The latest reports suggest that Valve have at least two major Steam Sales planned for May and June.
The biggest will be the Steam Summer Sale, which will include discounts on hundreds of games.
The Summer Sale from Valve has become one of its most popular events and the good news is that we know exactly when it will be arriving.
We also know that another Steam Sale will be coming before the Summer event, with the final Spring Sale starting this week.
The Steam Spring Sale has been absent during recent years, having skipped 2019 and 2020 dates.
However, this year will see Valve host something called the Steam Open World Sale in its place.
According to Valve, The Steam Open World Sale is a multi-day event celebrating games featuring the popular open-world mechanic.
The sale will highlight many sub-genres and styles of open world games and while featuring live streams of participating Steam games.
The steam platform has invited all open-world games to join the event, meaning we don’t know exactly what titles will be included.
The Steam Open World Sale has a start date scheduled for May 27, with a launch time locked in for 6pm BST.
The Steam Open World Sale will end on May 31, making it a very short event in comparison to the Summer Sale.
WHEN IS THE STEAM SUMMER SALE?
The Steam Summer Sale is one of Valve’s biggest events of the year and has a release date set for June 24.
We know about these new dates due to leaked information, meaning they haven’t been announced yet by Valve.
However, as the company is never one to provide early news on such events, this sounds like the best guide we will have for the time being.
Other sales are expected to kick off before and after the big Summer Sale event, which usually lasts around two weeks.
The Steam Summer Sale 2020 kicked off in June around the 25th, making this year’s date look like a good shout.
Last year’s event was mainly focused on big discounts but it also contained ways of unlocking other items, with the official announcement confirming:
“Buy games, earn points, then make a quick stop at the all-new, here-to-stay Points Shop, where you’re sure to find the perfect souvenir for your summer adventures on Steam.
“The shop features dozens of new animated stickers and chat effects, profile backgrounds, mini-profile backgrounds, avatars, avatar frames, and more! Plus, discover hundreds of profile backgrounds and emoticons associated with your favourite games, now available in exchange for Steam Points.

It’s unclear if the same stuff is being planned for the 2021 Steam Summer Sale, or if Valve is planning something different.
Recently we rebooted work on our free-to-play game, Dungeon Defenders II (DD2). We’re now committed to giving it a quality-of-life boost, with regular updates and additions based on feedback from our community. While Dungeon Defenders: Awakened continues to be the studio’s primary focus, we felt the franchise’s popular sequel could benefit from some much-deserved attention. To kick off DD2’s new era, we released the Spring Cleaning Update in April, which was packed full of all sorts of requested fixes, important quality-of-life additions, and balance changes. We’ll talk more about that in a bit, but first we want to spread the news on an exciting game update that was just released…
Dungeon Defenders II will now run at 60 FPS on Xbox Series X|S! You read that correctly. Defenders can now customize heroes, build towers, engage in combat, and so many other actions at 60 FPS. Thanks to Microsoft’s backwards compatibility, the FPS Boost feature will bring smoother and more immersive experiences to Etheria, allowing Defenders to focus more on the battle at hand.
Following a recent update from Xbox, another awesome change to DD2 was to the online multiplayer system. Now all Defenders can team up to defend Etheria together online for free! An Xbox Live Gold subscription is no longer needed to join online multiplayer sessions.
Last, but certainly not least, we recently brought what we’re calling the Spring Cleaning Update to DD2 at the beginning of April. This update includes new Daily Login Rewards from our dear Ol’ Peepers (featured in the pic below), new shards, a new pet, new bundles, and some much-needed meta changes!
Since the launch of DD2, Defenders have been asking for cost-saving options on purchases including multiple (or even all) heroes at once. Well, we were listening, and we have finally made that dream a reality! For a limited time, you can unlock all heroes (along with any additional hero we release in the future) for $ 30 USD. That’s 75% cheaper than if you bought all the heroes individually, and the savings only increase with every additional hero released! If you already own all the heroes, why not grab a fresh new look for your favorite defender? New skins will be a regular part of content updates moving forward.
We’ve had a blast revisiting DD2, and it’s clear the community has too. After receiving such a positive response, we’ve decided that DD2 will receive regular content updates moving forward. Etheria needs its defenders, and we want to make sure it’s a place worth defending, with lots of new skins, maps, and challenges to keep you coming back!

