The Masked Singer: Octopus’ identity exposed as huge clue dropped hours before reveal? 1

Last week, footballing great Teddy Sheringham was unmasked as he sang Evergreen by Will Young dressed as The Tree, after numerous wrong guesses from the judges. Bosses have done an excellent job at keeping the celebrities true identities under wraps, but bookies have now revealed who they think is behind the Octopus costume, and it’s not who you think.

There have been so many wrong guesses as to who is really behind the elaborate costumes, but Ladbrokes believes that the singer Natalie Imbruglia is behind the Octopus.

Last week saw the Octopus performing once again for the judges, wowing them but the clues still had them baffled, the judges have guessed at Cara Delevingne and Nicole Sherzinger.

Last week she said: “I have never considered that something I love could be my job, I’m always learning but I am certainly no apprentice.

“To get ahead in this game you need to have a plan and let me tell you, I mean business.”

But not even the celebrities know who is taking part as it was revealed that there are some very strict rules backstage.

A couple of weeks ago it was former Home Secretary Alan Johnson who was unmasked from his role as the Pharaoh.

Alan told the MailOnline: “The contestants all had our own dressing room. We were not allowed to mingle with each other, and there was certainly no green room where we might have enjoyed a calming glass of wine before our performances.

He added: “While I did tell my wife in strictest confidence, neither my children nor grandchildren knew that I was doing it. Instead, I told them enigmatically to watch the show on Sunday night as they might enjoy it.

“In the past 24 hours I’ve been deluged by friends asking me who I think is going to win, and to speculate as to who are the people behind the masks. I can honestly say that I have absolutely no idea.”
