The 35 year old has been showing off her blossoming baby bump during relaxing dog walks with her spouse during her third trimester, but she has taken extra measures in preparation for the arrival of her baby, as the “reality” of motherhood has kicked in.
The mother-to-be – who announced her pregnancy in June – said: “As the final month nears and the bump grows prouder each day, movement is certainly getting more awkward. The transformations to my body that are taking place as it prepares for childbirth have meant that the sound sleeps and the baby bubble effect have gone. Reality is finally kicking in.”
So what is the pregnancy hack Pippa swears by?
Pippa has started to meditate twice daily for 20 minutes in the weeks running up to her due date to help her remain calm and have a positive wellbeing.
Writing in her column for Waitrose Kitchen, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis‘ aunt said: “I was sceptical at first, but after practicing this discipline for the past month I have noticed a huge difference in my mental wellbeing and sense of clarity.
“As a result, one of the biggest changes is that my lower body has tightened up. The knock-on effect is making my back and sacrum both uncomfortable and achy.
“I signed up to a beginners’ meditation class recently to master the tools essential for performing it effectively.”
“This involved learning to meditate twice daily, ideally for 20 minutes, chanting a mantra, while sitting upright, eyes closed and focused.”
“Our teacher stressed that we should ensure we always make time for this because there’s always an excuse not to.”
Pippa believes the exercise is essential for pregnant women ahead of the birth of their little one, but should also be continued post-pregnancy when the baby is born.
She continued: “It’s a good idea to take some wellbeing time for mummy-to-be now and, most importantly, for the future.”