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office are investigating whether a shooting on the North Freeway may have been sparked by road rage.
It happened on Thursday around 1:45 p.m. in the 25000 block of I-45 N in Spring.
Deputies said a man was shot while driving on the feeder road near Louetta Road. He was rushed to the hospital and is expected to fully recovery. Two others were in his bullet-riddled truck at the time of the shooting.
“It was shocking. I didn’t expect to get that phone call,” said Gabriela Ibarra, the victim’s co-worker.
Ibarra said she was driving just ahead of the victim. They were all heading to a job site when the shooting happened.
“He got hit in the lower abdomen,” she said. “I would recommend people be careful.”
Investigators said the suspect, who was described as a Hispanic man with “neatly trimmed facial hair” possibly wearing a baseball cap and a blue shirt, may be driving a tan Chevrolet truck with a white hood and a white tailgate.
Tammy Morris, who was an innocent bystander, told Eyewitness News her car was hit by gunfire.
“I heard a sound go off like it was a backfire, but after you hear about four or five ‘Pow! Pow! Pow!’ … it was more like gunfire,” she recalled. “Then I heard it hit my truck. Then the truck next to me sped off and went under the underpass of the freeway at Rayford and I pulled over immediately to check my truck and myself to see if anything had been shot. My truck had been shot a couple times by some stray bullets.”
The shooting is potentially the third road rage shooting just this week in the Houston area. On Monday, the Harris County Pct. 4 Constable’s Office responded to one near Humble. Houston police responded to a road rage shooting in north Houston that same day.
Anyone with information about Thursday’s shooting is urged to contact the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office at 936-760-5800 and refer to case #21A297798.

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Texas Longhorns will wrap up spring football practice at the Orange-White Game Saturday afternoon at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.
This will be the first opportunity to catch the newest version of the Longhorns under new head coach Steve Sarkisian. The scrimmage, set for 1 p.m. Saturday, caps off the 15 spring practices allotted by the NCAA.
This will be the last day of organized team activities for the Longhorns until preseason practice for the 2021 season. There will be player-led workouts during the summer.
Admission for the Orange-White game is free, but there will be safety and distancing protocols in place for stadium seating, according to Texas Athletics.
Fans are expected to wear a face covering and maintain social distancing — even if they are already vaccinated from COVID-19.
Seating at the game
Texas Athletics says seating will first be available in the lower bowl on a first-come, first-served basis. Anyone sitting in Sections 3 though 6 should follow the orange stickers that have been placed on the backs of the seats to indicate available seats.
If all available lower bowl seats are filled, the north and east upper bowls will be opened up for additional capacity.
The gates will open at 12 p.m. You can enter the stadium through Gates 7, 8, 25, 27, 28, and 31.
Gameday experiences
Tailgating will not be allowed on campus before or after the game. The normal game day festivities prior to the COVID-19 pandemic — Bevo Boulevard, Smokey’s Midway and Longhorn City Limits — will also not happen Saturday.
The Frank Denius Family University of Texas Athletics Hall of Fame in the north end zone will also be closed.
UT says it is planning for full capacity at home games during the 2021 football season, and they expect all of the pregame experiences to return in September, as well.
UT wrote on its website: “We look forward to these amazing experiences returning in the fall.”
The south end zone at Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium is still under construction, so the video board and audio system will not be working. That portion of the stadium is expected to be ready for the start of the 2021 season.
All bags larger than 4.5″ x 6.5″, including purses and diaper bags, must be clear plastic and no larger than 12″ x 6″ x 12″.
Parking
Free parking will be available for all fans at certain parking garages, including San Jacinto, Trinity, and East Campus Garages, on Saturday from 7 a.m. until midnight.
Fans may also park for free in Lots 37, 38, 39, and 40 just east of the LBJ Library, according to Texas Athletics.
UT says ADA parking will be available in Manor Garage on the east side of the stadium. To access ADA parking, please display your state issued ADA credentials at Red River St./Clyde Littlefield Dr. checkpoint. From there, you’ll be directed by gameday officials to Manor Garage.

