Xbox One Gold subscribers be warned: this is your last chance to download and play a multi-billion dollar franchise for free. Microsoft’s Free Play Days promotion made a return this weekend, featuring two vastly different games from the Xbox One games library. If you want to take advantage of the promotion and play a couple of big hitters without spending any money, then be sure to visit the Xbox website before it’s too late.
Available to download until 7.59am BST on July 13, Xbox One owners can grab The Sims 4 and Citadel: Forged with Fire.
You’ll need to be an Xbox Gold subscriber in order to take advantage of the deal, but if you are, you can play the full games for free.
If you want to continue playing after the Free Play Days trial comes to an end, you can purchase both games at discounted prices.
And don’t worry, all of your Achievements and progress will be intact if you do decide to make a full purchase.
“Want to keep the fun going?” reads a Microsoft post. “Then purchase the games and other editions at a limited time discount and continue playing while keeping your Gamerscore and earned achievements during the event!”
UK customers can pick up The Sims 4 Standard Edition for just £13.99, or the Deluxe Party Edition for £17.99.
All of the game’s expansions are also available at discounted prices, including the Vampires Pack, the Island Living Pack and the Dogs and Cats Bundle.
Generating billions in revenue and selling more than 200 million lifetime copies, The Sims is a hugely popular gaming series from Electronic Arts.
“Play with life as The Sims 4 will be available to play during Free Play Days weekend for Xbox Live Gold members.
“Create your own unique characters with dynamic personalities, customize every detail of your home and explore vibrant worlds, or grow new relationships and start a brand-new family.
“Unleash your imagination and create a world that’s an expression of you! And make sure to check out the savings on all The Sims 4 content, including expansion packs and more in the Microsoft Store!”
