A Chinese man was at the centre of an emotional reunion with his parents after being abducted by human traffickers as a child. Guo Xinzhen’s father spent the last 24 years looking for his missing son in a dangerous trip where he broke bones and was confronted by robbers.
Guo Gangtang travelled across the country on a motorbike in a desperate bid to find his son, who was kidnapped aged only two.
Mr Xinzhen vanished in 1997 in front of the family’s home in Shandong.
Mr Gangtang, 51, travelled 310,000 miles around China following tip-offs on a mission that cost him his life savings.
He carried a banner featuring his son’s picture with him in case the information could lead him to where he was.
The police were able to find Mr Xinzhen’s identity thanks to DNA tests, China’s Ministry of Public Security said.
According to Global Times, two suspects were later identified and detained.
China News reported that the two suspects had been dating at the time of the disappearance.
According to the report, the couple intended to abduct a child and then sell them.
Harry and William issued a rare joint statement in the wake of yesterday’s statue unveiling that was a private event.
The princes’ statement read: “Today, on what would have been our Mother’s 60th birthday, we remember her love, strength and character – qualities that made her a force for good around the world, changing countless lives for the better.
“Every day, we wish she were still with us, and our hope is that this statue will be seen forever as a symbol of her life and her legacy.
“Thank you to Ian Rank-Broadley, Pip Morrison and their teams for their outstanding work, to the friends and donors who helped make this happen, and to all those around the world who keep our mother’s memory alive.”
Liam Payne has been apart from the rest of the One Direction members for almost ten years at this point. After splitting in 2015, fans of the band began questioning when or if the quintet would ever get back together. Liam recently had a live Q&A with his fans where he confessed he has been speaking to Harry Styles.
Liam said: “Yeah, I did speak to Harry, and it was really lovely.”
Giving further context to the call, Liam said: “He called me because he has a sixth sense for if I’m struggling or if one of us is in trouble, I feel like.”
The 27-year-old has recently been in the headlines following the split with his fiancée, Maya Henry.
He added that he had a “really lovely catch-up” with Harry.
Jennifer Aniston has treated her legion fans to unseen snaps of the Friends reunion – but not everyone was happy to see them.
Best known for playing Rachel Green on the American sitcom, Aniston posted the collection of never before seen images onto her Instagram page on Tuesday evening.
The star reflected on taking part in the one-off episode with co-stars Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, Matt Le Blanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer, The Mirror reports.
Among the images was one of the famous faces posing for a selfie together with the Friends set in the background, another showed David – known for his role as Ross Geller – pulling a puzzled expression as he sat alongside Justin and Hailey Bieber.
The couple had been invited to take part in the HBO Max reunion.

However, some fans thought he had no right to be there.
“Why is Bieber there? Lmao,”(sic) one person questioned.
Another queried: “I still don’t understand why Justin Bieber was there?”
“No reason for Hailey and Justin Bieber to be there,” a third quipped.
Others were quick to point out that the Canadian-born singer is a fan of the show Friends.
One fan shared: “Because he adores Friends! Him and Hailey watch it every single day. Justin has suffered with anxiety a lot and he has said that watching Friends has helped him a lot in those moments.
“He has loved the show for years and during the first year of his career he used the name Chandler Bing when booking hotel rooms.”
Also in the collection was an offering of Jen smiling alongside television director and producer James Burrows and the final picture was a cartoon sketch of the Friends cast from The New Yorker magazine.
Next to the post, Jennifer shared how she was feeling after the reunion show aired.
“Still basking in all the love from the #FriendsReunion. Thank you each and every one of you,” she penned.
The age-defying star added: “Swipe for… The bazillionth selfie taken with the five of us… When two TOTALLY different worlds collide – @_schwim_ ’s face says it all …The legend himself, our director of the first season, Papa James Burrows.”
The comments section was flooded with kind words from social media users who were happy to see captures.
Others wanting the actress to share more snaps wrote: “show us other bazillion selfies, trust me we won’t get tired” and “Feel free to post more selfies mama.”

The reunion was a mix of the cast talking to James, with them also visiting the set and reenacting memorable scenes from the hit sitcom.
The cast not only reminisced about some of their favourite scenes, but they also spilled some behind-the-scenes secrets and spoke about where they think their characters would be now.

