Man Utd, Tottenham refuses

Arsenal was the Premier League’s biggest spender of money in summer transfer window, spending just over PS150million. Mikel Arteta is feeling the pressure from Arsenal, as they have spent a lot of money on signings.

It’s evident that the Gunners currently are in a transition period and it won’t be an easy fix.

Many have also pointed out that the signings of club members point to a brighter future.

Nuno Tavares and Albert Sambi Lokonga and Ben White are all below the age of 23, and Edu clearly has a clear transfer strategy.

Arsenal may have been lacking in experience over the last weeks, but there are some good solutions amongst the lengthy list of unpaid agents.

Serge Aurier is a player that would improve Arsenal’s chances of success. He has since left Tottenham after the mutual end of their contract.

Gunners lack quality right-back. Aurier can, for all of his flaws, be a valuable asset to the Gunners with his athleticism as well as his excellent cross. It also seems highly unlikely.

Arsenal may also consider Sergio Romero, a former Manchester United goalkeeper who left after Runar Alex Runarsson’s departure. He has now joined OH Leuven on loan in Belgium.

After leaving Old Trafford, the Argentine has been looking for a new club. He could keep Bernd Leno or Aaron Ramsdale busy.

Javier Pastore was linked to Arsenal several times in the past, but now the 32-year old is up for grabs after spells at PSG and most recently with Roma.

This experienced Argentine has a winning mindset and could drive standards at London Colney’s training pitches.

Another deal seems unlikely, but David Luiz has yet to sign a contract with a new club since he left Arsenal earlier in the summer.

Luiz could be a valuable asset to Arsenal’s reserve defence, as Rob Holding, Calum Chambers, and Pablo Mari are all in trouble.

Although he did not have a good relationship with Arteta during his time at the club, he is likely to give him another chance. Despite all of these faults, Luiz is an excellent organiser and defender, which is better than the current offer.
