Valorant 3.01 release time and patch notes news as Riot delays update

Riot Games has confirmed that the delayed 3.01 patch for Valorant will be arriving later today, July 7.

The development team chose to push back the update due to the 4th of July celebrations taking place in North America.

And there is good reason to make such a decision as it means that the full Valorant team can deal with any issues with the upcoming patch.

The good news is that we do know that today will see the new Valorant 3.01 released across all platforms.

There is a good chance that there will be a delay between the Valorant patch going live in North America and the same patch arriving on European servers.

The latest details shared by Riot Games reads: “Patch 3.01 goes out tomorrow (July 7). Expect the usual patch times based on your region.”

Based on what has been shared above, we would expect the Valorant 3.01 patch to land during the morning in North America.

With that in mind and taking references from past launches, the Valorant release time could be set for around 6am PDT.

This will be followed by a wider release, if there are no issues flagged with the current build.

Valorant 3.01 is not expected to offer any new content due to the recent release of Episode 3 Act 1.

But while it won’t be as exciting as trying out a new Agent, gamers can expect some important bug fixes to be included.

We don’t know exactly what they will be but fans will know what needs to be fixed to make Valorant easier to play.

A message from the Valorant patch notes reads: “When we think of VALORANT, we consider every map, weapon, and character to be a part of an ever-changing sandbox where you can use your skill and creativity to overcome any challenge you face.

“We believe VALORANT is at its best when you face a wide variety of unique challenges and are forced to make hard choices about tools and strategies you’ll use to overcome them.

“To that end, we have taken a pass at the entire economy of the game, changing weapon and ability prices so they better suit their impact on a match and allow players to create more dynamic, varied loadouts, and strategies.

“Game-spanning changes like these can be painful as we are asking you all to relearn many things that you’re now comfortable with.

“There will be times when you are forced to make harder choices about what you bring into battle each round or forced to engage with an opponent differently—but just know that your enemies are facing the same challenges.”

Gamers can expect full patch notes to be shared by Riot Games after today’s update has been released.

Valorant Episode 3 release time REVEAL: Valorant Act 1 Battle Pass, new Agent update news

UPDATE: A new schedule has been shared by Riot Games confirmed that the Valorant Episode 3 release time has been set for after 10am PDT on June 22. Unfortunately, North American servers will be down for maintenance between 6am PDT until 10am PDT.

Meanwhile, The Valorant update time for Europe has been set for around 8am BST on June 23, when the regional four-hour server downtime is scheduled to end.

ORIGINAL: The time is drawing near for the latest content update to be released, with developers Riot Games revealing more regarding the new Agent and Battle Pass included in Valorant Episode 3 Act 1.

The good news for gamers is that both will be available to play and level up when the new Episode 3 update has been released.

Like in the past, the Act 1 Battle Pass for June will cost 1,000 VP and includes Weapon Skins, Gun Buddies, Cards, Sprays, and Titles.

The Episode 3 Battle Pass will be available for around two months and will launch on June 22.

The one big change gamers will notice is that Riot Games is going to start rewarding gamers who play with friends.

Squad Boost will be going live this week and will reward those who play with friends over the next three weeks.

The bonus levels are as follows:

  • Party of 1: 0% Bonus XP
  • Party of 2: 8% Bonus XP
  • Party of 3: 12% Bonus XP
  • Party of 4: 16% Bonus XP
  • Party of 5: 20% Bonus XP

“As with every battlepass, we always want to create content that appeals to a wide and diverse audience,” Preeti Khanolkar, Senior Producer commented ahead of launch.

“A player might not love every single thing in the battlepass, but there should always be at least one thing that they absolutely love.

“For this pass, we wanted it to feel very much like a reflection on the past because it’s been one year since the game launched. That’s why we created the K/TAC and Jigsaw gun skins as callbacks to our lore and agents.

“Lately, we’ve also tried to just create stuff that players will find funny, like the “Too Heavy” and “Clutch or Kick” sprays. If we’re cracking up over something, we hope that players will find it funny too, like some of the memey Jett sprays we’ve done in the past.”

WHEN IS VALORANT EPISODE 3 COMING OUT?

Riot Games has confirmed that Valorant Episode 3 Act 1 has a release date set for Tuesday, June 22, in the United States.

Maintenance is expected for the release of the new update, meaning the game will likely be offline for several hours.

Most major patches are released as part of a global rollout, and there’s a good chance North America will be one of the first places to get it.

