Jorge Silva, the Deputy Minister for Consumer Defence told Efe that it was confirmed that hamburgers were sold at that location and that one finger of the worker who had lost his two fingers on Friday, the hamburger contained part of the finger of the worker.
Later, it was discovered that the worker at the meat grinder factory which provides burgers for 20 area restaurants had suffered two finger injuries while using a cutting device.
Although he was taken immediately to the hospital, it seems that at most one finger was not recovered.
The man was cooking up to 176 lbs of meat at the time of the incident.

He said, “We will punish them. The Penal Code provides a maximum penalty of 10 years imprisonment.”
The restaurant said in a statement that it had adhered to all safety, health and food regulations throughout its 21-year history.
The Ministry of Labour ordered that all hamburger production operations be stopped until their employees are able to prove they are properly trained.
Inspectors have deemed many of the factories that produce meat unsafe.
According to them, there have been at least three more instances in which employees lost their fingers.
Surprisingly, even though it’s rare, this isn’t the first time a human finger has been found in a hamburger.
A finger was found in Punja’s Chicken Burger last April.
This news prompted the government to crack down on state-owned restaurants due to concerns that safety and health standards weren’t being followed.
