The Good Doctor returned for a brand new episode on Monday, February 10 on ABC which saw Dr Shaun Murphy (played by Freddie Highmore) treat a social media influencer (Chelsea Alden). However, at the end of the ABC show’s latest instalment, there was a greater issue at hand as Dr Neil Melendez (Nicholas Gonzalez) received an official complaint from one of his members of staff. Fans have since expressed their thoughts on the identity of the complaining culprit.
In the final moments of episode 14 entitled Influence, Dr Audrey Lim (Christina Chang) wanted to have a private word with Dr Melendez.
When they were by themselves, she made him aware someone had made an anonymous favouritism complaint against him, accusing him of being more in favour of Dr Claire Browne (Laura Thomas) than the other doctors who work under him.
Dr Lim told him: “There’s something awkward we need to talk about: you and Claire.
“I received an anonymous favouritism complaint. We need to deal with it.”

Who filed favouritism complaint against Dr Melendez on The Good Doctor?
When the scene aired, fans took to Twitter to accuse one character in particular of the anonymous complaint.
From the get-go, many assumed it was Dr Morgan Reznick (Fiona Gubelmann) who was behind it.
One fan tweeted: “Morgan Reznick is ANNOYING!!!! I haven’t liked her character since she started.
“You wanna send anonymous complaints about favouritism but none of your bosses know you have arthritis.”
Another said: “Screw Morgan for snitching on Claire and Melendez for running.”
While a third simply stated: “A favouritism complaint? It had to be Morgan.”
Since Claire’s mother died, Dr Melendez has comforted her and the pair have grown closer as they also share a common interest in running.
Whether or not there is a romantic spark between them is still unclear but at the very least they are starting to have a good friendship.
While all of this is going on though, Morgan is secretly suffering from arthritic pain which could affect her performing surgery on her patients so in fear of her own position at the hospital, did she make the complaint?
On the other hand, some fans think there is another possibility.

Taking to Reddit, viewers have also stated how it could have actually been Dr Alex Park (Will Yun Lee).
One said: “Park submitted the complaint. Im calling it.
“He’s been so annoying lately. I hope he gets fired or removed from the team.”
A second commented: “I guarantee it was Dr Park who put in the anonymous tip since he was in the OR with Melendez and Claire while they kept agreeing with each other.
“He is definitely feeling the pressure since the other residents have stepped up their game while he is getting left behind, it’s no wonder he would resort to something so low.”
This week, The Good Doctor was renewed for a fourth season so fans will be seeing a lot more of Dr Murphy and the rest of the team once series three is finished.
ABC Entertainment prez Karey Burke said in a statement: “The Good Doctor has been a cornerstone on Monday nights and is one of those special heartfelt series that fearlessly tackles inclusivity.
“David Shore’s thoughtful storytelling, combined with an incredible cast led by Freddie Highmore’s nuanced performance as Dr Shaun Murphy, are what have made this series a breakout hit over the past three seasons, and I’m excited to see where they take us next.”
A release date for season four has yet to be announced.
The Good Doctor airs on ABC on Monday evenings.