This is so the Valorant team has plenty of time to tackle issues that might arise from an update.

With that in mind and taking references from past launches, the Valorant Episode release time is expected at around 6am PDT.

It should also be noted that European servers usually lag behind by a day, so Valorant Episode 3 could start a day later on June 23.

Riot Games are expected to share an update on what is being planned this week in the coming hours.

Another big part of this week’s Valorant update is the release of the new agent named Kay/o.

A robot with a grudge, KAY/O is a machine of war built for a single purpose: neutralizing radiants.

Its power to suppress enemy abilities cripples his opponents’ capacity to fight back, securing him and his allies the ultimate edge.

Obviously, the final product will be more balanced than the above description but you can imagine the impact this new ability will have on Valorant Episode 3.

KAYO will be able to throw a Suppression Blade that suppresses anyone in the radius of the explosion, and will also be able to overload on radianite energy that empowers KAY/O and causes large energy pulses to emit from his location.

And if you get hit by one of these beams, Enemies hit with these pulses will find themselves suppressed for a short duration.

You can expect a lot of feedback and further balancing patches to be released after this week’s Episode 3 release.

Valorant Kayo release date news and Episode 3 Act 1 start time update

Riot Games are preparing to make some big changes with the release of Valorant Episode 3 Act 1, with new Agent KAYO set to shake up the meta.

The introduction of another new character during 2021 is expected to have a large impact, and it won’t be long before everyone can check out the android.

The Valorant Episode 3 Act 1 release date starts this week with a big game update bringing a new Battle Pass and Charity Bundle.

But it seems pretty likely that Valorant players will be focusing on KAY/O, rather than unlocking new cosmetics.

The full abilities list for Kay/o is as follows:

(E) ZERO/point: EQUIP a suppression blade. FIRE to throw. The blade sticks to the first surface it hits winds up, and suppresses anyone in the radius of the explosion.

(Q) FLASH/drive: EQUIP a flash grenade. FIRE to throw. The flash grenade explodes after a short fuse, blinding anyone in the line of sight.

Right Clicking the flashbang, throws a charged flash, causing it to only have to cook for 1 second, as opposed to left-click throwing a flash that cooks in 1.6 seconds.

(C) FRAG/ment: EQUIP an explosive fragment. FIRE to throw. The fragment sticks to the floor and explodes multiple times, dealing near-lethal damage at the centre with each explosion.

(X) NULL/cmd: INSTANTLY overload with polarized radianite energy that empowers KAY/O and causes large energy pulses to emit from his location. Enemies hit with these pulses are suppressed for a short duration.

WHEN ARE KAYO AND VALORANT EPISODE 3 ACT 1 COMING OUT?

Developers Riot Games have confirmed that the KAYO and Valorant Episode 3 Act 1 release date have been scheduled for Tuesday, June 22.

The one thing to note here is that European servers might lag behind others depending on what the Valorant team has planned.

No release time has been announced yet but there’s a good chance that Valorant Episode 3 will be playable by late morning in North America.

More news on expected maintenance and server downtime is expected to be shared by Riot Games over the coming day.

Asked what their goals were for releasing a new character like KAY/O for Valorant during Episode 3, John Goscicki, Character Producer, revealed:

“With KAY/O, our goal was to add something that felt familiar to traditional FPS players, but had elements that made it uniquely fit within VALORANT.

“This is represented in a couple of ways: FLASH//DRIVE and FRAG//MENT should be bread and butter gameplay for many of you that have been lobbing nades your whole lives.”

“With Suppression creating moments where gunplay is all people can rely on.

KAY/O was the first Agent that we started developing after the game launched, and we wanted to integrate him into the world a bit more.

“By now you have seen the teasers on Breeze, which were one way we pursued this, for all of you lore inclined folks he has some fun relationships with the roster.”

Valorant Episode 3 release date: When is the new Valorant agent KAYO coming out?

Anyone waiting on the next big update and news of the Valorant Episode 3 release date will have been pleased with Riot Games’ latest announcement.

As part of the next major free expansion, a New Agent, Battle Pass and Charity Bundle will be released next week.

This will all be part of the official Valorant Episode 3 Act 1 release date, which will be going live later in June.

Fans have already been learning about the game’s next agent following the launch of a brand new trailer.

KAY/O will be the latest member of the Valorant squad list that looks set to shake up matches with its new abilities.

WHEN ARE KAYO AND VALORANT EPISODE 3 ACT 1 COMING OUT?

