UPDATE: Microsoft has confirmed that there are ongoing issues with Xbox Live servers and core online services not working properly.
This includes issues with chatting with other players and using your Friends List to team up. Many gamers are reporting that their entire Friends List is currently offline.
A message from Microsoft provides the latest on tonight’s Xbox One outage, telling fans: “Our engineers and developers are actively continuing to work to resolve the issue causing some members to have problems using this feature. Stay tuned, and thanks for your patience.”
ORIGINAL: According to gamers trying to use core online services tonight, Xbox Live servers are down.
This doesn’t appear to be a widespread problem, but it does seem to be affecting gamers using Xbox One consoles.
It’s unclear what has caused the outage in services tonight, or how long they might last.
Microsoft has yet to share any update on it via the official Xbox Live server Status website.
It appears tonight’s problems may be tied to issues using Party features online.
One user writes: “Looking for a group won’t refresh and it’s really slow.”
While another adds: “Whenever I want to play comp on overwatch I can’t join party by Xbox isn’t working properly.”
If problems persist, Microsoft is expected to share a new update on the current situation.
