the mid-season update adds lots of new content, most notably the 80s Action Heroes event.

“The ’80s Action Heroes event kicks off with limited-time bundles and game modes, in addition to the weapons, maps, and other features already expected during this season,” Activision explains.

The 80s Action Heroes event launches alongside two new operators, including John Rambo and Die Hard lead character John McClane.

“Serving time for murder, highly decorated MACV-SOG soldier John Rambo is offered one more mission – return to Vietnam and locate American POWs. If successful, he will be released, and given a full Presidential pardon.

Available from the item shop, the Rambo bundle includes the legendary character; two Finishing Moves – including one using his signature bow and arrow; three Legendary Weapon Blueprints—an assault rifle, an LMG and a Knife Blueprint; a Legendary Calling Card and Emblem; and an Epic Watch and Charm.

“A hard-bitten cop on the streets of New York, John McClane has a talent for being in the wrong place at the wrong time,” Activision continues. “Now in the fight of his life, he’ll have to rely on his cocky attitude and level head to stay alive.”

The John McClane bundle also contains a Finishing Move, as well as three Legendary Weapon Blueprints – one tactical rifle, one SMG, and one assault rifle – a Legendary Calling Card and Emblem, an Epic Watch, and an Epic Weapon Charm.

Perhaps even more exciting is the addition of new points of interest in Warzone, such as Die Hard’s iconic Nakatomi Plaza building.

Survival Camps from the Rambo movies are also coming to the map, as well as a CIA Outpost.

Elsewhere, Rambo’s Combat Bow is available as a Killstreak, while the Ballistic Knife makes its debut as a new melee weapon in Warzone.

Black Ops Cold War fans also have reason to cheer, as two new multiplayer maps join the game.

This includes the 6v6 Standoff map, which was originally introduced in Call of Duty Black Ops 2.

“First introduced in Black Ops II, Standoff is a 6v6 medium-sized map that features a timeless three-lane feel and provides plentiful opportunities for outsmarting your opponents.

“Remember to check the central building, and always be mindful of a certain exploding van, which has plenty of notoriety within the Call of Duty competitive community.”

Duga also joins the game in Multi-Team modes, after spending the first half of the season in Outbreak.

“Duga offers something for every playstyle, whether you prefer to move through the central admin offices for close-range battles or work your way around the perimeter through the bus depot to the chemical processing plant for long-range battles.”

The mid-season update also makes a boatload of bug fixes and gameplay changes. You can see a small selection of the patch notes below…

Resident Evil ReVerse open beta release date, time, pre-load links for PS4 and Xbox One
Resident Evil fans are counting down to the start of the Re:Verse open beta on PlayStation and Xbox.

The Resident Evil Village multiplayer spinoff is available to anybody who picks up a copy of the upcoming survival horror sequel.

Described as a “fight to the death that all Resident Evil fans can enjoy”, Re:Verse is an online multiplayer spinoff for 4-6 players.

With the release date creeping ever closer, fans can try the game early by taking part in the limited time open beta.

The Resident Evil Re:Verse open beta has an April 21 release date and a 7am BST launch time for fans living in the UK.

Available on PS4, PS4 Pro, Xbox One, Xbox One X and PC via Steam, the beta ends just 24-hours later.

If you don’t want to miss a second of the action, PS4 fans can download the open beta from the PlayStation Store right now. Xbox fans can also pre-load the beta by visiting the Xbox website.

While the beta is open to all players, even without a pre-order, there are a couple of things worth remembering if you want to take part.

Resident Evil fans will need to have a CAPCOM ID to access the open beta, and will also need to own supported hardware – which goes without saying.

While the full game will require PS Plus and Xbox Live, it looks like the open beta doesn’t have the same restrictions.

In case you’re unfamiliar with Resident Evil Re:Verse, Capcom explains more: “In Resident Evil Re:Verse you can test your skills against other players in four to six-person survival horror revenge matches.

“Play as beloved characters from the Resident Evil series and turn the tides of battle with powerful bioweapons.”

The game’s five minute deathmatches feature a unique twist, as defeated players return as Bioweapons.

“Take part in 5-minute Deathmatches, where the player with the most points wins! Use the weapons and items you find to take down even more powerful enemies!

“When your character is taken out, their body transforms into a powerful bioweapon which can be used against other players.

“Pick up multiple Virus Capsules to transform into even stronger bioweapons. Getting revenge with a bioweapon is also a great chance for more points!”

Outriders release date, launch time news and preload update

Outriders release date, launch time news and preload update
Square Enix is launching Outriders this week, with plenty of gamers queuing up to try out the full experience.

The demo has proven a big success mainly due to its generous offering of free content, and not only can gamers still download it, but they can keep much of their built-up experience for launch day.

The Outriders Demo features the first full chapter, including the early story and tutorials, as well as mechanics that are introduced in the game.

This is still available across PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms, but more exciting options are going live this week.

And the good news is that we know when the full game will be arriving, including launch times.

The Outriders console release time has been confirmed by Square Enix and has been locked in for Midnight on April 1, local time.

This means that gamers who are playing on PS4 and Xbox One will be able to start playing straight away on Wednesday, April 1.

But while there is good news for console gamers, PC gamers will need to wait longer before they gain access.

According to the latest release date news, Outriders will unlock on PC at 5pm BST in the UK and 9am PST in the United States.

A message from the Outriders team adds: “It’s to ensure that we have the maximum amount of staff support on hand and working.

“5pm GMT/10am PST is also when Valve staff come online should we need their assistance. 5pm GMT for Steam release is the Square Enix tried and tested ideal time for launching.”

Gamers should also note that Outriders can be preloaded this week across all platforms, with the full release schedule listed below:

  • Xbox – Pre-loading will be live today!
  • PlayStation Platforms – Pre-loading will begin 48 hours in advance of release time
  • Steam – We are still determining our pre-load options here and hope to share news about the possibility of it next week.
  • Epic Game Store: Preloading is not currently possible.

Launch Times:

Rolling Midnight Unlock for Consoles:

  • Consoles (Xbox and PlayStation) will unlock at midnight on April 1st for your specific country.
  • For the USA, this means midnight EDT April 1st, which is 21:00 PDT on March 31st
Unified single global time for PC & Stadia:

  • The platforms will release on April 1st at 17:00 BST / 09:00am PDT
  • These platforms can only release at a single time globally (this is due to how their stores are set up)
  • This time is the standard PC release time for Square Enix and has been carefully chosen to ensure that the maximum amount of support and partner staff are on hand to deal with any launch day issues.

As ever, more news and updates are expected to be shared regarding the Outriders launch before April 1.

And there’s also plenty of time for the team to reveal the longer-terms for the game across all platforms.

The big thing to note if you’re an Xbox console owner with Xbox Game Pass is that Outriders is being added to the service on Day One.

This means you’ll be able to download and start playing Outriders without needing to spend any cash beyond your usual subscription.