Developers Riot Games has confirmed that the KAYO and Valorant Episode 3 Act 1 release date have been scheduled for Tuesday, June 22.

The one thing to note here is that European servers might lag behind others depending on what the Valorant team have planned.

No release time has been announced yet but there’s a good chance that Valorant Episode 3 will be playable by late morning in North America.

One thing that fans might see as a little odd is KAYO’s ability to throw an exploding blade, rather than it just being a grenade.

John Goscicki, Character Producer at Riot Games revealed some background on the development of this ability, telling gamers:

“So, early on in development, Rycou represented suppression by throwing a Jett knife and having it explode. As we were mocking up what the ability could be everyone was like… it’s gotta stay a knife, it doesn’t make sense as anything else.

“This resulted in all of us trying to figure out how the technology for an exploding suppression knife works, and why a robot needs it. Every review someone would be like “I’m so happy we made it a knife.”

“We needed to give players that had just been Suppressed better feedback that they couldn’t use an ability. One way we did this was by hooking up the “I can’t use that” VO line whenever you try to use an ability while suppressed.

“Apparently when Viper has ulted, she thinks she is constantly casting…. This resulted in Viper constantly saying “I can’t use that” but with the frequency it sounded like she was poorly trying to beatbox.”

When is the next Valorant Night Market time

The Valorant Night Market return is scheduled to within the next 24-hours, with gamers finding out through an official confirmation.

The news has been shared online by Riot Games as part of a bumper day of announcements for the game.

And if everything happens like is being predicted, the Valorant Night Market time in North America will happen on Wednesday, June 2.

For gamers in the UK, the Night Market is expected to return around the same time; however, it might not drop until the early hours of June 3.

The Valorant Night Market update time is expected to happen between 11pm BST and 1am BST (June 2 – June 3).

Riot Games is expected to share the return of the Night Market via its social media platforms, meaning gamers shouldn’t miss out.

As many gamers will already know, the Valorant Night Market is a randomly occurring event that offers a rotating store of cosmetic items.

Different gun skins are offered each time, usually at discounted prices, with around six or seven different designs each time.

There is no way of knowing what will be included beforehand, but we do know that the Night Market is usually available for around 32 days.

The Valorant Night Market is located in the top right corner of the game’s opening screen and usually sparkles to make it easy to spot.

The return of the Night Market is usually a news highlight for Valorant between new Seasons and content drops.

However, this week has seen Riot Games announce several new expansions for the hit PC game.

Riot Games has also announced that 50% of the proceeds from weapon skins and 100% from accessories in the Give Back Bundle, will go towards the Riot Games Social Impact Fund, in partnership with Impact Assets.

A new event pass is also dropping, with Riot Games telling fans today: “Even though it’s technically our birthday, there’s another gift to you: the YR1 Event Pass—free for everyone.

“No prerequisites, no VP spend, just 7 levels of exclusive YR1 items like the Episode 3 Player Card, a Gun Buddy, and more. Just play VALORANT, earn XP, and unlock.”

Adding: “Each of our global VALORANT regions will vote for a unique item like Sprays, Gun Buddies, and titles that best reflect their local region. The VALORANT dev team will review the top vote earners, with select items to appear in a future Community-powered Battlepass in Episode 4.”

Valorant Duality Redeem Code Latest from Riot Games

With so many people playing Valorant right now, it’s easy to see how issues could arise from a Duality Card giveaway. For those who might have missed it, Riot Games revealed that they were given away a free Duality Player Card, starting this weekend.

However, since the code giveaway began, problems have affected the system to redeem the Duality Card.

This has left gamers a bit flustered, as the Duality Card was only going to be available until June 1 to claim.

The good news is that Riot Games has provided an update regarding the situation, confirming that they have dropped the time limit.

That means there is now no time limit on when you can claim the Duality Card, removing some of the pressure.

The original system provided a Valorant redeem code which could be posted to redeem.playvalorant.com.The Valorant redeem code is YTILAUD – this will unlock the Valorant Duality Card. And the latest information on the current situation reveals that Riot Games are hoping to bring the system back online soon.

The message reads: “We know a lot of you have been trying to claim your free Duality Player Card.

“We’re working with our partners to stabilize the code redemption tool as we continue to experience a high volume of traffic. We’ll be removing the time limit and expiration on the code.

“We will update you once things return to normal.”

Valorant Player Cards are the background pictures that can be unlocked to use for your name in lobbies, or when you load into a match.

