Mirror universe where time runs BACKWARDS created by Big Bang – shock claim

This universe, which scientists have dubbed the ‘anti-universe’, could have, or still does, run backwards in time from the point of the Big Bang. Its cosmos is made of antimatter. While the claim does seem astonishing, leading physicists believe it could answer some of the universe’s biggest mysteries. When the Big Bang occurred, an equal amount of matter and antimatter was created, so it has baffled scientists as to why there is more matter in the universe.

But the new proposal suggests that more antimatter is in the anti-universe, where it has been since the formation of the cosmos.

Experts from the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics in Ontario also add that it could explain the existence of dark matter – an unknown substance which makes up around 95 percent of the universe.

If there were to be no anti-universe, the experts explain, this would violate a fundamental law of physics called CPT symmetry – a law which states that physics is unchanged when time, space, and matter-antimatter are all reversed.

In the moments after the Big Bang, the universe went through a rapid expansion which violates CPT symmetry.

But the experts say that by having the anti-universe, CPT symmetry remains in tact as it would have balanced both universes out.

The scientists behind the claim admit there are still many details to iron out, but the theory would solve many mysteries of the universe without having to create new particles.

Neil Turok of the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics said: “There is this frame of mind that you explain a new phenomenon by inventing a new particle or field.

“I think that may turn out to be misguided.
