Tenerife holiday: Is Tenerife still in lockdown?

Despite easing lockdown restrictions, Spain’s Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez has warned social distancing measures and hygiene controls must still be strictly observed.

He warned of the risk of a second coronavirus wave: “which must be avoided at all costs.”

In Spain, police have already faced closing several Andalusian beaches after tourists flocked there in good weather, flouting social distancing rules.

Airlines are travelling to Tenerife, with TUI resuming flights to Spain including Tenerife from July 11 from three UK airports – Birmingham, Gatwick and Manchester.