“To reiterate; this is because we’re prioritizing quality over speed—VALORANT is a game played on the slimmest of margins and we want to make sure everything we put out has the level of refinement you expect.“That said, expect a new Agent for Patch 3.0. This time around we are throwing in some abilities that should feel familiar to folks who’ve played traditional FPS games their whole lives, but with added elements that will make those recognizable abilities unique within our roster.

“This is an Agent who’s utility can create moments where you must rely on your gunplay.

“Our hope is that the @*&#*&!(&H! #$ &*! *%# &@! *U&^A! “@*!!*(@@*&^” (@&* ^@!^& &@! *&# &^C#^ANG W*^@ $ O )(E&# *[email protected]! S!T#$

“Huh, I’m sorry my keyboard just stopped working there… oh well. The new Agent is coming soon enough, and we’re looking forward to seeing what you think when they finally say hello.”

Valorant Act 3 release time news: When is Battle Pass and map update out?

Author:
This post originally appeared on Daily Express :: Gaming Feed

The time has come for the latest content update to be released, with developers Riot Games revealing more regarding the new map and Battle Pass before the Valorant Episode 2 Act 3 release date.

Act 3 hasn’t got a confirmed Agent launch locked in yet, but we know that the Breeze map will be available to play on release day.

There will also be a fresh Battle Pass to complete, with the Episode 2, Act 3 Battlepass costing 1,000 VP and includes gun skins, Radianite points, gun buddies, cards, sprays and titles.

Riot Games has also announced the new Forsaken skinline, which allows you to wear the remnants of the exiled Sovereign, and includes a custom model, visual effects, audio, variants, killer banner and finished for the Vandal, Operator, Spectre, Classic and Forsaken Ritual Blade.

It is priced at the PE price tier with skins starting at 1,775 VP each or 7,100 VP for the bundle.

Without a new Agent beefing up the lineup of new content, most fans will be looking for the new Breeze map to take centre stage.

Breeze is set on a remote island located somewhere within the southern part of the BERMUDA TRIANGLE.

The aesthetics feature a bright colourful environment with wide-open spaces and opportunities for long-range encounters.

Riot has been teasing the new map this week, with new gameplay footage being shared by streamers of the wide choke points and large open spaces that will be on offer.

And speaking about the goals of the new Breeze map and what kind of impact they wanted it to have, Riot’s Sal Garozzo revealed this week:

“One of the main goals we had with Breeze was building larger and more open spaces with longer sightlines than the other maps in the pool.

“This provides an opportunity for different weapons and Agents to shine. Each map should provide different strengths and weaknesses for the Agents in the roster to explore while supporting different types of strategies and team compositions.”

WHEN IS VALORANT ACT 3 COMING OUT?

Riot Games has confirmed that Valorant Episode 2 Act 3 has a release date set for Tuesday, April 27, in the United States.

And based on earlier releases, we would expect the Valorant Act 3 release time to be set between 1am PST and 6am PST.

“When coming up with our crazier ideas, we look to see what the VALORANT community finds hilarious or interesting.

“One of those moments inspired the Knife Fight card, which is one of our favorite cards because when Icebox first released, we laughed a lot at all the videos of players taking turns “jousting” on the ziplines.

“The Paul’s Pizza Party card is another card inspired by the community’s love for the “Employee of the Month” on Icebox, Paul, and the items in the Icebox kitchen.

“For gun buddies, we created the Ancient Mysteries Revealed buddy because players seem to find the seemingly-random octopus-related content to be funny. Similarly, Dan the Penguin was an obvious buddy choice given how cute he is and how much players adore him.

“There are a lot of great sprays in the pass, but one of our favorites is probably Lobster? Sometimes, something is just so silly and low-effort that it’s actually amazing.”

Valorant Breeze update: New Valorant map gameplay reveal date set for April

Valorant has been teasing its new Breeze map this week and has now confirmed when fans will get to see new gameplay.

Not much is known about the new location other than it’s going to be set somewhere tropical.

This is based on the few images shared on the official Riot Games Twitter, meaning there is still plenty to be revealed.

The good news is that gamers won’t have to wait long, as content creators will start sharing gameplay next week.

From what has been shared, new Breeze content will be shared on Monday, April 26, probably via Twitch.

A message from the official Valorant Twitter page reveals: “Excited to see how the best VALORANT players do in our new map Breeze?

