The Voice Kids kicked off with a brand new series on Saturday night, with new coach Paloma Faith joining the line-up.
But returning coaches will.i.am and Danny Jones got off to an awkward start after Black Eyed Peas hitmaker will made a sly dig at his co-star.
The first superstar youngster on the blind auditions was 12-year-old Dara from Ireland, and he impressed all four coaches so had his pick of any of them.
Will told Dara: “I think you’re awesome. I don’t sing as well as Paloma or Pixie [Lott] but…”
Before will could continue his thought, McFly star Danny quipped: “Or Danny…”
The cheeky dig was quickly glossed over though, as Dara had a tough decision to make – who would he choose?
He ended up deciding to join Team Paloma, leaving the other three coaches gutted.
After Dara left the stage, the coaches mused about the first hopeful of the series.
Seriously impressed by the pre-teen’s vocals, Paloma said: “It could’ve been an adult woman. I’m not going to say too much but… pretty good!”
Loving the show, Paloma continued: “This is such a good experience and I can’t wait to move forward to the next kid.”
Viewers were really enjoying having Paloma and her positivity in the red chairs.
One tweeted: “I love Paloma Faith, not only is she talented and a lovely person, she’s fabulously crazy.”
Another wrote: “Paloma, too early to talk about the winner! You got her though.”
A third laughed: “Paloma is bat s*** crazy! Great addition to the show and a brilliant role model for the kids too! I’d trust my daughter’s talent under her provision.”
Someone else simply wrote: “I love Paloma, she’s brilliant.”
While a fifth added: “Paloma is nuts! Love her!”
Could Paloma have the winner of the series on her team after just one episode?
The Voice Kids UK continues next Saturday at 7.25pm on ITV