James was lucky enough to quiz the group of six about how their lives changed due to the success of Friends and also asked if there had been any off-screen romances.
Taking to Twitter, many people slammed James’ hosting abilities with one person writing: “I came here to watch Friends.. Not James Corden and Friends.. #FriendsReunion.”
A second posted: “Sitting down to watch the friends reunion. If there was any way to make me uninterested in watching it’s adding James Corden as the host…. dear god why.”
And a fourth tweeted: “Was getting a bit emotional and nostalgic watching the beginning of the #FriendsReunion and then bloody James Corden appeared and killed the joy.”
However, many others tuning in were absolutely loving it, with one saying: “I think that is the best thing I have watched #FriendsReunion.”
Friends: The Reunion is available to watch on streaming service NOW.
This weekend One Direction star Niall Horan appears on The Jonathan Ross Show. The Irish singer performs alongside British singer Anne-Marie to play their new track together, Our Song. Before their performance, Niall was asked about a potential reunion for 1D. On if the band will reform, Niall said: “I don’t know… no one really talks about it.”
Despite this, Niall added: “[I] still talk to them all the time. There’s a couple of little babies from them lads.
“Everyone’s having their own success on their own. I’m enjoying what I’m doing.”
On if he would get back with the band, he added: “Of course, if everyone wanted to do it, I’d be down for it.
“You kind of need to all get in the same room and have the chat, but I don’t know when that would be.”
However, this figure dwarfs their overall net worth now – and how much they earned overall while recording Friends.
After all these years away, which of the original cast members – including Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry – has earned the most money?

According to MarketPlace, the cast of Friends started off by earning £15,925 per episode when the series first aired in 1994 – going up to a salary of £708,175 by the time of its final series in 2004.
After the series finished, each of the six went on to star in a long list of films and other TV series over the years.
Here we break down how much the Friends cast is worth:
Jennifer Aniston – £212million
Jennifer – who played Rachel Green – is the highest earning Friends star, according to showbiz website Celebrity Net Worth, with an eye-watering wealth of an estimated £212million.
She is arguably the most successful of the Friends cast, having starred in a string of Hollywood films including We’re The Millers, Along Came Polly, Marley and Me and Bruce Almighty.
Since 2019, Jennifer has also been cast as Alex Levy in Apple TV television drama The Morning Show alongside Reese Witherspoon and Steve Carell.
Couteney Cox – £103million
Courteney – aka Monica Geller – is reportedly the next wealthiest Friends star with a net worth of £106million.
Aside from Friends, Cox is perhaps best known for starring as Gale Weathers in the horror film franchise Scream, and she owns the production company Coquette Productions, which was created alongside her then-husband David Arquette.
Courteney also starred as Lauren Miller in the sitcom Family Ties, Lucy Spiller in Dirt, and as Jules Cobb in the sitcom Cougar Town.
Matthew Perry – £84million
Matthew played the lovable Chandler Bing, who we saw take on a new career in advertising towards the end of the show.
But in real life, Matthew has starred in a string of films and series since Friends, taking his wealth to a reported £84million.
Among the series he has starred in – with some also listing Perry as a producer as well – include Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, Mr Sunshine, Go On and The Odd Couple.
His list of films include Fools Rush In, Almost Heroes, The Whole Nine Yards and 17 Again.
David Schwimmer – £70million