“Competitors are busy with #VALORANTChallengers events today, so we’ll give all competitors special access to the map on April 26th when they’ll be able to stream and share content with our community.”

Riot Games has also confirmed that a new update is being planned for later this month, with the message adding:

“Our next patch is out on April 27 or 28, depending on where you are in the world.”

Another big update coming to Valorant is scheduled for May, with the Valorant Champions Tour 2021: Stage 2 Masters – Reykjavík kicking off next month.

Discussing the Masters points structure for this year, Alex Francois, Global Head of Competitive Operations revealed:

“When determining how teams would qualify into Champions this year, we had one main goal – make it the most competitive tournament possible.

“To do that, we needed to weigh a variety of factors. First, we wanted to ensure that we were rewarding teams who have shown consistent results throughout the year.

“However, we also wanted to ensure that we were valuing the recency of results – finishes closer in time to Champions are likely a better indicator of success than finishes months earlier. Finally, we considered the fact that as we move to international competition, the difficulty of winning Masters grows.

“This all resulted in our existing Masters points structure. We believe that the balance of lower points at the Regional Masters events, followed by an increase in available points heading into Masters: Reykjavík, and an additional increase in points heading into Stage 3 Challengers (along with the automatic qualification into Champions for the winning team) will help us meet our goals.

“It’s important to remember that Championship Points will also count towards seeding at the Last Chance Qualifiers, pan-regional tournaments that will select the final teams for Champions, not just for qualification into Champions itself.”

Valorant Prime 2.0 skins as Karambit Knife steals the show before release

Riot Games has announced the launch of Valorant Prime 2.0, an official upgrade on the original designs launched by the studio.

The good news is that all of these new 2.0 Prime designs will be going live this week, complete with standout choices.

Riot Games describes Prime 2.0 as the 2021 evolution of the original Prime set that players saw last year, this time focusing on the themes of modern luxury

This means brand new models but it also includes upgraded features that are already catching player interest.

Riot Games has confirmed that there will be new exhaust ports for additional firing effects, while the set has also expanded its gun selection, which boasts not just a Phantom but also a karambit-style melee.

Riot Games has confirmed that Valorant Prime 2.0 will be going live on Tuesday, March 2, around the same time Episode 2 Act 2 starts.

It should be noted that start times and dates could end up being different depending on where you live in the world and what servers you play on.

Speaking about the launch of Prime 2.0, Sean Marino, Art Lead on Valorant, revealed that this might not be the end, although there are no set plans for new sets.

Commenting on the chances of further sets in the future, Marino explained: “We don’t have any planned right now. Prime//2.0 and Glitchpop were sets that were very obvious choices for us to make more skins for. However, we’re still gathering player feedback before we decide to commit to making more skins for an existing skin line.”

Meanwhile, Chris Stone, Senior Weapons Artist, shared this on the design challenges of Prime 2.0, revealing:

“We took inspiration from many hypercar designs that you’d see in the Geneva Motor Show. Specifically, the exhaust ports and FX interaction on the side of the guns was inspired by car exhaust backfire on high-end cars.

“We also wanted to make this skin line feel more aggressive than the original Prime set, so we relied on more angular shapes in the model design as well as emissive elements that spanned from the front to the rear of the weapon.

“Of course, players have been asking for a karambit-style melee for a while. We thought this was a great opportunity to put our own spin on it by creating a unique high-end karambit with some unique equip animations, while still preserving that classic karambit interaction through the inspect.”

Prime 2.0 will include the following weapons:

  • Phantom
  • Frenzy
  • Bucky
  • Odin
  • Melee (Karambit)
And the level design will run in this order:

  • Level 1 – Custom Model, ADS reticle, and ejectable bullets
  • Level 2 – Custom muzzle flash and firing audio; visual effects through gun’s vents and eyes on bull light up when firing
  • Level 3 – Custom equip animation with visual effects and audio; custom inspect audio
  • Level 4 – Kill Banner and Finisher
  • Level 5 – Gold Variant
  • Level 6 – Green Variant
  • Level 7 – Red Variant

Melee

  • Level 1 – Custom Model
  • Level 2 – Custom equip animation with visual effects and audio; custom swipe VFX and audio; custom inspect audio.

According to the latest pricing guides set out by Riot Games, buying the full bundle will cost 7,100 VP. Individual purchases will run to 1,775 VP per gun skin and 3,550 VP for the melee, with the Karambit a standout addition for gamers discussing the new launch online.
