Neverwinter Sharandar Episode 3: The Odious Court is Available Now

The conclusion to the Sharandar storyline arrives to Neverwinter with Episode 3: The Odious Court! For this final episode we are greeted by the arrival of Etrien the Bard, a familiar face who has come to request your assistance. Far from the hellish landscapes where we first met Etrien, she has now returned to her ancient home, concerned over the recent attacks inflicted upon Sharandar. While the threats from the Night and Annis Hags were supposedly dealt with, Etrien brings news of a group of Dryads forced out of their home in the Mended Grove, who seek help.

For those willing to assist the displaced Dryads, a series of dubious tasks will lead brave adventurers to uncover the nature of the supposed Dryad leader, Lithoceae. With the help of the Iliyanbruen elves, and a healthy dose of suspicion, adventurers will reveal the final pieces to this story. It will fall upon you, the heroes of Neverwinter, to make a decisive stand against corrupting forces and those that wield them!

The launch of this final episode will also make way for the release of Vault of Stars: Twisted Denizens on July 20. This hardcore mode brings updated challenges to those who believe they have mastered the dungeon and bested the Queen of Air and Darkness. Using the K-Team private queue system, Twisted Denizens introduces a special set of rare spawns in Alcoves of Light—rooms only available when running Vault of Stars in this new mode. Those willing to face these foes will have a chance to obtain the necessary components needed to craft the Ring of Darkness and Ring of Air.

While completing the original Vault of Stars with no deaths awards the Flawless Victory achievement, a Twisted Denizens run with no deaths will result in a Perfect Run achievement. Players who find all three Alcoves of Light will also achieve “Head Towards the Light”. In addition to these dungeon achievements, the release of Episode 3: The Odious Court will also allow players to complete “Defender of the Feywild”.

For those who do not meet the minimum 40k Item level required for the new Sharandar campaign, the first two weeks of the release of Episode 3 will remove this requirement and welcome all willing adventurers. The Feywild requires your help once again! – will you stand up for the ancient elven homeland? The Odious Court is now live on Xbox One!

Neverwinter Sharandar Episode 2: The Soul Keeper Now Live

The magic of the Annis Hag may have been weakened, but the renewed battle within the Feywild continues with Neverwinter‘s Sharandar Episode 2: The Soul Keeper!

Following the defeat of Granny Necksnapper in Episode 1, the Illiyanbruen elves are focused on reinforcing their position in the Ruins of Malabog and seeking answers to the disturbing accounts coming from the Mended Grove (known previously as the Blighted Grove). In Episode 2, adventurers will once again assist the elves in uncovering information regarding the strange specters seen wandering among the trees of the grove; the bodies of these long departed Eladrin disrupting the rest of visitors and Illiyanbruen alike.

In this new installment of the Sharandar storyline, players are introduced to Mathilda Soulstealer, the Night Hag, when she boldly reveals herself during an attack. Retreating into the ethereal plane, the Night Hag will ultimately face daring adventurers in her own lair. It is within these twisted and dark corridors where players will seek to once again neutralize the darkness gripping the Mended Grove and stop future threats to the rebuilding of Sharandar.

Players’ efforts to combat these ongoing threats within the Feywild will be rewarded with new companion gear in Episode 2. Found within Shattered Diamonds and in the Vault of Stars dungeon, players will now be able to obtain items such as the Glistening Grimoire of the Companion, Glistening Sword Knot of the Companion, Pristine Ring of the Companion, and more!

In addition to the adventure rewards, Episode 2 launch day brings with it a colorful swarm of limited time mounts available for purchase. Three new color variants of the Butterfly Swarm Mounts will be available for the first month of the episode release.

Finally, the mid-Episode 1 release of the Vault of Stars dungeon provided adventurers the opportunity to complete the Wish Upon A Star achievement. Continuing the storyline and completing all Episode 2 missions will also allow players to progress through the Defender of the Feywild Xbox achievement, ultimately completing it when Episode 3 releases in the future.

Neverwinter: A New War for Sharandar Has Begun

Old threats, now vanquished, leave room for rebuilding, for new growth, and for new foes. The Feywild calls upon adventurers once again in Neverwinter’s new module: Sharandar. Divided into three episodes, the newest content release brings a new storyline, adventure zone, dungeon, and more!

Episode 1: The Iron Tooth

Having defeated Malabog, the Iliyanbruen elves looked forward to a peaceful calm. Yet, an air of unease brings twisted visions and waking nightmares – compounded by the severing of the Fey Crossing. The bridge connecting the Feywild and Faerûn now blocks the passage between the planes as elven patrols report a threat watching in the shadows.

In Episode 1: The Iron Tooth, you will be asked to assist Merrisara Winterwhite and the rest of the Iliyanbruen elves in uncovering the source of this new threat.

Feywild Foes

The Feywild is home to many creatures of different natures – some friends, many foes. No threat typically comes alone and this one is no different as players face known enemies such as Fomorians, Redcaps, Grungs, Dryads, and more. Among some of the new creatures tricked into service by the greater foe are the Oni, Froghemoth, and Displacer Beast.

The Oni, sometimes called magical ogres due to the innate magical ability, covet magic. Knowing whom they often serve in exchange for magical items will help in uncovering the source of the new threat upon Sharandar. The Frogemoth, revered as gods by the amphibious looking Bullywug, will force adventurers to contend with their large tentacles, prehensile tongue, and three eyes. Also with extra appendages is the Displacer Beast, a 6 footed cat-like creature with two tentacles sprouting from its shoulders.

The dangers of Sharandar are not to be trifled with, but rewards often serve as an incentive to even the most hesitant of heroes.

Rewards Fey and Wild!

The new 3-part campaign brings with it new rewards, from rings to other shiny tokens such Shattered Diamonds. These diamond fragments can be combined to create new gear transmutes, artifact sets, and more. For those wishing for quicker gear to better face the threats of Sharandar, you will also be able to trade in Seals for new gear!

The greater the danger, the greater the reward. The new Vault of Stars dungeon will allow adventures the means to obtain the Forest Guardian set as well as the Sparkling Fey Emblem Artifact!

Whether you desire a transmute item such as the butterfly Crown of the Forest, the Fairy Court fashion set, or the Refulgent Diamond Pin artifact, Sharandar will reward you for your skills and heroics.

Neverwinter

Starry, Starry Vault

An item called the Night Diamond is said to be the key to stopping the menace that threatens Sharandar. As with any uniquely powerful item, acquiring it will require well-seasoned adventurers. The new level 80 Dungeon, the Vault of Stars, invites you to enter the Gloaming Court and fight your way to the Vault. The unseelie will stop at nothing to prevent unwelcome visitors who seek to threaten the inner sanctum of their Queen.

Those guarding the way to the vault include the Royal Gardener, whose experiments have resulted in beautiful and horrifying creations. If you get past the Gardener, you will proceed through the Forest of Blooms and its concentration of corpse flowers to make your way to the Prince of Frost. A final disorienting challenge to traverse the Maze of Shadows will lead to the final boss: The Queen of Air and Darkness.

Neverwinter

The newly reimagined Sharandar offers a visual feast with its breathtaking environment, especially to adventures seasoned in the hellish landscapes of Avernus. But, just like its infernal predecessor, this module will also bring challenges and adventures. Will you defend the Feywild once again?