David – who played Ross Geller – amassed some of his reported £70million wealth by branching out into films and stage work after Friends.
Some of his most notable work includes being cast as the title character in the drama film Duane Hopwood, and voicing Melman the Giraffe in the kids animation film Madagascar.
Other films he has starred in include Big Nothing (2006) and Nothing but the Truth, while his West End and Broadway roles include Some Girl(s) and The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial.
Lisa Kudrow – £65million
In Friends, Lisa Kudrow’s character Phoebe Buffay wasn’t so great with her money – but the same can’t be said for the reported £63million wealth Lisa has amassed.
Like her co-stars, she has also continued to star in films – with some of her most notable credits including Dr Dolittle 2, Bandslam, Hotel for Dogs, Easy A, Neighbors and The Girl on the Train.
Lisa also produced and starred in the HBO comedy series The Comeback, which saw her nominated for Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.
Matt LeBlanc – £56million
His character Joey Tribiani may have been a struggling actor, but Matt LeBlanc has certainly done alright since Friends, with a reported net worth of £56million.
Matt went on to star in the short-lived Friends spin-off Joey after the sit-com came to an end, while his other notable series include Episodes and Man With a Plan.
UK fans will also recognise Matt for starring in the latest BBC Top Gear reboot from 2016 until 2019, at one point working alongside Chris Evans.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Jenny was forced to move in with Lee and his husband Steve in their caravan so they could film for Gogglebox and keep fans of the show entertained.
They posted on their Instagram page: “Thanks for watching everyone. Time for Jenny to see her husband after 3 months with me. Really going to miss her tho. Have a great summer everyone. SEE YOU ALL IN SEPTEMBER xx”
The series has ended on a high for the duo though, as they kept fans in stitches with their antics on Friday night’s episode. Lee walked into the room holding what he believed to be a raunchy pair of Jenny’s “knickers”.
“Jenny are these yours?” he asked before a confused Jenny responded: “No they aren’t!”
“Are you sure? Well what is it – I thought it was a pair of your knickers?” Lee asked now making fun of his friend.
A bewildered Jenny then asked: “What me in them?”
“Well, they are not mine,” Lee said, going on to admit: “I looked again and it’s a bag isn’t it?
“It’s for the fruit! Did you think I would wear them?” Jenny said as Lee held up a netted shopping bag, accusing his friend of wearing them in place of raunchy underwear.
“Well you never know because some people at a certain age get a second wind!” Lee laughed
“I’m still on my first!” Jenny piped up, the two now creasing.
Transfer news: Who could be on the move this summer?
Jose Mourinho’s shock appointment at Roma, just 15 days after his sacking by Tottenham, will carry greater significance for some of the Italian club’s players. Mourinho has managed a lot of players across stints with Porto, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Inter Milan, Manchester United and Tottenham and he has left his mark at every club.
The Portuguese manager has won trophies at every club he has been in charge of apart from Spurs, so many of his former players will have fond memories of working with him.
That is not the case for everyone though, with Mourinho carrying a reputation for falling out with players, as well as winning trophies.
Plenty at Spurs will attest to his blunt and sometimes confrontational management style and his spell at Manchester United between 2016 and 2018 had many other examples of disillusioned players.
Unfortunately for Mourinho, two of those he had awkward relationships with now ply their trade in the Italian capital.

