Keto diet advocate who goes by “Sugarfreebrie” on Instagram claims the plan has helped her lose five stone. The nutrition expert has lost 80lbs on the diet. She now posts about the diet on her social media.
Writing about her transformation on the diet, Brie told her followers: “I can honestly say a year ago, I never would’ve imagined surpassing my goal of a 50lbs weight loss, but here I am 75lbs lighter and feeling better than ever!”
Posting a before and after images, she added: “The girl on the left was ashamed of her body and would cover it up to make sure no one would see it.
“The NEW girl on the right is confident, empowered, and STRONG!”
Brie describes herself as a “#Keto enthusiast, gym goer and coffee connoisseur.”

What is the keto diet?
The keto diet is a high-fat, low-carb food plan that aims to put the body into a different metabolic state.
This state, known as ketosis, means the body burns fat for fuel, not carbohydrates, as is normal.
What are keto foods?
Foods you should eat on the keto diet include fish, meat, cheese, diary, eggs, low-carb veg and berries.
Those on the diet get around 70 per cent of their carbohydrates from fat, and up to five per cent from carbs, and the rest are protein.

Brie features a number of delicious looking keto foods on her Instagram page.
It includes the likes of prosciutto wrapped asparagus, brisket, steak with cheese and onions, tacos with a cheese shell and breakfasts of avocado, fried eggs and bacon.
As well as switching up her diet, Brie also works out four to five times a week, and competes in long distance running races.
She added to followers: “Fitting in a 20 minute workout in the morning is sometimes all I have time for with work, social activities, volunteering, traveling, etc… so that’s what I work with. This transformation doesn’t happen overnight and it is a constant lifestyle choice to keep active and eat healthy (with the occasional treat).”
She said: “It is the first ‘diet’ that has ever truly worked for me. I don’t ever feel hungry or deprived, which makes it easy for me to treat it as a long-term lifestyle versus a short-term diet where I’m just waiting for my next cheat day.”
Keto meal plan
Breakfast: Coffee with a splash of heavy cream, Stevia, a Two Good yogurt or Costco protein bar and collagen peptides.
Lunch: Homemade crockpot low-carb chilli.
Snacks: Almonds, pecans, or pumpkin seeds.
Dinner: Baked salmon with roasted asparagus or Brussels sprouts.
Dessert: Fresh strawberries with heavy cream, Stevia-sweetened chocolate, or low-carb ice cream.
