The Last of Us Part 2 release date has been delayed several times by developers Naughty Dog but now has a set launch scheduled for this week.
Continuing the story of Joel and Ellie, fans of the original game have had to wait years for the sequel.
Reviews have been positive and it looks Sony and Naughty Dog are going to be seeing a lot of sales clocked up in the month of June.
So when can gamers expect to start their new Last of Us Part 2 adventures?
THE LAST OF US PART 2 RELEASE TIME ON PS4
The Last of Us Part 2 release date has been set for Friday, June 19, 2020, on PlayStation 4 consoles.
As many gamers will already know, The Last of Us franchise is a first-party production for PlayStation, meaning it won’t be launching on other platforms.
If you want to play the new game in 2020, you will need to buy it for PS4 or PS4 Pro consoles.
When it comes to a set release time, the US PlayStation Store lists The Last of Us Part 2 going live at Midnight ET.
This could mean that it will be available to play Pacific Time later today, although it won’t be until around 9pm PT.
No such listing has been shared on the PlayStation Store in the UK, so we would predict it going live at midnight GMT.
It should be noted that gamers who have pre-ordered the game can now pre-load it, meaning you will be ready to start your adventure as soon as the game becomes available.
As ever, it will be worth keeping track of whatever is being talked about on the PlayStation social media channels heading into launch day.
More information could be shared before everything goes live, and it certainly looks like The Last of Us Part 2 will be played by a lot of people.
In the Daily Express Online review, The Last of Us Part 2 scored 5/5 but comes with a warning that the game will not be for everyone.
Depending on how much you enjoyed the first game, The Last of Us Part 2 could be your next favourite, albeit tense and dread-filled, post-apocalyptic story to explore.