It may have been his predecessor Louis van Gaal who famously called Smalling “Mike” in an interview, but the England centre-back also had his fair share of incidents with Mourinho at United.
Mourinho frequently questioned Smalling’s professionalism and willingness to suffer for the team during the 2016/17 season.
With Smalling and Phil Jones often sidelined due to injuries, Mourinho felt the need to publicly call out the severity of his defenders’ problems, describing their mentalities in April 2017 as “cautious, cautious, cautious”.
“It’s not just about them,” he said. “It’s about the philosophy and mentality around them.”
It later emerged that Smalling had played with a broken toe, taking two pain-killer injections just to get through a 4-0 defeat by Chelsea. Thankfully for Mourinho, Smalling refused to bite back when asked about his comments in the summer of 2017 while on England duty.
“No, it’s just professional,” Smalling said when asked if Mourinho had apologised for questioning him.

“All of us are professionals and no player wants not to play. That was all just [him being] professional – get on with the rehab and then get out as quickly as you can.
“I think that was directed at everybody. We had a lot of injuries at that time and he was frustrated that quite a lot of players weren’t available.”
It didn’t end there, either. Smalling played in United’s Europa League final win over Ajax in 2017, helping secure Mourinho this third and final trophy with the club. However, his performance still became the butt of a joke from his manager.
“I told my players that for me, beautiful is not giving our opponents what they want,” Mourinho later explained to Expresso of his approach in that game.
“I even joked with Smalling, ‘With your feet, we’re for sure not playing out from the back!”
Mourinho’s relationship with Mkhitaryan had similar frictions, too.
S CLUB 7’s Jo O’Meara has raised hopes of a reunion and said she “would be up for it”.
The cheesy British group – which disbanded in the early naughties – are waiting for the right time to Bring It All Back.
Jo has said the group – including Bradley McIntosh, Hannah Spearritt, Jon Lee, Paul Cattermole, Rachel Stevens and Tina Barrett – are all on good terms and are in talks to hit the studio.
Asked by Bobby Norris and Stephen Leng on FUBAR Radio about a reunion, the Reach singer said: “I think I’d be up for it. Yeah. When the time, if the timing’s right. Because obviously getting seven diaries together to sort of like, it’s tough because you know, few of us have got children and people are married and got other careers going on.
“So timing is always a big, massive, it has a big part to play in it. Definitely. But you never know, could be reaching again one day.”
However, Jo insisted they don’t have an “S Club WhatsApp group” where they talk about reuniting.
She added: “There’s not an S Club WhatsApp group. It would be going like, ‘Ping, ping ping’ all the time. But do you know what? There’s no, there’s nothing set in stone. There’s been no meetings or anything like that. I mean I’d say, I’d never say never to it. You just, you never know what’s around the corner. But who knows, that’s all I’m saying.”
However Jo is working on her solo comeback after she released her debut solo album Relentless back in 2005.
When asked what made her return to music now, she said: “It’s now or never, really. Because I’m sort of like, getting older. And also if I hadn’t took the opportunity and done it, I would have been just thinking to myself, ‘Oh, I wonder if I’d given it a go, what might’ve been’.
Katie Price pays tribute to mum Amy who ‘doesn’t have long to live’
“And I just thought, ‘You just got to go for opportunities when they’re handed to you’. So I’ve just gone for it. And I’m so pleased I did because I feel so good at the minute. I’m feeling very positive.
“I mean, obviously I’m so excited because I think to get a record deal, like it’s really quite lucky, really. But I am, I’m very excited, but I am nervous, yeah. Because it’s been 16 years since I put my first solo album out there. It’s a long time.”

In Part 1 of ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ reunion on April 25, the ladies revisited the season’s hottest moments.
Many hot topics were discussed during Part 1 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion on April 25, including Kenya Moore‘s ongoing divorce from Marc Daly. After Kenya revealed she and Marc are “still in court” because she wants “sole custody” of their daughter, Brooklyn, Kenya revealed a startling new detail about their split.
“He’s fighting for all the wrong things in court”, Kenya said, and when Andy Cohen asked what he’s fighting for specifically, she said, “For Brooklyn not to be on this show. It’s not about custody, it’s not about time being spent, [and] not about child support.”
Kenya couldn’t help but laugh about it, and when Andy asked her if she saw it as Mark’s way of “trying to protect” Brooklyn, Kenya said, “No, not at all. Because it has everything to do with his ego. And all of the things that happened with us that trigger him are ego-driven. And that is what turns me off. Because it’s not about the family, and it’s not about what works for us, it’s not about compromise — it’s about [him]. It’s about what happens with [him].”
Still, Kenya said she still sees herself as a married woman and that’s why she still wears her wedding ring. But she did file for divorce and plans to make her split with Mark official once they hammer out details and a judge signs off on it. But in retrospect, she sees how her tattered relationship with her mom leads her to chasing after “destructive” relationships with men. “I’m chasing something that I didn’t get from my mom,” Kenya said.
Later in the hour, Porsha Williams also discussed her own split with Dennis McKinley, and she confirmed they had broken up three times already — she just couldn’t remember why they parted ways. But she did say that she has no plans to reconcile with Dennis. Porsha further told Andy that she’s since been dating again — LaToya Ali even set her up with someone, but the date was “terrible” — as she and Dennis continue to evolve into more of a “family” relationship than a romantic one.
Drew Sidora‘s husband Ralph also revealed what he was really doing in Tampa — he claims that he was only spending time alone to decompress. Drew said she trusts him because she saw restaurant receipts and the guest count said one — she also said she saw tracking from him that showed he was exercising and running around Tampa on foot. For her, that was enough to believe him, but Kandi Burruss is still skeptical. She rolled her eyes when Drew and Ralph were talking, but when Andy pressed her to share how she really felt, she refused. Kandi said she didn’t buy Ralph’s story, but it wasn’t up to her to believe it or not — she said it’s more important to know that Drew believes it.
In other reunion news, LaToya came out in the last few minutes of the episode and started gunning for Drew. She claimed that one of Drew’s friends bursted into her dressing room and harassed her. And even though Drew apologized for the incident and said she knew nothing about it, LaToya didn’t believe her, so LaToya just started verbally attacking her.
Oh, and Drew also shed some tears while confronting Kenya about a tweet she had shared earlier this season. Kenya apparently retweeted a fan’s comment that said Drew’s conversations with her son about his real dad made them cringe. Drew said kids should be off limits when they’re all fighting with each other (either on the show or on social media), and Kandi agreed, but Kenya didn’t really think she did anything wrong.