Get ready because big changes are ahead on Good Trouble. The April 21 spring finale featured Isabella’s return, and she revealed that she’s pregnant with Gael’s baby. Just as Davia moved on with someone else, Dennis showed back up at the Coterie. Malika made a decision about her relationships, and Mariana was forced to reveal her relationship with Evan.
HollywoodLife got EXCLUSIVE scoop from executive producer Joanna Johnson about what Isabella’s pregnancy means for Gael and Callie’s future. It’s a “huge buzzkill,” Joanna said. She also discussed the impact of Dennis’ return on Davia, Malika’s future with Isaac, the aftermath of Mariana’s confession, and more. Read our Q&A below:

Isabella’s pregnancy reveal was definitely unexpected. How is Gael going to be navigating this impending arrival? Joanna Johnson: I think these young people on our show, they’re all responsible and all have dreams. They’re all trying to make things happen, but they don’t have great responsibilities personally. They don’t really have to answer to anyone else but themselves at this point in their life, so what interests me about this as well is what happens if you suddenly have to grow up very quickly and start considering your life choices and possibly being a parent? How does that affect your dreams and every choice that you make? How do you deal with something that’s so unplanned with someone that you don’t even know? So I thought that was all stuff that was interesting to me.
This reveal also came at a time when Callie and Gael were on the precipice of possibly getting back together or figuring out what their relationship is going to be. When he told her that Isabella was pregnant, it felt like a nail in the coffin. There was that look between them where it seemed like they’re now ships passing in the night. Do you think all hope for them is lost? Is there a possibility that these two could find a way to make this work? Joanna Johnson: It’s interesting because it sounds so unreal at first. It’s like, okay, so you’re not involved with this girl, right? So it’s not like there’s that. I don’t think you realize necessarily at first how complicated it might be. I think that it’s a hard thing to hear, but it doesn’t have to be a deal-breaker. I think that’s something that they have to explore in the next season. Does this mean that we just push our feelings down, or is there a way to do this? I think that’s kind of how we leave them, but it’s a huge buzzkill. He was finally going to tell her how we felt about her, and she was ready. Callie’s journey this season has been a little bit of her wondering: did I make a mistake when I chose Jamie? Was Gael the one I should have chosen? So it’s certainly not what you want to hear when you go up there thinking that you were going to fall back in bed together. It’s a real buzzkill. But does it have to be the end? That’s a question, and I think it’s an interesting question. Can you still date somebody who’s going to have a baby with someone else?
When Callie was making out with Tony, she said that her heart was with someone else. That’s obviously a weighted statement there. Is she talking about Gael, Jamie, or both? There still unresolved feelings with Jamie, too. Joanna Johnson: I think she’s trying to get over Jamie. She’s trying to deny those feelings. As long as you deny something, it just is going to persist. When you’re a young person, it’s not like you’re smart enough to say I think I’ll wait six months to a year before I get in a relationship again so I can really get over this. You just jump into the next thing, or you go backward. There are definitely unresolved feelings for him that Callie’s going to have to deal with, especially now that they’re going to be trying a murder case on opposite sides. It’s like the universe keeps throwing them back together, especially in adversarial ways.
Callie has made some bad decisions before, but I’m really scared for her now. Does she understand fully what she’s getting into with Kathleen? It seems so ominous. Joanna Johnson: Callie is somebody who is not afraid of doing something controversial, even though I would say she also has a very strong moral sense. She’s created a bond with Kathleen, and I think that she trusts Kathleen on some level, even though she’s not sure how much she can trust her. Like Callie says to Jamie, I find it hard to believe that Kathleen would be involved in something like this, in the disappearance of a witness and potentially the murder of a witness. I think she’s definitely willing to hear Kathleen out, which is why I think she sits down. Kathleen’s persuasive. She’s an interesting character, and I loved having Constance Zimmer on the show this season. It’s just been such a treat, and she just really plays that character so well.

The moment that made my jaw hit the floor was when Dennis returned. He’s back and Davia’s moved on. Is Dennis going to fight for her? Joanna Johnson: Well, it certainly seems like he’s going to have to. I mean, she loves him. Obviously, they have a real history, but he hurt her quite a bit. It’s hard because she’s met this new guy who’s really nice. She likes him a lot, but she’s not in love with him. What’s she going to do here with him back is really the question, and is Dennis going to have to work for it? She certainly seemed upset to see him.
Malika and Isaac reached a turning point in their relationship. She was trying to figure out what she wants, and she does make a decision. She said goodbye to Dyonte and wanted to stay with Isaac. She doesn’t want to lose him. Is it going to be so simple for her to get back together with Isaac? Joanna Johnson: It’s tough because, as her friends told her, you can’t unring that bell. I mean, once you’ve said this to him, that you have these feelings for someone else, is he going to be able to get past that? She feels like she’s polyamorous, but she also is willing to be monogamous to keep her relationship with Isaac. She’s willing to do that, but she’s already told Isaac how she feels. She’s hoping this grand gesture will convince him.

