Bradley Walsh welcomed a host of eager quizzers to The Chase this afternoon but the ITV host was taken aback when the last player in the team made a shocking suggestion after the first player had finished their cash builder round. However, the presenter couldn’t resist taking a cheeky swipe at the contestant and continued to do so throughout the show.

Luke, 26, Joyce, 78, Huw, 42 and Donna, 44 were up against Anne Hegerty on today’s The Chase.
The first to face the Chaser was Luke who put on an impressive display for his cash builder round as he earned £7,000.
In the usual fashion, Bradley asked the team their opinion on whether Luke should take the money he earned or exchange it for a higher or lower amount.
The Chase fans will know that the first contestant usually opts to stick with the money he or she has brought to the table in order to make sure the team gets off to a good start.

Contestants rarely advise their teammates to go for the lower offer unless you are the last player up and the team have accumulated a large jackpot.
However, when Bradley asked for Donna’s opinion she shocked everyone by suggesting Luke should take the lower offer.
Joyce disagreed with her advice and pleaded: “Please don’t go for the higher offer,” before advising Luke to stick with the £7,000 and make his way back to the team.
Stunned by Donna’s comment, Bradley quipped: “We already know where seat four is going.”
When Luke decided to stick with the money he’d earned, Anne said: “I knew you weren’t going to go low.”
However, some viewers leapt to her defence and wrote: “#TheChase whatever Donna does there’s no rules saying she can’t go for the low offer.”
“To be fair to seat four…she’s preparing us on what she is going to do rather than doing us dirty #TheChase,” another said.
Despite Luke’s impressive cash builder round, he was caught by Anne and Joyce quickly followed suit.
However, Huw became the first team player to secure his spot in the final and added his winnings of £8,000 to the jackpot prize fund.
Next up was Donna and Bradley couldn’t resist taking another swipe at the player when it was her time to decide whether she wanted to keep the £5,000 she earned or exchange it.
