The Good Doctor cast showed its penultimate episode yesterday (Monday, March 2) which left fans divided as Lea Dilallo (played by Paige Spara) continued to reject Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore), refusing to make their relationship a romantic one. But besides from the ongoing personal drama in the ABC medical series, there were plenty else going on in the hospital, including a number of guest stars. So which actors made a brief appearance in the show?

Warning: This article contains spoilers from The Good Doctor season 3’s Fixation.

In last week’s episode, Lea silently rejected Shaun’s idea of them getting together but the young doctor continued to try and prove to her that there was still hope for them.

However, enough was enough by the end of the episode and Lea bluntly said: “Shaun, you are autistic. You can’t fix that.

“You are who you are, and I am who I am, and the two of us will never work.”

Clearly angry and upset, Shaun walked away without saying another word, potentially leaving their friendship in jeopardy.

The Good Doctor Cast

Alice – Ever Carradine

In Fixation, Alice (Ever Carradine) is a patient with an undiagnosed condition which causes her to feel continuously dizzy and lightheaded.

She had been suffering from the condition for five years since the birth of her daughter but no one had been able to identify what was wrong with her so it was up to Shaun, Neil Melendez (Nicholas Gonzalez) and Claire Browne (Antonia Thomas) to figure it out.

But she had not told them the whole truth.

Alice’s husband and daughter arrive, after she lied to them saying she was going to visit her sister.

According to her husband, she already had a diagnosis from two doctors which she left out of her records as she didn’t believe it was right.

Eventually, Shaun works out she has an adrenal tumour which can be removed and following the surgery, her previous symptoms start to slowly fade away.

Actress Carradine has appeared in numerous series over the years including Commander in Chief, Women’s Murder Club, 24 and A Town Called Eureka.

But she is probably best known for her roles as Janet Stein in Runaways as well as Naomi Putnam in The Handmaid’s Tale.

Wes – Harold Perrineau

Actor Perrineau also starred in The Good Doctor’s Fixation as former drug addict Wes who now works with at-risk youths.

He goes to the hospital with an infection but had to go into emergency surgery as the infection had spread to his aorta valve.

Following the surgery, he is told he has significant tissue damage and that the infection had stopped blood flow to his kidneys and would be in need of a transplant.

One of the teenagers who he helps was there at the hospital and asked to be his donor but despite being a match, Dr Audrey Lim (Christina Chang) doesn’t think it’s a good idea as he is so young and instead lies to the teen, telling him he wasn’t a match after all.

Perrineau is currently playing Nick Armstrong in The Rookie and last year was in Claws and Star.

Some of his biggest roles were in the noughties as he played Michael Dawson in Lost and Detective Leo Banks in The Unusuals.

He was also Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet starring Leonardo Dicaprio and Clare Danes.

The Good Doctor season 3 continues every Monday evening on ABC.