Mariana finally told the girls that she’s in a relationship with Evan. She revealed that she’s dating him after they say they want to sue him and Spekulate. How much will this reveal complicate things, not only for her relationship with Evan but her career? Joanna Johnson: Right now, the girls can’t seem to sell their app idea. They don’t have much of a career, but the real betrayal is the friendship. How will the girls really react? I mean, will they understand? The friendship that these girls have created over all these seasons is deep, and I love their relationship and their friendship. This was what Mariana has been dreading, having to tell them that she has been seeing Evan. It’s just like, I’m so worried about what’s going to happen to them. They’re such a favorite dynamic, at least for me, on the show. I just love them. I worry, and I know what’s going to happen. Is this going to break them up? That would be a huge breakup and devastating.
What can you say about Alice’s arc going forward? Joanna Johnson: Alice’s arc has always been to find her voice and stand up for herself. That has never been something that’s easy for her to do. She finally sort of stood up and thought she was standing there for all these people who were going to have her back and go with her. It’s just a real betrayal for someone who’s had such a hard time speaking her truth to have the consequences really rough. She’s feeling really betrayed. Did she make a terrible mistake? Has she lost an opportunity to get exposure for her career by speaking up? It’s got to break your heart to see Alice, who’s had such a hard time speaking up, finally do that and have no support.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A Spring Branch ISD teacher has been placed on administrative leave and the district is apologizing for a slide she shared with a class on Monday that included a racist term.A picture of the slide, which was shared on social media, read, “How is the word ‘(expletive)’ complicated? How has it changed?” This was part of a “warm-up” activity in English class at Stratford High School in west Houston.
“Definitely, it wasn’t the right thing to do,” one student told ABC13.”She could have worded it differently,” another student said.
Stratford alumni Marcel McClinton told ABC13 he was shocked about the situation.
“My heart sank and my jaw dropped,” he said. “It makes me feel very embarrassed to have her as a teacher and to have graduated from Stratford High School. I feel as though Black and brown students in her classroom are not respected or valued and I know that personally, because I had her as a teacher for a whole year.”
McClinton said he felt the teacher, who is white and is not being identified, targeted him because he’s biracial. He said he complained about her but nothing happened.
In a statement, the school district said the teacher is on administrative leave given, “concerns with the professional judgment in her lesson planning and delivery.””Inappropriate and offensive language was used,” the statement read. “We deeply regret and apologize this incident occurred.”
McClinton said he wants the teacher’s contract to be terminated and others who knew about the lesson to be held accountable.
“I want to know who approved that lesson,” he said.
The teacher has worked for SBISD since 2007 and has been at Stratford since 2013, according to the district.

The first major update of the year for Clash of Clans will include Town Hall 14, which will include additional Tower Defence, Hero, and Troop levels.
Developers Supercell has confirmed that Clash of Clans Town Hall Level 14 will be Jungle-themed, complete with ancient pictograms and hieroglyphs.
And while plenty of stuff is getting upgraded, SuperCell has also announced what new features are coming in the Spring patch.
This will include Starter Challenges, which will make progressing between early Town Halls less grindy.
A message from Supercell explains: “Starter Challenges are a new way for players between Town Hall 2-6 to speed up their progress through a variety of Challenges similar to the Silver/Gold Pass.
“These new Challenges are unlocked with each Town Hall level and completing each Challenge will provide more Challenges to complete.
“There are some deliciously tempting rewards that can be earned on the Starter Pass. From Rune of Gold to a Book of Building, the Starter Pass reward track has up to 5000 points for players to complete.
“Once a player upgrades to Town Hall 7, all unclaimed rewards are automatically collected. When claiming a resource reward if the player only has enough storage space for some of the reward they can now take whatever amount of the reward will fit and some gems. The amount of gems scales from a max 5 down to 1 based on what proportion of the resources were taken. E.g. if a player takes 20% of resources they will receive 4 gems (80% of 5).”
Other early game changes are being made to help Villages grow faster, with a series of reductions for various upgrade times and upgrade costs.

We don’t know exactly when this new Clash of Clans update is going to be available to download but with this news being shared now, we could see something announced between April 12 and 14.
