The wrestling legend had to quit due to an injury she acquired a couple of years ago but she’s all set for a career re-boot as a soap star.
She tweeted: “For all my brits out here… @itvcorrie just followed me and I could not be happier, throw me in an episode Corrie Orrieeee [sic].”
Much to fans’ excitement Corrie then replied to say they had sent her a direct message on Instagram.
And everyone went into overdrive at the possibility.
One wrote: “Ok, this is amazing. We love Corrie here.
“Corrie do yourself a huge favour and get this talented lady onto the cobbles. Ratings would go through the roof.”
A second penned: “This is something I want to see. Paige in Corrie.”
Another added: “Damn that’s cool not watched Corrie since May but I’d watch if I found out Paige was in it.”
Could Coronation Street’s DM to the star mean a secret cameo is in the works?
If Paige makes it on to the show, she won’t the first truly famous face to hit the Rovers.
Cameo appearances have been made by Dame Joan Collins, Sir Ian McKellen, Joanna Lumley, Peter Kay, Paddy McGuinness, as well as the late Honor Blackman.
Meanwhile, Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby cameoed on the famous This Morning sofas.
They played a part in the exit storyline of Rosie Webster (Helen Flanagan) who was heading off on maternity leave.
Rosie, along with Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) and Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) appeared on the This Morning sofa after taking down a drug lord on the Street.
