Helen Mirren, 74, had a slight problem as she attended the 77th annual Golden Globe awards on Sunday night. The star experienced everyone’s worst nightmare – a wardrobe malfunction.
But, as luck would have it, she had good friend Meryl Streep nearby to lend a much needed helping hand to prevent the situation from getting progressively worse.
From pictures posted to Twitter, her glamorous scarlet gown seemed to have split at the side under her arm, which could have turned into an absolute disaster for her, as she gracefully walked the red carpet at this years awards.
The photo captured during the ceremony showed the pair in a private room filled with mirrors and Meryl bending down to help out her fellow actress in her time of need.
And, the heartwarming moment went viral Twitter, with fans applauding the act of support, deeming it “friendship goals”.

Helen was nominated for Best Actress – Miniseries or Television Film for her role in HBO’s Catherine the Great.
Meryl was also nominated for Supporting Actress in a Series, Miniseries, or Motion Picture for TV for her role in Big Little Lies.
The pair, who were sat at the same table for the evening, seemed to be the talk of the town on Twitter, as fans gushed over their stunning ensembles as they were pictured deep in conversation with each other on numerous occasions.
