‘I’m so upset’: Paige Spiranac stunned by racism accusations as golf babe cops cancel culture for admiring Masters champ Matsuyama

Golf pin-up Paige Spiranac has lashed out after being met with faux outrage online over a harmless comment she made in relation to Japanese golfer Hideki Matsuyama, who stormed to victory at the Masters on Sunday.

The stunner took to Twitter on Sunday after Matsuyama clinched the iconic green jacket at Augusta, telling the Japanese hero that his victory was “well-deserved”.

Spiranac then offered a casual compliment towards the cuisine in Matsuyama’s homeland, igniting a far-fetched race storm in response.

“The menu for the champions dinner is going to be absolute fire next year”, said Spiranac, only to be immediately met by anger and finger-pointing.

“Paige, Thailand has the spicy food,” boomed one reader, using capital letters to tell Spiranac that she had made a racist comment. “Not Japan. But then they all look alike, right? Shame on you.”

Another felt Spiranac should “apologize to the entire Far East”, concluding: “If you don’t understand that her post is racist and offensive, you are part of the problem.”

Spiranac seemed shaken by the saga. “Honestly, it’s disgusting how everything gets twisted,” she hit back. “I made a comment about how amazing the menu will be next year because I love Japanese food.

“Most winners create menus to honor where they are from and I would expect Hideki to do the same.

“I don’t care if someone calls me a sl*t but to be called a racist is uncalled [for]. I would never and I’m honestly so upset about this.”

More rational readers were as confused as they were willing to defend the tee-loving titillator.

“The comments on this tweet are the stupidest I’ve ever read,” said one. “People love to grasp at straws that just simply aren’t there.”

‘For the haters to dry their tears with’: Golf influencer Spiranac plugs merchandise in latest rebuttal to ‘cleavage critics’

Paige Spiranac was once told “no one will ever take you seriously if you keep posting pictures with cleavage” but that doesn’t seem to be advice she is following too closely judging by the new range of racy towels she is selling.

Ex-pro turned Instagram model Spiranac is one of the social media platform’s more outspoken sporting figures, frequently using the service to make known her thoughts on a range of matters, from her dislike to Bryson DeChambeau to the extensive range of ‘d*ck pics’ she says get sent her way on a daily basis.

Her notoriety online has led to an Instagram following of more than 3 million people and just like any good influencer, she is making inroads in monetizing that audience – with the latest offering from Spiranac being a range of TOWELS which show her sporting the famous Masters green jacket, and very little else.

“‘No one will ever take you seriously if you keep posting pictures with cleavage‘” she wrote in jest along with the post.

So here’s to continuing doing what I want. I made some towels with this image and other prints inspired by The Masters! Link in bio if you want to buy or for the haters to dry their tears with.”

Now, Spiranac’s social media following – all three million of them – will likely disagree with the assertion that posting cleavage photos online means that “no one will take her seriously“.

Paige’s stance is likely a pushback to frequent trolling online, with some nasty figures online hitting out at her online persona.

In recent days, Spiranac also told Australian commentator Francis Leach to “f*ck off” after he slammed her for appearing in a skimpy, low-cut top in a television commercial in a since-deleted tweet.

She also responded to a fan who noted that she “wants to be taken seriously, but wants to show off [her] cans“, telling him: “I’m sorry I was born with tits. I’m not going to hide them because your pea brain can’t comprehend the fact a woman can be smart, strong, and sexy.”

As ever though, this type of online rancor only serves to increase Spiranac’s online profile and as she continues to make money off of her image online, one suspects that it is Spiranac – and indeed her bank manager – who will be having the last laugh.

‘Okay, this was cool’: Golf Insta star Spiranac stunned as DeChambeau wows field with MONSTER tee shot (VIDEO)

Bryson DeChambeau admitted to ‘feeling like a kid again’ after he stunned the crowd at the Arnold Palmer Invitational with a thunderous 370-yard drive over the water at the Bay Hill Club’s infamous par-5 sixth hole.

DeChambeau’s drive travelled across a wide lake and ended up in the rough 50 yards to the right of the green on the 555 yard hole – with no other player in the field coming close to DeChambeau’s tee shot.

DeChambeau, last year’s US Open winner, completed the hole with a wedge shot from the rough before two-putting on the green for a birdie.

I felt like a kid again, for sure. It was exciting,” DeChambeau said after he completed the course with a total of 68, just one shot behind pacesetter Lee Westwood, who leads after 54 holes.

Especially when you pull it off. It was almost like winning a tournament. I got the same chills and feeling when I saw it clear and there was no splash. I gave the fans what they wanted.”

The shot wowed even some of the sport’s most experienced players and social media favorites, with ex-pro turned model Paige Spiranac hailing Dechambeau’s achievement online.

DeChambeau’s power from the tee is of no surprise to those who have followed his recent career. The 27-year-old has spent much of the past 18 months packing on muscle – with some reports saying that he has added as much as 40lbs to his frame in order to give himself an advantage with the driver.

And the hard work in the gym appears to be paying off: he has since emerged as the leading driver on the PGA Tour, averaging 322 yards from the tee last year.

DeChambeau predicted that he would have to carry his drive for around 335 yards in order to be successful with his daring shot – a figure he eclipsed, but he chose to avoid aiming directly for the green because of moderate wind which he feared may have hampered his drive.

He had made a couple of attempts at the same shot at a pro-am event on Wednesday which came up short because of the wind, leading to DeChambeau taking a more conservative approach to the hole in the first two rounds – with fans playfully booing him for his perceived lack of ambition – and he said it was this reaction which led to his ambitious shot on Saturday.

For the most part that’s a shot that I know I can do and I was able to accomplish that,” he said. “I would have done it without the fans, but the fans definitely egged me on a little bit and it was fun to give them what they wanted.”
