The Australian grappler is adamant that we all need to “put our egos to the side” and stand by the African American community and their calls for justice.
The 23-year-old athlete insists it is essential that everyone treats each other with respect and kindness especially during this difficult time when the coronavirus has claimed hundreds of thousands of lives around the world.
Ripley told Express Sport: “At the end of the day, Black Lives Matter and we all know this and I get when people say all lives matter, I understand.
“But at this current time, it’s not us that are in danger so we need to put our egos to the side and help the black community because they’re suffering and I don’t want them to suffer. No one wants them to suffer.
