What happened to Hull Love Islanders after the show ended

Love Island returns to our screens on Monday evening with fans eagerly waiting to meet the new set of sexy singletons.

The new series will have us captivated by the love in the sun as we hear “I got a text”.

Some fall in love, some fall out with everyone, whilst others just end up making friends and can’t seem to find ‘the one’.

Over the years there has been a wide variety of contestants from all over the UK with many representing Yorkshire and the Humber and making it to the very end.

In the initial line up for the 2021 series, there are no local lovers, but Casa Amour may be the golden opportunity for Yorkshire’s finest.

Let’s take a look at where the Love Islanders from Hull and Yorkshire are now.

Danny Williams

Hull-born Danny Williams is often seen working out in the gym

Danny, from Hull appeared in the fifth season of Love Island in 2019.

He came later to the villa, arriving on day six and coupled up with Yewande.

Fellow islanders were shocked when he then chose to couple up with new islander Arabella in week four.

She was later dumped from the Island and Danny recoupled with Jourdan, before being dumped on day 36.

The couple are no longer together.

The ab-tastic influencer has 510,000 followers on Instagram and shares workout, fashion and cooking content.

He often shares how to reach your daily goals and advice on getting motivated.

Cally Beech

Cally is now a mum

Cally Beech rose to fame when she appeared on the hit show in 2014.

She coupled up with Luis Morrison and the UK watched the pair fall in love on screen.

They remained together outside of the show and had their daughter Vienna together.

Despite calling quits on their romance, the pair share love in their adorable four-year-old.

And we often see snaps of little Vienna on her mum Cally’s Instagram account, on which the reality star boasts 541,000 followers.

The brunette beauty shares a stunning home with her little one, and she often posts snaps of it on social media.

Cally recently shared snaps of a wedding she attended with boyfriend Nathan Malcolm.

She was first spotted dating him back in 2019, but does not often share photographs of them together.

She hit back on social media after one follower criticised her new beau.

The follower wrote: “So you have a baby, then break up with the dad”.

Cally, who publicly hit out at Luis following their split replied: “He cheated on me thanks very much u know f*** all n I’m very happy but thanks for ur input hun.”

Zara Holland

Zara Holland

Hull’s own Zara has certainly been one of the more controversial contestants.

She was best-known for sharing about her experiences as Miss Great Britain, before loosing her title for having sex on the show.

Post Love Island she was seen to be jet setting across the globe.

But her lavish lifestyle landed her in trouble when she breached Covid rules in Barbados.

The 25-year-old has been keeping a low profile recently after she paid a £4,500 fine in the Caribbean earlier this year for trying to flee the country despite her boyfriend testing positive for Covid.

Zara and her partner Elliot Love, 30, were intercepted at the island’s airport and faced a jail sentence of up to a year, before both were let off with fines.

She took a break from social media for a while, but is now back to sharing snaps with her 268,000 followers.

She now spends much of her time posting pictures of her boutique collection at Mimi Boutique, which she owns with her mum.

Georgia Steel

Georgia Steel is from North Yorkshire

Georgia Steel, from Thirsk, was one of the strongest personalities on the fourth season of Love Island in 2018.

And she has become quite the influencer with 1.3million followers, and has landed some big brand deals with the likes of Boux Avenue.

In the villa she was originally coupled up with Josh and was left shocked when he returned from the Casa Amor villa in week five having recoupled with Kazimir.

She later then coupled up with Sam Bird and the pair were dumped from the island after refusing to re-couple with other people.

The couple split three months after leaving the show.

The TV personality remained on reality shows, appearing on Celebs Go Dating, Celebs on the Ranch and Ex on the Beach: Peak of Love.

Simon Searles

Simon Searles

Simon Searles, from Leeds was in the third season of Love Island in 2017.

He entered on day 19 but was dumped on day 23.

Simon still lives in his home city and is the owner of Union Barbers Leeds in Woodhouse.

He has 108,000 followers on Instagram, but has set his profile to private to keep his life away from the spotlight.

Javi Shephard

Javi insisted Zara Holland would definitely not be his type in the outside world

Javi Shephard, from York, entered the villa on day one but only lasted six days after failing to couple up.

The surveyor went on to say he was “too cultured” for Love Island in subsequent interviews, and also criticised fellow Yorkshire contestant Zara Holland after she refused to couple up with him.

He now has 40,000 followers on Instagram and is happily coupled up.

Javi loves posting pictures of his walks across Yorkshire.

Love Island Instagram rich list as islanders 'get richer every year'

Love Island is set to return next with, with fans eagerly waiting to meet the new set of sexy singletons.

The new series starts on June 28 where the return of love in the sun and “I got a text” will captivate the UK over the summer.

And by now we have pretty much got the hang of how the series works.

Some fall in love, some fall out with everyone, whilst others just end up making friends and can’t seem to find ‘the one’.

But not all hope is lost for those singletons who just can’t find the one – there is a hefty cheque for most Islanders when the show ends.

A number of stars from the show are earning the big bucks, with some earning millions – a lot of which can come from sponsored Instagram posts.

Kem Cetinay went on to have a gig on This Morning, whilst the likes of Olivia Buckland and Molly-Mae Hague have landed major brand deals and launched their own clothing range.

Alex George, better known as Dr Alex, has been appointed a Youth Mental Health Ambassador by the Prime Minister.

The 2021 series includes a beauty queen, a semi-pro footballer and an inspiration PE teacher, who has become the show’s first ever disabled star.

And according to retailer Coffee Friend, the contestants are set to be the richest yet.

The average Islander’s Instagram following has grown 61% each summer – rising by more than 800,000 followers since Series 1 in 2015.

The average Islander in upcoming Series 7 is estimated to make £252,000 – more than the average house price in the UK – in their first year just from sponsored Instagram posts.

Mollie-Mae Hague is the highest earning Love Islander on Instagram earning an estimated £20,600 per sponsored post, based on the latest social media figures.

Celebrity talent agent says: “For the contestants themselves it’s their time to shine and undoubtedly reap the rewards while possibly becoming the richest contestants yet as brands and live events get ready to pounce.”

Her annual income based on her average five posts a month would therefore be £1,236,000 – wow!

2. Tommy Fury

Tommy has 3.4million Instagram followers making an average of £14,200 per post.

His annual income based on an average of five posts a month is £852,000.

3. Dani Dyer

New mum Dani has 3.4million Instagram followers making an average of £14,000 per post.

Her annual income based on her average five posts a month is £840,000.

4. Maura Higgins

Maura has 3.2million Instagram followers making an average of £13,300 per post.

5. Amber Gill
