Managers need to remember that employees who have worked remotely for over a year are likely to be reopen offices. The employee mindset has changed and the teams must embrace new tools, hybrid work models and other new technologies to bring back culture and collaboration.
Businesses large and small will need tools that can help them connect and foster a culture. Remote technology is needed to improve employee education and skill training. To help managers, technology can integrate training tools with AI-powered coaching. These tools will replace the absence of employees from work and allow them to still enjoy the benefits of working remotely. Managers who embrace the new tools also accept that employees will spend some time at home.
What can managers do personally to improve their leadership style when staff return to work?
There are many opinions on the topic of hybrid workplaces. To attract top talent and keep their employees, managers need to change their thinking and explore the advantages of a mixed working environment.
It is difficult to find ways to meet employee expectations while also providing opportunities for employees and managers to engage. Employers will have the ability to analyze their programs, and determine which tool works best for them, if they adopt these tools immediately. This time can also be used to assess the productivity and savings that can be expected from modern remote working technology.
While the world of work is unlikely to change, we now have an opportunity to live in other areas of our lives. Technology allows us to achieve a more balanced life between work and family. This is a permanent change that should be welcomed. Companies can adapt their management style, use new technology and change expectations to help employees transition into work. This will allow them to retain productivity while attracting top talent.
