Valorant Beta Key: Get a beta bey this week on Twitch to be ready for Rated Mode release 1

Valorant Twitch Drops are still in high demand and this may only grow in the coming days with the launch of a big new feature. The number of people watching Valorant Beta Key streams may have dropped but there are still over 300,000 accounts watching the game. And there’s a chance that this number may spike later this week when Riot Games launches its Rated Mode update.

This will be part of Valorant patch 0.49, which is still without a firm release date but is on schedule to arrive later this week.

This was confirmed by game director Joe Ziegler on Twitter, who revealed that testing for the new patch was still ongoing.

“Some clarity: there is no patch 0.48, the next patch will be 0.49,” Ziegler informed gamers on Twitter.

“Rated mode will go live as soon as we’re confident in the stability of that patch on live. Current ETA for 0.49 is sometime next week. Will let you know more specifics as we get closer.”

For those who might have missed it, rated mode will provide ranked matchmaking for those gamers who have completed 20 Unrated matches.

The only downside is that your Valorant closed beta rank will not carry over to full launch during Summer 2020.

“Valorant’s Competitive mode uses the same in-game rules and format as the Unrated mode, but with a focus on higher-stakes competition,” Riot Games adds.

“VALORANT’s competitive system is still in its early stages, and we plan to evolve it over time, but we have a core experience we wanted to share with you all in closed beta so that we can build and evolve the mode together.

“While we plan to keep Unrated mode always available, Competitive matchmaking may be disabled for short periods throughout the closed beta as we work to refine the mode and incorporate your feedback.”

HOW TO GET A VALORANT BETA KEY?

The Valorant Beta Key process has been set up as a partnership between Riot Games and Twitch.

This means that you will need to register for a Riot account and then link that account with one you have with Twitch.
